I totally understand why the other reviews on this store in Valparaiso are so poor, this establishment is absolutely horrible. The service is another level below poor, I would rate 0 stars if I could. The employees have no idea what they are doing, they work at the slowest pace I have ever seen in my life. They are laughing and joking around while customers just stand there and wait for service. Two out of three employees working in the store today, Sunday, had to keep asking another employee for help because they had no idea what they are doing. They do not have any replacement phones in stock if yours is defective, so don’t waste your time anyways. I was there for over 90 minutes today and they could not solve my defective phone issue. I watched at least 5 people walk out because they were tired of waiting and being ignored. Where is the owner of this place? Is he watching on the cameras just laughing at the people walking out while he loses business? Overall, this place needs to be shut down and replaced with a real Apple store ASAP. This establishment gives Apple a bad name!

Simply outstanding! A real and pleasant surprise. Apparent staff changes have helped. The desk clerk was friendly and informative as to the process though, by her own admission, she was not a tech and could not answer my tech questions. Brought in two Mac Pro’s on a Thursday and had one back by Saturday. The other should be done around Tuesday. Everything promised was delivered ahead of schedule and under quote. Simply outstanding. I don’t hand out compliments easily. Try it! Totally worth the time and money.

So, I walked to the Genius Bar and asked the guy if there was a way to connect an external hard drive to an iPad. He flatly said, «No.» I repeated the question. He reiterated that it was impossible, that the iPad wasn’t set up that way and never will be. I looked it up on YouTube. Turns out you can, if you use two special cords this Simply Mac sells and could have sold me had the supposed genius really been a genius and not an idiot. He was awfully sure of himself. That’s always the first sign of trouble is when you’ve stopped looking things up to make sure you’re correct before you tell a customer you won’t help them.

A great experience. I just stopped in to buy some headphones via a coupon and I had to wait for them to wait on another customer, but who cares. I got what I wanted in short time. They answered all my questions, and I got a hell of a deal. I have to add this to my review… the Beats by Dre headphones were defective and would not turn on and after speaking to Beats all the wanted me to do was send them so they could«repair» a brand new pair of headphones. The good news Simply Mac stood behind the purchase and refunded me 100% of my money unlike Beats who just wanted to fix a brand new pair of headphones. good job @SimplyMac I will be back. DW

I’ve always wondered why there are not more certified Mac stores in NWI. This Simply Mac store is quite possibly the reason there are not more. I went to the shop with questions about a common problem with the graphics card in 2011 MacBook Pros that renders it useless until its logic board is replaced. I was confused as to whether they were replacing the logic board with a newly designed board or the same logic boards that cause the graphics card issues. The thick framed glasses employee seemed annoyed by me asking about this issue and rudely told me «they put the same ones in… you’ll get another 3 years out of it… it will be vintage by then anyway.» The best part about this is while he seemed confident about talking down to me about my «vintage» MacBook, they had an entire display table selling 2009 Apple products. I took my computer to the Apple Store in the Orland Park mall… well worth it. They replaced my logic board with, yes you guessed it, a newly designed logic board and had it ready for pickup in 1 day(simply Mac quoted 5 – 7 days). I’m uncertain whether or not Simply Mac is actually replacing Apple products with the same parts that malfunction or this smug faced employee just literally has no idea what he is talking about. Regardless, if you’re going to consider yourself a «certified retailer and repair» store… you should follow proper protocol and know your products.

Found employees(two young men) to be very patronizing. I came in with a problem after talking to Apple Care who sent me there. Granted they fixed my problem, but their attitude was much to be desired. Definitely need to work on customer service skills.

Excellent customer service and know-how. A hidden gem of Valpo. Everything that the Apple Store offers but close to home. Would recommend to everyone and their mom.
