Dawson Trucking did an almost awesome job installing a new gravel driveway earlier this year. The start of work was delayed due to county regulating heavy vehicles on roads due to frost conditions. The company had informed us of that at the get-​go. When it finally wamed up, their heavy equipment arrived and work began. They scraped out the weeds, leveled the bed, poured in a base layer of white rocksl, and then leveled and tamped the surface again. The final layer included sand mixed with gravel to match the existing section of driveway already in place. The joints between the new and old are seamless and the edges in the new drive clean. The new section is a wonderful surface to drive on.
However, there was miscommunication somewhere and the finished new section was 2 feet wider than contracted for. This resulted in the amount of top gravel to be spread very thinly and left the edges exposing the white bedrocks.
Conversations with staff in the office and the gentlemen in the field has always been friendly, and helpful. Prices are competitive. They also sell and deliver sand, aggregate, gravel, and ready-​mixed concrete.
