We often go to Kohl’s and are pleased. I did my «oh my gosh! What shall I get my wife for Christmas» shopping at 4 PM Christmas Eve. I figured that no matter what I got, having a gift item was better than a gift card: more personal — it looked as if I spent time thinking what to buy. I checked out with Pat, a very, very pleasant cashier (and it WAS late Christmas Eve!) who was courteous, helpful and didn’t make me feel rushed. As I explained why I was buying the sweater gift instead of a gift card, she said, «Oh, in that case I’ll give you a Kohl’s Gift Receipt.» I was surprised: maybe all stores do this, but the gift receipt gives the item and not the price so my wife didn’t know how much I spent. :) One other thing that REALLY impressed me about the store was that it has electric vehicle charging stations in front. So you can shop and charge your hybrid/​electric car at the same time.

I love Kohl’s, but after the terrible service I just experienced at the Valparaiso location, I highly recommend driving to the next nearest Kohls! Their Customer Service Desk is backwards, and their employees not so polite. You will be treated better as a customer elsewhere and that’s a fact!

I don’t know why I’ve stumbled upon this place. I’m a Chicagoan, but I was seeking for some specific item at Kohl’s that I couldn’t find at my neighborhood Kohl’s location.
Well, I still couldn’t find it here, even though the selections for juniors, misses, and women’s ready-​to-​wear were pretty extensive. I was looking for the mock-​layered, AB Studio brand, shirt/​sweater combo. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the size and the color I wanted (white shirt/​navy sweater).
Otherwise, I think I could have found some bargains here, if I needed some cute clothes. I used to manage a clothing store, so I’m good in that department. Walking into this Kohl’s was SO different from walking into any Kohl’s in Chicagoland: it was clean, organized for the most part, and human beings here appeared to be civil.

Hit the clearance & bring a coupon & you might feel like you got a deal. Black Friday deals are really good here.

This store was a bit more chaotic-​feeling than others that I have shopped. The jewelry section was not very neat as well as the rest of the store.
However, they do have some great deals in the home section on small electrics and pots and pans.

I love coming to this Kohl’s more than the one near the mall.
It’s never as crowded and a little more cleaned up.
But since it’s a little far, I don’t as often.
But I still love the sales and there’s usually always
something on sale.
