Duramex Cabinets

Allen and Duramex were recommended to us by our friends, who had them do all the custom cabinets in their new large kitchen and were really happy with the work.
We were a little nervous as they came highly recommended by our friends but the Unilocal reviews were/​are scary.
Allen and his cabinet guy did a great job. Totally respectful of our time, showed up when he said he was going to show up and didn’t take 3 weeks to do a day’s job, as we have found often happens with contractors.
The cabinets look great and we’re really happy we pushed through the doubt, given the other reviews. I would definitely recommend them.

These guys did my custom wardrobe cabinets and wow, they are amazing. My mom liked them so much she had hers redone also. Price was beyond reasonable. Ask for Allen, i think he was the owner.

I ordered custom kitchen cabinets from Allen. I was happy at first but once I gave my deposit things changed. It became hard to Communicate with them. I was told that the cabinets where going to be delivered one day but it seemed there was always delays. They would show up some days then not show up other days this was very frustrating because I would take days off of work and have other contractors scheduled to do work around them, but when they didn’t show I would have to reschedule the other contractors. This project has taken 6 months and they are still not done with fixing the problems. I am still waiting on a pair of doors and the cabinets need touch up and alignment

After leaving a review on Unilocal and the BBB I was contacted by the receptionist at Duramex who said they could have a check ready with my deposit and an additional $ 250.00 in a couple of days. I’m giving them 2 stars cause I think they kind of tried to make up for the fact that they were very poor at communication and that they basically were not able to keep their word in accord to the written and/​or verbal agreements we had. When picking up my check I was told they give priority to kitchen jobs. My job was a dining room. Giving priority to other jobs and getting no shows without even a call afterwards to let me know what happened just makes me feel like I was led on to believe that they were actually trying to complete my job, when in reality, they weren’t. I’m glad no one brought it up during Thanksgiving dinner. I was not very thankful for this company’s lack of professionalism.
