Here’s the thing, girlfriend was purchasing her brand new 2016 Miata Grand Touring and to be honest for a girl not interested in cars as much as myself who is an enthusiast, its kind of nerve racking for her ESPECIALLY since its her first big purchase after getting into her career.
Hands down Cody was welcoming, informal, and the biggest thing REAL. He was genuine and honest making the car buying experience smooth. You can honestly feel the sharks of the older car sales generation is gone and Cody proves it with his straigt forward approach of «heres where we stand, heres the options» or «hey let me go and see if we can just add those accessories in there for ya no charge». Gf got door scuff plates and all weather mats for free couple hundred dollar value.
The biggest thing to take from this is Cody tries to work with you while you are not pressured. Just when you think the answer might be no he comes back with a yes and that’s always a great feeling. The office are open and clearly visible. There’s no disappearing to the back «speaking to the manager.»
I personally for my next car not interested in a Mazda but the lev of comfort and great service from Cody seriously got me thinking. I’m glad my gf had a great experience here and I honestly did not need to be her moral support here.

I had a minor issue with my car that came up during a family emergency — Cody Prindel made mountains move to get me a loaner car, get my car repaired & somehow made it all happen in record time! He and Bobby worked to make things happen so my family was taken care of. A great bunch of people! Thank you!!!

The sales manager is a thief. He lies with every breath he takes. I have a very high credit score and he insisted on providing references after the papers were processed. He lied about everything and when I found out it was to late. Stay far away from these douschbags!

Hard to give them a good rating when the service department won’t even answer their phones. How can I get them to service my vehicle if I can’t get a hold of anyone? This has happened on more than one occasion, so this not a review based on a one-​off experience. 1 star.

Just spent the evening with a nice salesman whose hands are tied by disingenuous managers. They listed a vehicle on their website for 15,999. and showed a photo of it sitting there with the factory alloy wheels. I liked it. Called and told them I was on my way. When I got there they said, no, it was 16,800. And it had some goofy looking aftermarket wheels. which they couldn’t replace with the factory wheels because that is the way they took it in. Really? Look at your own website boys! And by the way we added a safety feature which all of our customers want – a flashing brake light. That is included with the price, right NO it’s extra. Well it can’t be much since they sell these things on Amazon for 25 bucks. Actually it’s 300 Dollars. I thought the dark ages of car sales were over. Not at Alan Webb Mazda!

Nice kid spent two hours with us. We found the car we wanted until we learned the sticker price was not actually representative of the car we drove. As the kid was trying to explain his way out of this bait and switch, another sales rep who was working with another family popped his head over the partition and explained first it was our bad for not reading the fine print on an Internet ad they posted earlier and then started to trash our sales person. Yes, our sales rep was young and could learn a lesson or two, but to have a colleague trash him in front of other guests is tacky. We thanked the kid for his time, explained why we questioned the dealer’s tactics and said we couldn’t buy today on principle. As we were leaving another sales rep approached us and said he knows our sales guy couldn’t do his job and he would help us. All the negative stereotypes about car sales were present at Alan Webb the day we visited. I hope our inexperienced sales guy hangs in there. He has a lot to learn but I hope it’s not with Alan Webb. We ended up buying a car later that day at another Mazda dealership and had a wonderful experience.

I have been trying to find a new car that I want to own for about six months. I’ve been into Webb Mazda with no success. I’ve been thinking of trying again, but just got thru reading all the reviews and have decided it isn’t worth the stress and frustration to even try dealing with these guys. They should read the reviews and attempt to rectify the customers concerns.
It would be illuminating to see comments from clients who have been contacted in an attempt to restore their standing.
At this point I’m not a potential customer.

My 2010 Mazda CX-​7 was serviced and upon its return had a damaged tire pressure sensor. When I called to discuss I spoke to Dave who stated «that’s not something we touched». It was interesting that he knew this after being on the phone with me half a second and not even looking up what work was done. In the past two years I have provided this shop with almost 15k worth of work and they couldn’t even give me the courtesy of 5 minutes on the phone, let alone actually take a look and see if it was their mistake. I have repair receipts for the exact tire that had the damaged sensor. But again, it’s not something they would have touched. When I brought the tire to Les Schwab they gave me a regular valve stem and fixed it for free, saying it was evident someone over tightened it and broke it. That’s right, Les Schwab FIXED Alan Webb Mazdas mistake for free. Thank you Les Schwab for reminding me that there are actually decent people in the auto industry. Alan Webb Mazda, here’s yet another bad review. I will never return and I will urge others to stay away… I would also recommend that anybody having issues with this company file with the Better Business Bureau, as I am, so we can put a stop to this.

Bought a new Mazda CX-​5 from Ethan he was very attentive every step of the way. Love love love my new car thanks for everything.

