This review is specifically about copy & print. I had a couple small jobs to get done today and was helped by Patrick. Service was fantastic. I had a bit of a layout issue that Patrick solved right away. He gave me great feedback that really improved my project. I had to split my transaction between business and personal, and he was very accommodating. Very good service, and the bonus was that I got to use a Black Friday/weekend coupon in addition to the great service. Love the new layout of the store too.

Have done business at the Valpo store recently: The Computer Tech and Copy Center employees are the greatest. I custom ordered my biz cards recently. It was a pleasant experience. My husband brought in his laptop for a diagnosis. All went well. We are very satisfied with this store. Will return for office supplies and paper shredding. Yes, they do that, too!

I hate coming to this Staples store unless I absolutely have to. The technology selection outside of laptops and tablets has been reduced to almost nothing since the store’s recent remodel, and their prices our way out of line(the wrong way) versus the competition. My sole reason for even coming here today is to get a price match on FOUR items I recently purchased that were cheaper elsewhere. The customer service here is outright deplorable, particularly at the UPS drop-off area(Heaven forbid I want a receipt for my drop-off). I always feel that I’m inconveniencing the staff by interrupting their busy work of standing around if I should ever have a simple question. I’d seriously recommend going to Target or Best Buy down the road for your supply needs to avoid disappointment at almost every single level of your shopping experience.

Complete shipping failure. I called the store from Chicago because a package to be shipped from there had not arrived on time. This would have been via UPS. My call was answered by someone apparently new to talking professionally on the phone, after much hemming and hawing I was transferred to the copy center where I was told, «The UPS guy didn’t pick it up.» I was offered no additional explanation or any potential remedy for the situation. What really kills me is that, using the same email information I received, someone at the store could have seen that the package had never left the store. Long story short: Arrangements now need to be made on the fly to complete this project in time. Nightmare. UPS may want to reconsider what an outfit like Staples can do to their reputation.
