The life of a Melanoma patient whether clear or not means getting to find a really reputable Dermatologist who can deal with your paranoia every time some dot or spot appears on your skin. Before I was a Melanoma patient I was using Dr. Datloff for my psoriasis issues. It is so hard to Unilocal a Doctor, do you know that? They have no specials to brag about, they don’t serve drinks and there is no little ambiance in those offices. However, like a waiter or bartender your experience can be dependent on how good the Doctor’s mood is(i.e. did they get laid last night). I want to warn you right off the bat, Dr. Datloff is very good at what he does and like many professionals who achieve proficiency they can come off as cold or short, bad for waiters, good for Doctors. He’s not there to be your friend. The front office people are proficient and nice and the medical assistants have all been very nice. Best of all Dr. Datoff is thorough and leaves nothing to chance. You may not need a dermatologist, I hope you never do, but if you do this guy is pretty good at what he does.

My son was seen for acne and given a prescription for pills and face wash/cream. About a week later, his face seemed to be getting worse, not better. I called Dr. Datloff’s office after my son mentioned that he didn’t want to go to school. I asked if it was too early to tell and if we should give the medicine more time. She said she would check with the doctor, and give me a call back. A few days later, she instructed me to bring my son in to see him. When he went, within 5 minutes he was told that it was«too early» and to reschedule in «about a month or so.» In essence, I wasted my time and money for a pointless visit. The doctor could have told me that over the phone! I asked that they would consider giving us a credit toward our next visit. The nurse said she would call with his response. Instead, I got an automated phone call requesting me to schedule his appointment, again. I’m done. About a month later, I received my refund for the visit. I appreciated that.
