Great cozy little Christmas tree farm in a central location. In the past I had always gone to Medina with my family to get Christmas trees, but this year since I was getting my first Christmas tree on my own, I decided to try out a new place.
Now normally picking out the Christmas tree is a drawn out affair and ends up with myself and all of my siblings shivering with frostbitten toes, and my stepdad insisting that the one we picked has bald spots. That being said, my approach to Christmas tree shopping is «get in, get out»… and this place satisfied exactly that.
From the moment I came in, I felt welcomed by the staff as they asked us if we had any questions or needed help finding something. The «chop your own» option closes a little earlier at 5, but my lazy self was perfectly happy with the pre-​cut option. They actually had them corralled by size/​type/​height, which is really convenient if you already have an idea of what you want.
Like most Christmas tree farms, they offer free needle shaking and tree wrapping. The staff even loaded it in my car for me, and I was pleased to find they offered free popcorn and hot beverages inside where the checkout is. I paid about $ 55 for a 5 foot tree, which I think is pretty reasonable compared to other places. Note that there is a small fee for credit cards, so bring cash if you have it!
I would encourage others to come here for sure, from start to finish the process took only about 20 minutes… it’s much better than standing in line at Wal-​Mart with your fake tree!

It had been years since I actually went to a Christmas Tree Farm but my fiancèe and I wanted to start a fun new tradition this year. The wonderful experience we had at Swan Farms encapsulated everything we wanted in a Christmas Tree Farm.
When we arrived at the small family owned farm, we went inside for some complimentary hot cocoa that really added to the ‘Holiday-​ness’ of the experience. Everyone inside, presumably family, was very nice and the owner even gave us some good advice on picking out a tree.
We first walked out back in their ‘cut-​your-​own’ fields but those trees apparently go really quick in the first couple days and we didn’t find a tree to cut ourselves that we really wanted — though, there were still great options left, just none as tall as we we’re looking for — but it was still so much fun walking around and looking at all the trees.
They had a plethora of great pre-​cut trees ready to take home, thankfully. There are rows and rows of trees of varying types, fullness, and height that made it fun to look around while selecting the perfect tree. Once we did decide on ‘the One’, two of the workers gave us a fresh cut on it, tied it to the top of our car, and offered us tips on how to care for the tree during the Holidays.
Swan Farm truly gave me that ineffable feeling from youth when taking home a Christmas tree — from the rows of trees, the friendly customer service, and down to the hot chocolate sipped while walking.

I love this place! Please note that the Sunday hours are actually until 6pm. Cut your own ends at 5pm.
We picked a pre cut tree from here last year and loved it. It lasted the entire season without dying and leaving a huge mess to clean.
This year we planned to cut our own, but were informed that there were few quality tress left. We instead picked a great pre-​cut Fraser Fir.
While inside paying for our tree, it was secured to our vehicle. The mini got a complimentary cup of hot coco and a candy cane.

Still a 5-​star, family-​run farm, but worth an update!
For the past two years we’ve been cutting our own trees here at Swan Farm. This year, since Thanksgiving was so late in the month, we didn’t get here quite in time to cut our own. However – we did purchase a pre-​cut Scotch Pine that was huge and perfect, for only $ 48. Their pre-​cut trees are brought in from another Ohio farm, and haven’t been sitting around since August. Ours was cut maybe a week before we purchased it, not even.
Even though picking out and cutting down your own tree is a special treat, snagging one of these pre-​cut trees didn’t take away from the wonderful experience and customer service. The gal outside walked us over to the Scotch Pines and even helped us measure the tree to make sure it would fit in our house. Once we did pick it out, we were sent inside while they safely secured this huge tree to our car. This is the kind of service I love!
Inside, I’m assuming the owner of the farm checked us out – and asked us if we’d been there before. He’s always so warm, welcoming and talkative! The little guy was able to warm up with a cup of hot cocoa and a candy cane (free inside!), so he was happy!
My favorite tree farm in CLE+!!

Everything I have been looking for in a tree farm. It’s the whole picturesque package. Twinkling lights an old farmhouse and a nice cup of hot cocoa puts you in the old fashioned frame of mind. The selection was nice and we cut down the most beautiful tree at a reasonable price.

Yep, best farm around. I really like their beets too!

I had a really fun time choosing the perfect tree at this low-​key, friendly tree farm. It came highly recommended by fellow Unilocalers and I am glad I went! As Cara mentioned, the staff was really helpful and went out of their way to make our selection process, as well as the wrapping and mounting to the car, very simple. I would without a doubt visit Swan Farm again!