–1 for the lies that I caught them in (recall wasn’t done on the cpo car when they said it had already been taken care of, «vin etching is required on all cars we sell…»)
–2 Ethan was the typical bulldog sales person, that alone could have been forgiven, however he was also arrogant, rude and condescending. Icing on the cake was when I got the line «that was the deal yesterday, today its more money». It really made me mad, and I could get into the personal name calling but I just feel bad for him. He would probably be more successful if he had the ability to respect his guests like someone of importance.
+1 for the service department.
Overall, it was the car I wanted, so I bought it. If I was on the fence about the car Ethan would have killed the deal. I would give them a chance if you are looking for a car. Avoid Ethan.

This was a fantastic experience. Bobby was our salesperson, and was so easy to work with and very knowledgeable. He didn’t try to push us into something we didn’t want, and he listened to what we said. The whole process was very smooth, and the car we purchased for our daughter was impeccably clean and detailed (it was used), and they gave us a more than reasonable price. After visiting their nearby competitor the same morning and having an incredibly frustrating experience, we were so very pleased with the contrast in service at Alan Webb Mazda. We would come here again in a heartbeat.

Went there to test drive a 2016 Mazda 3.
1. The sales kid (Ethan) I had initially made the appointment with called me because they apparently did not write down that I had an appointment.
2. The car I test drove had a bad «wobble» to it that Ethan dismissed as «That’s common in new tires».
3. Ethan talked and chatted non stop. He also did NOT know his way around the lot.
4. He kept showing me cars that had extras or were «loaded» but that the price was not included in the sticker price. I repeatedly kept telling him that I want to test drive a car that matches it’s sticker price AS IS, but he either just didn’t understand or thought he could push me into spending out of my STATED budget.
The capper: He refused to give me a trade-​in estimate on my car unless I bought a car from them FIRST. SERIOUSLY!!!
After bantering back and forth this this kid, I finally had to say good day and walk away.
Not impressed whatsoever.

Please be advised before purchasing a vehicle from this dealership — as their practices are deceptive. After signing a sales contract, I was asked to take time out of my busy work week to go back in and sign a NEW contract because they finance department had made a mistake by promising a payment deferral. The new agreement stated Alan Webb Mazda would make the first payment on my behalf but FAILED to make the first payment! Now, with late fees incurred — credit report takes a hit. Attempted repeated unanswered calls, empty promised to pay and still yet to see payment! Don’t take the risk of dealing with this team — look elsewhere.

You know how a lot of car dealership reviews sound like bullshit? Yeah, me too.

Tre, the Internet sales guy, is actually a friendly, real human being. He’s still a salesman, so I’m sure he’s looking to make the most profit (obviously), but he’s good with people and doesn’t exude that sleezy greased hair shitty tie car salesman vibe.
(I can’t say the same for the finance guy.)
Anyway, he’s nice, he genuinely wants you to be happy with your decision, and he isn’t an asshole.
Looking for a new car is a pretty miserable experience. (I can’t begin to tell you how many spam calls and emails I’ve been getting from Dick Hannah. Dude. It’s not going to happen. Get over it.) If you’re looking for a new Mazda, this is where it’s at.

Let’s face it — buying a car is never a fun task. More pleasant than a root canal, I suppose, but there are plenty of other ways I’d rather spend 3 hours. Fortunately, the purchasing experience at Alan Webb Mazda was pretty straightforward, and I drove away the happy owner of a brand new 2015 Mazda 3 Touring HB.
Excellent online reviews pointed me to Mazda, and I knew exactly which model I wanted, right down to the color. I found my car after a quick search, and proceeded to deal with Gabriel, internet sales manager, via email for a few days. He dropped the price $ 3K from the online quote, which I already felt was a fair deal. All that was left was a test drive and negotiating for a trade-​in.
As it turns out, because my inquiry came at the very end of the month, Gabriel let me know he could not guarantee his quote would still be honored on April 1^st, the soonest I was able to come in. And of course, it wasn’t, thanks to «dealer incentives» and all. But in fairness they worked with me to come really close, the price was still very fair (and below invoice), and I could have made a better effort to come in a day earlier. When I arrived, «my» car was parked right in front, and Gabriel went over the bells and whistles before my wife and I took it for a test drive. He let us have our way with the car — so to speak — and was never pushy when it came time to negotiate. The initial offer was not up to my satisfaction mainly because they wanted to give me half of what I expected for my trade-​in, but I had done my research beforehand and knew the Kelley Blue Book value. They ended up giving me what I wanted for the old car, and dropped their initial quoted price on the new one, so I signed on the dotted line. Once they had me, they did try to start selling me add-​ons — flashing center-​mounted rear brake light, anybody? — but I stuck to my guns and politely declined the extras. The whole process took three hours from start to finish, and even though my wife was a cosigner and we had to come back later to finish the paperwork, they handed me the keys anyway and let me drive away for a few hours.
All in all, it was a pretty good experience. You have to expect some sort of hard sell from a car dealer, but it was never personal, and everybody was friendly enough. They respected my «no means no» and did not pressure me further. I would recommend Alan Webb Mazda, and Gabriel specifically, to anybody looking to buy a new car. Just remember, knowledge is power so be sure to come prepared! (And preferably don’t wait until the first of the month if you’re focused on getting the absolute best price possible).

