Sandberg’s Towing & Recovery

This place is terrible.
If I had the choice I would not give them a star.
They towed my car early in the afternoon and had to get my ignition «fixed”//“repaired». I didn’t even hear from them till the next to pick up my car. I called the next day after my car was towed at 9am and again at noon and they still haven’t looked at it and that they’ll give me a call to give me the estimate and the details etc. Got a call at 2pm to pick up my car and was ready. They didn’t give me an estimate and showed up to receive a 350 charge including the tow service.
This place is a load of bullshit. Not only did they not follow up with their own policies
but found another «problem» –my car was leaking steering fluid everywhere and told me to bring it back the next day. Why on earth would I bring it back if there was absolutely nothing leaking from my car when they took it. The «mechanic» absolutely looked confused and hesitated when I asked if he replaced the part or fixed the part ignition. He looked dumbfounded and couldn’t even give a straight answer.
Advice: Skip this place and go to these below.
Since then, I have researched locations and spoke to a few Valpo people found two really great mechanics in Valparaiso: Gills Auto Repair and Busy Bee Auto Repair (Give student discounts) Def. recommend these two locations.

Great honest local company. Reasonable and timely repairs and towing services. Definitely a good option if you’re looking for a mechanic or a towing service.
