We had a terrible experience with Clearly Lasik. They said my wife’s eyes were 15⁄20 but after only a year she has blurry vision in her left eye and less than 20⁄20 in her right eye. This is worse off than before. The Dr. at the time says they look perfect after they made a mistake on the day of the surgery and he had to make a correction on the same day. Since we purchased the lifetime care plan for a mere $ 500 we came back to get it corrected. When you go in for an appointment the Dr. does not even address you but they send in a Optometrist, who appears to be high-strung. He said that my wife’s eyes were scarred and seemed like he was trying to discourage her from getting any correction by emphasizing all the negative outcomes that could happen. He seemed more defensive then empathetic. This place is not professional when you cannot even speak to the Dr. who does the actual Lasik surgery for 10 minutes but have to talk to the Optometrist. Everywhere in the office you’ll see testimonials of customers who have 20⁄20 vision after their Lasik surgery. They are probably the fortunate ones, and I’m sure there are outcomes like ours that don’t get mentioned. We’re not complaining because the Lasik didn’t turn out the way we expected but only describing our experience from the beginning to the time we returned to ask for a correction. The treatment we got from the Optometrist was very cold and just not the type of care you would want when your getting eye surgery. We decided against getting the correction even though it is covered since we just don’t feel comfortable enough with their practice to continue with them. After a lot of financial and emotional investment for us it was a disappointment.