I truthfully am not one to usually write a review, but I think these guys deserve one. Take note too, that I have owned 32 vehicles in 11 years, so I have had plenty of experiences with dealerships. I apologize for the long winded review.
My first few experiences were exclusively with the service department. I had bought an RX8 and wanted it to be checked out from top to bottom. They walked me through it showing me everything about the car and the service guy was clearly an enthusiast. We talked at length about specific tips to maintain the unique rotary engine. Every interaction with the service department has been fast (a thing that is VERY rare among dealership service shops) and they are easy to work with.
Now the sales process. My job had changed and it was time to get rid of my RX8 and get something with better gas mileage. So I began my discussion here while servicing the RX8, I was interested in the price and mileage of the 3, but ultimately it left me desiring a little more. The sales person said «hey I think you should check out the 6» I did and I fell in love with the car but did not want to make my decision till I saw all my other options. Here is where most dealerships get annoying, but instead the sales person said «absolutely, it’s a good idea to look at all your options. Here is my card and call me if you decide to move forward with the 6, and I’d love to know if you find something better.» Well I didn’t find anything better and I ended up leasing the 6, which was recommend by the dealership based on how often I change vehicles.
Only one year later, my job once again changed and my financial position was strenuous. So I approached the subject of selling the car back to them, and I could not have been happier about how they handled it. The same sales person helped me and in less then an hour I was out of my lease. They gave me an amount I still kind of feel bad for accepting, and just said «remember us when you are looking in the future.»
Last part of my long review. Today my wife and I went shopping for a new car specifically for her. She liked the CX5 and we worked with a different sales person to iron out the numbers. The process was once again easy, no excessive back and forth tactics or sales manager coming out to «close the deal». In the end, they gave my wife a choice of sparkly new key chains and had her take pictures pulling off the plastic of her new car, which was surprisingly exciting for her as this was her first brand new car.

I had a good experience with this dealership today. David (the service coordinator) was friendly and easy to deal with. He helped me with a free rental car so that I didn’t have to wait around with a 3 year old all day and my car was ready when promised. The quote was a little high but it always is at a dealer so I was prepared for that. All in all, I would certainly not hesitate to do business with Alan Webb Mazda again in the future.

I had done all my research and test driven the Mazda 6 – I just needed a dealership that would give me the price I wanted. I was in touch with the various local dealers and had basically put my offer out there. The first one to take it, I’d buy that day.
I have to say, Madison Williams in Internet Sales was so responsive and eager to get me the deal I wanted. I told her I didn’t want to drive all the way to Vancouver only to find out they wouldn’t honor the deal we agreed to by email. I sent photos and details of of my trade in and she worked with her sales manager to determine if they could accommodate my deal. She said they could. I drove to Vancouver, and though there was some push back once they examined my trade-​in, they ultimately honored the deal.
I drove away with a gorgeous 2015 Mazda 6 Touring. I am in love with it! I think Maddie was as excited as I was. I appreciated her enthusiasm and excitement for me. Because Vancouver is a bit of a drive for Oregonians, I think the Alan Webb dealership is more willing to negotiate than the Portland-​area dealers. You don’t pay sales tax if you can prove you’re an Oregon resident, so when you’re ready to buy, ask for Maddie.

What a horrific experience.
Well, that’s not completely accurate. My first sales guy Peter was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, when I returned the following day to sign papers, he wasn’t available. I was handed off to a 20 year old kid who could barely answer my questions, let alone handle a sale on his own.
They had hand off tactics, sharky sales talks, and just bad practice in general. After given a ridiculous price on a car, I expressed that in no way was I going to pay sticker price. He asked for my counter, which was $ 3500 below MSRP. Not unreasonable in my opinion. He returns 25 minutes later saying he can’t come close. I tell him thanks but no thanks, and walk for the door. No harm no foul at this point.
Another kid who couldn’t be older than 22 literally CHASES me to the door with the quote page. He starts in on how I’m insane for asking them to come down that low. To be fair, when I offered that price, I hadn’t yet seen the invoice. Kid #2 tells me I’m stupid and ridiculous for even thinking they’d do that for me. He then insults me further by offering me less for my vehicle in an I’m-smarter-than-you-but-I’m-a-tiny-man-with-a-complex kind of attitude. This was the wrong way to talk to me… it then resulted in me shouting at him for being unprofessional, rude, and downright insulting. Little brat. Is that really the way you treat someone who is trying to spend $ 25,000 in your store? Methinks not. Mind you, this shouting match happened in the showroom as they were trying to lock down at least 2 other sales. The low-​road person in me really hopes they lost out on those deals as a result of his idiocy.
I bought a Ford after that. ;o)

I bought from them. I’d do it again. And I’d even recommend them.
Sure, they’re trying to get a good deal, but so am I. And when it comes to saving money and doing research, I’m pretty damn good. So I didn’t step onto the lot until the price was pre-​negotiated (5k under invoice because MSRP is a joke and manufactured lie). After that, the process was pretty easy. Not hunky dory, but not bad either. Oh, and Brad, he gives the best test drives ever — «OK, now go ahead and gun it, then turn as hard as you can to the left». Awesome.
