My wife and I pick up vintage board games as we travel to see family. We hit the Valpo location(along with other GW’s in other cities along hwy 30) and scored a bunch of older board games and some puzzles. 100% of our purchases were incomplete. I know workers can’t count every board game, but they should find some way discourage people from donated goods that are useless and unplayable. Goodwill of Indiana made a lot of money that week off of us, but will not make any more off of us. Partial games are worthless and are only good for recycling.

Books and VHS tapes are in good condition. The people who work here are mostly friendly. It’s not as clean as it could be and the prices are a little high for a Goodwill.

The Valparaiso Goodwill is a great place to find high end name brands at dirt cheap prices. This one has less junk and funk than Portage, Michigan City and the others in the area.

This Goodwill is alright on half off day. Otherwise it is pricey(Not exactly goodwill to those down on their luck or needing help in these times) & has very little outside of clothing.

I’ve gotten some awesome items here including a really nice set of 70’s style dishes. However the store is kind of dirty and cramped and they are way, way overpriced. I mean in recent years for some reason Goodwill has really raised their prices(I guess even they are feeling the economy) but this one is the highest one in the region. And really their selection is not as good as the Portage Goodwill.

I love shopping the Goodwill stores wherever I am. I even do it on vacation, looking for local souveniers at a bargain. Valpo’s store is great — good variety, clean & organized, often have specials; I rarely leave empty handed. I wish the staff were more friendly, though. They come across as tired and overworked.

In short, they have a decent selection, but they are a bit pricey for the standard Goodwill. I’ve been in a few times but never found much– except for a nice set of slightly mismatched snifters.

This was my favorite Goodwill before they opened the one in Portage. I’ve scored many treasures here: –Brand new Invader Zim shirt –John Mayer shirt –Awesome rainbow platform sneakers for my sister(they didn’t fit me but I still had to buy them. Thankfully they fit her and she loved them) –a new stool for behind the counter at work for THREEDOLLARS!!!(to replace the $ 40 one that’s currently falling apart) And…the best score EVER: A shirt advertising 3 Vodka that says«Can I interest you in a 3some?» on the front. And it was brand-spankin’ new. It doesn’t get better than that, folks.
