Walked in with my wife and newborn to enjoy a meal after house-​hunting all day and was greeted by an explosion of cigarette smoke. Found the smoke-​free dining room and then was told we had to leave because no one under 21 was permitted in the restaurant, including the smoke free area, due to their desire to keep cancer sticks indoors and in keeping in compliance with state laws. A warning about non-​family-​friendly dining on their website would have been nice…

Wonderful food. Italian beef was spot on! Chicken florentine was delicious too. Service was good, nothing spectacular, but the server was very friendly and relatable. It was busy but the staff did a good job of working together, taking out food for each other and checking on guests for each other. I’d definitely go back!

This place is the place to go. I got the John Wayne burger. Bacon cheeseburger with jalapeños. It was delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Plus they have shuffleboard, dart, and skiball. Best bar/​restaurant in Valparaiso.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Semento’s in valpo. Our friends ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich which looked delicious [they split it since it was huge]. I had the white lake perch which was cooked perfectly. My husband had a huge burger on pretzel bun. All of our food came quickly and our waitress rocked. We also enjoyed nice drinks. I love my crown apple drink. It was so unique. Definitely a great place to check out. They have a non smoking section too. It’s a little gem with good prices and huge helpings of food. You won’t leave hungry or disappointed.

Awful Italian beef– dry, soggy bun, and au jus was way too herby. Fries cooked in old oil. Husband’s reuban did not come with thousand Island dressing and we had ordered takeout. fried zucchini was awful. They were super friendly but we will never go there again.

Semento’s is our go-​to place for hearty, delicious hamburgers and sandwiches. Their fish is also very good. Great, friendly service, reasonable prices, and a dining room that offers a non-​smoking section make this restaurant/​bar one of our favorites.

Favorite local bar, fantastic friendly staff and great food. Italian Beef is great. Turkey Club is gigantic. Best bar food in Valparaiso. Everything is good.

Stop in for a late lunch or early dinner. The burgers are to die for. The service that they provide is second to none. Tony is a fantastic bartender and makes great drinks. They have darts and pool tables so you can relax and enjoy the evening with some games. I highly recommend going here and checking it out!

Semento’s has good chicken wings. The bar is pretty broken down and smoky but the wings are worth it.
