OUTSTANDING! My wife and I stopped in for lunch after discovering our first choice was closed on Sunday. We were not disappointed and so glad we found Buck Snort Bbq. All items on the reasonably priced buffet were fresh and delicious. The pulled pork was juicy and the ribs have a great outer crust while remaining tender and moist on the inside. My favorite side dish was the cheesy hash browns while my wife liked the red potato salad. To top it off, Jim (the owner) took time to speak with each of his guests. He does a great job smoking his meats and running the restaurant.
This is now our favorite Bbq place in North Texas and we’ll be back soon.

Owner is Very kind and friendly, the buffet is fantastic! I had the all you can eat, my wife had the «one trip» plate and it was plenty, you can tell it’s not «cheap» food, real good, authentic, bbq. While we were there there was 5 different bbq meats, two types of potato salad, regular salad, macaroni salad, regular salad, baked beans, 4 types of dessert, and more! I took it upon myself to try everything and was more than satisfied with the service and food, it’s worth every penny, and it’s a lot of pennies! $ 13.45 for all you can eat, 11.45 for one plate. If your ever craving bbq, a lot of bbq, I would definitely recommend this wonderful little gem.

Also for the extra 2 pounds of beef you threw if, and for preparing it so quickly with little notice. Our hungry volunteers are in for a real treat with your pulled beef sandwiches and potato salad! One of our favorite places to eat BBQ and relax when we’re out in Van Alstyne. The owners name is Bill and he’s a nice gentleman that loves to visit with customers. The food is always good but my favorite is the smoked chicken. I enjoy the atmosphere of a small town and I definitely get that here.

This place is a pretty good bar-​b-​que joint. I was looking at contracting them for our wedding meal; the only issue is that their food isn’t that tasty. Unlimited buffet was great because it was unlimited, but I was not very impressed with the flavor, my family would visit again, but we didn’t think it had great taste for Texas bar-​b-​que.

Right off 75 in Van Alstyne and it’s definitely worth a trip if you’re in the area (and even if you’re not in the area). They serve their food buffet style and it’s one of those rare bbq joints where the meat and the sides are both good. I really enjoyed the ribs and the smoked chicken. The potato salad was excellent as well. The owner is very friendly and you can tell he cares about the quality of his food and the cleanliness of his restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!

Stopped here on our way out to Wintergreen Christmas tree farm today and was pleasantly surprised. The buffet (especially with the Unilocal coupon) was a great deal! The ribs were great, followed by the chicken and sausage! Brisket was moist and didn’t need any sauce (my favorite kind). The sides were all great too… my favorites were the macaroni salad, German potato salad and beans. We chatted with the owner for a while and I was moved by his passion for what he does. A truly great experience and I can’t wait to go back!

If all you get are the chocolate chip cookies, it’s worth the drive to downtown. Rolls are great, too. Ribs are the best thing on the lunch buffet. Nice break from the usual restaurants.

This is a great place, super clean, with fall-​off-​the-​bone tender ribs. We’ve taken friends here a couple of times and they’re always impressed. They’ll even smoke your turkey for you! Drop it off in the afternoon and pick up the next day. Awesome!

Consistently high quality food served with a smile. This place is very clean and well run. Loved the ribs. Chicken was very tasty, though a little dry for my pallet. I’ll definitely return again. I’m not a huge fan of buffets in general, but this place will make you a believer. Great stuff.

It’s just a short trip off of 75 for wonderful BBQ in a super friendly establishment! I’m sort of picky about ribs, but these were fantastic. It’s a buffet with potato salad, cole slaw, and salad, with pickles and several types of meat: ribs, brisket, sausage, chicken, and pulled pork. We went as a family of five, and our kids just loved the old feel of the building along with the kindness of the guy who runs the place. You won’t be sorry if you try it.
Oh, and don’t forget the $ 10 for $ 20 Unilocal deal. Great place!

BBQ is good for the price, the owner is very friendly. The brisket and ribs are good, the pork is a little too salty. Great tools and good dessert, especially the bread pudding. The place is really clean, the owner is careful about keeping everything wiped down.

The BBQ is awesome! Not only are the meats great but the sides are like what mom used to make! Be sure to try the baked potato salad!
