Sod X

My lawn has never looked so good! Knowing nothing about sod, Rico and his team educated me on the products they offer. Rico was a very technical, which I love. He gave me all there is to know on preparing and keeping the sod going. He also recommended a lawn chemical service, which is an absolute CRITICAL! I use them not only as a chemical service, but a second set of eyes on how the lawn is doing. It’s been a couple of months and everything is looking great! Thanks to the SOD X team!

Company does not honor its warranty… I called the owner/​manager Rico and advised that the sod was not doing any good (aka dying off)… I was assured by Rico not to worry as he was the owner and manager and wouldn’t leave me out to dry… Don’t worry… called again the next month and was advised the same. after my sixth call I again got the run around except this time he advises that he can’t be responsible for what mother nature does… This is a sod business… and he comes up with an excuse like this after 3 months of phone calls and reassurances!!! Stay away and save your money… find another dealer… this place will take your money and then leave you hanging… highly NOT RECOMMENDED!

Rico was quick to come with an estimate and pick up the check! But the sod seems cheap and is full of weeds. You can see this already needs to be replaced, he will not come to see it and I am out $ 1100!

Had Sod-​X re-​sod my front and part of my back yard two years ago. The owner Rico came out to check my yard on time gave me a free estimate. Pointed out to him that I already received two other estimates and his was the highest of the three (It was only around 5% but I thought I would try to talk him down). He explained to me that he gets his grass from a grower in Miami. Therefore his cost is little higher due to transportation cost. I inquired as to why I should pay the extra for this Miami grass. He told me that they Miami grass was grown in a soil muck, and not grown in sand like other growers in the area. The muck grown sod will be healthier and have a better chance of rooting on my lawn. Basically they were having sod with a layer of topsoil onto my yard. He also told me they will check my sprinkler system and make any minor repairs as needed to make sure my new sod is being watered correctly, this was included with the price. I asked Rico how much money he wanted upfront as the other two estimates required 25% down before they would start. He told me he does not get paid until the work is done, and I am happy. Well, frankly that sold me on Sod-​X, so asked him when he could start. It was installed on time with no issues at all. I would recommend Sod-​x to any and everyone was even considering re-​sodding.
