Super friendly, helpful and fast. I brought my bike in because the brake lever was broken. My friend and I spent I bunch of time trying to fix it. I brought it in to Retro Express, and they fixed it up super quick. I’ll go back.

Went to check out this place if it’s still the same when it was just a shop on the sidewalk… It was a mistake. If you know about shopping for good prices, ask for the price for the most common part that you change in a bike. Which would be the inner tubes for your tire. This shop is over priced! The same Chinese brand in another shop priced at $ 3.00 they charged for $ 6.50.

It was a really hot Saturday but I biked over to this location anyway because I needed to get my mountain bike fixed. The front tire was misaligned and kept hitting the brake and for some reason, my bike wouldn’t shift into third gear. The chain kept stopping on the second gear track and it was really annoying. Guess that’s what happens when you get your bike purchased and assembled over at wal-mart. never again. gg. Anyway, Nestor was working and he happily took my bike and said to come back in an hour and he’d have it ready for me. Came back an hour later and my bike was ready! He actually said if I came back 30 mins earlier that my bike was already done. oops. Guess I should’ve left my number. My bike was brought back to life! Glad I brought it over here to get fixed. Will probably bring it in for a full tune-up some other weekend. Oh, by the way, they’re no longer located at the old newsstand looking area. They moved across the street into an actual storefront. It’s not a huge space, but the way they have the store organized enables them to utilize the space pretty well. There’s a pretty good collection of bikes and accessories in there so feel free to check them out.

These guys are the best around! Quick, helpful, affordable. Everything you want a neighborhood bike shop to be. And they’re always nice! Great bike repair!

I bought a need-to-assemble bike for my young son and am humiliated to say that despite staring at the instructions for an hour, I couldn’t figure out how to put it together. I checked Unilocal and found these guys. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and within two hours had assembled the bike for $ 20.00. Just can’t beat that. It’s clear that these guys love what they do and are here to serve people — they’re one of those companies you feel really good about patronizing.

I just got my bike fixed here with a very reasonable price. I’m all impressed with the service and the owner, Nestor’s friendliness. The best bike shop in the area.

I wanted to stop in and write a quick review. I hadn’t been bike riding for years and recently purchased bicycles for my two boys and the rest of the family as well. I was looking for a bicycle shop and decided to try this one out since I had seen it from time to time while driving in the area and saw that they are open later than a lot of other shops in the area. I must say the service is great no matter who you helps you, all are very down to earth and willing to help. Prices are very reasonable. This place has it all, phenomenal service, low prices and open late. If your looking for a bicycle shop, whether for repairs, accessories or just some advice, this is your spot!

Small shop but nice guys who work there. It’s really close to where I live so it’s convenient with friendly service.

Melvin saved me from myself! I went in with a Walmart bike that was too big for me and no clue what I needed. He sold me a great used bike that’s exactly my size. He installed a new seat for me and explained how the gears work. He even watched me ride to make sure I was doing it correctly and the seat height was appropriate. Not to mention he held my purse like a boss while he watched my test ride! I’m a customer for life!

1,000 stars for MELVIN. I came in this shop with two flat tires, bent rims, bad brakes, the most rusted chain you can imagine. I walked in and met with Melvin, who was completely professional. Went above and beyond what I asked and installed all parts I purchased(which were at a good price). There is another guy who works there that I really do NOT like ORCAREFOR. at all. I am so glad, I came at the right time to meet MELVIN. I don’t even know the other guys name, but he is not professional and is all over the place, he might be the owner. This post is basically about MELVIN, because with out him there, I would not go. I trust my money and bike here, he is honest and professional … Going back next month to purchase & finalize some other things on my bike. I might even bring another bike I have(a cruiser) to get repaired. But I will only work with MELVIN

Went to buy a bike for a first time. The worker was very kind and knowledgable about the bike and was willing to teach me all the basics to the gears and such. As a bonus, he even gave me a free bottle holder and that things that helps keep a bike standing. Overall, really great service that motivated me to bike even more

This place is legit. I’m not a pro when it comes to bikes or anything, yet these guys treated me pretty well. When I called on the phone, they sounded kind of awkward and rushed. I asked if I could make an appointment and got a weird first come, first served answer. Okay. Couldn’t even tell me what it was like there at the moment. Because of the good reviews and how close it is to my apartment, I was really wanting them to be my default shop. I put my faith in them despite the call and was in good hands. I was in and out within maybe 20 minutes and paid less than $ 20 for my minor fix. My rear valve had broken. The shop is pretty small, so it’s awkward waiting for them to fix your bike… and parking is probably a nightmare if you don’t go during off hours. All the same– worth it.

I love RX Bicycles! My bikes been in the sun for 2 years, I took it to Melvin and he told me, step by step how to strip it, sand it and paint it. I brought it back painted and he put my mess back together again. It’s beautiful, Thanks Melvin and Retro Express, yous the bomb!

Nestor, Melvin, and every employee here is down to earth and run an honest business of helping out their fellow biker patrons. Been here 3 times and each time I was helped immediately, given the best deals, and always leave feeling a strong appreciation for honest businesses such as this one. The employees are here to HELP. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I will never go to another bike shop again!

This place is awesome! I came to this place to get my flat tire changed, and it was finished in no time. Everyone was so nice. I didn’t know that they moved across the street from the old newsstand they had, and luckily before I took my bike out of my car, a guy approached me right away and informed me. The price was also better than the other places I called for. I came here because the location was so close to my house! But my number one reason was because of all the great reviews I’ve read. Definitely a good place to go!

So after collecting dust in our garage, we brought out my bicycle in hopes of a good cleaning and making it functional again… the wheels were pretty rusted… so the guy who accepted the bag said that«we’ll definitely try to clean it.» So, a week later my husband returned WITH the appropriate receipt to pick up the bike which they had no idea where it was. They kept him waiting for at least 20 minutes while they looked for it. When they brought it out, it practically looked the same and the rust looked completely untouched!!! Now we know it’s tedious work to remove rust but not impossible. My husband came home and in a matter of few minutes removed most of it with vinegar and baking soda. We figured since they’re the bike experts it would have been a doable task for them. Overall, we were unhappy with Their services and feel we can’t trust them!!! Will NOT be going back…

Cool ass bike shop. Never seen one quite like it. Sort of like an outdoor magazine stand but with bikes instead of mags. Great service!

This is it, the friendly, neighborhood bike shop. The store is literally outdoors and in the street. The storefront used to be a newsstand, so cyclists, skaters and pedestrians can just roll or walk right up. The people that work here are friendly and approachable. They don’t give you the«too cool for school» vibe like some of the folks you find in bike shops around town. I’ve had two of my bikes tuned up there. The two owners Melvin & Nestor had my bikes back in tip-top shape at an affordable price. You can pay by credit card on their iPad and they e-mail you a receipt. If they’re not too busy and you’re there for something minor, they can do it while you wait.
