Venus Spa Nails

The place was clean and they used clean tools but I was very disappointed with my mani and pedi. The man I got was in a rush and gave me a really sloppy manicure. He also kept bugging me to let him do the gel mani instead of what I asked for, he just wouldn’t let it go which was irritating. If I wanted a gel mani I would ask for it, you don’t need to bug me to get it.

I came in an hour before closing and was not greeted at all. The gentleman who did my nails was outside in front smoking before he came in to take me. He was rude and did not even try to chat with me. He rushed through my nails and ended up making quite a few mistakes. I ended up with uneven nails that did not look professionally done. I will not be returning.

Whenever I’m in Valpo, I drive all the way across town to come here to get a mani or pedi. I stopped in at a different nail salon across the street first, but there was a wait and I was in a big rush. I was driving around aimlessly and then saw this place. It is probably the nicest nail salon I’ve ever been in and it’s huge! They have the big, leather massage pedicure chairs, a waiting area and a separate section in the back for drying your nails. Also, they have two or three flat-​screen tv’s to watch.
The guy, who I assume is the owner, is very nice. At my first visit, I told him I was in a big hurry. One girl started my manicure, but after the owner finished up with his client, he personally came over and finished my nails since he knew I needed to get out of there soon. It was the quickest manicure I’ve ever had, but also one of the best. It was very neatly done.
i believe they offer additional services besides mani/​pedis, but I have yet to partake in one. The staff is friendly without being overbearing. I hate salons where, even after being given the hint to leave me alone and just be quiet, they continue to try to chat me up. It’s not going to make your tip any bigger. As if!
