Dizzy Castle

Great place for the kiddos on a rainy day. Definitely a little run down and not as clean as its cross town competitor, however the toddler area here has more to offer. HOWEVER, almost every time we have come here, there are wild older kids terrorizing the toddler area where my 13 month old is supposed to be able to safely play. More than once she’s been pushed, kicked, and knocked down, with me right next to her, when the big kids come tearing through and their parents nowhere to be found. Unless their inattentive teenage front desk person gets off her phone and monitors such issues, we won’t be returning.

Probably the last time i will go here. I have a two year old and a 7 month old baby that love this place. The last two times i have taken my children there has been older kids in the «baby/​toddler» play area. The older kids have no parents that were watching them. The rule is 3 years and younger in this area. No one, not even employees pay attention to this rule. My baby the 7 month old is just learning to walk. Everytime i set her down the older kids would come to that area and start rough playing. I put her in the back of a boat for her to play with a stuffed block. I thought this would be a good chance for her to move around without the older kids. The two older boys dived head first into the back of the play boat and smashed her up against a wall. I then got my stuff and took my crying baby home. The mother sat on the couch with her head phones in not caring. I called to complain and explained to the employee that i had to leave because my children could not play because of the older boys in the baby area. She acted like it was not her problem and never offered me a credit to come back. Its not about the money but i believe i should have been offered a chance to come back for free and get what i paid for today. I am not the type of person to ask for that but she should have offered it to me because i only stayed there for 15 min. And paid for me, my kids and my friend and my friends baby to be there. What a waste of a drive and time. This is the second time my kids have been bullyed by older kids in the baby play area. I suggest employees need to pay more attention to the rule of kids being 3 years and younger or you are going to lose more paying customers like me.

Playground:
The playground is pretty good. Up to three levels of jungle gym, with multiple slides, climbing platforms, some nerf-​type ball shooters, a projection floor, foam obstacles etc. The tables can be hard to come by on a day when school is out, so get there early. Kids are supposed to remove their shoes and keep socks on. I highly recommend you keep shoes with your stuff and not leave them in the common area as too many kids are in the shoe area unattended. The 3 and under toddler area is nice, employees only assist that area, when asked though. So be sure to point out any older children that need removed, and they will politely accommodate that.
Food:
They have an extensive menu for a playground. The pizza tastes very similar to freschetta brand pizza. Like you would buy with groceries on your frozen aisle, with a couple fresh toppings thrown on top. It’s good, not spectacular, but not terrible either. The salads are pretty big. They do a decent job with Bagel sandwiches, a barista stand etc. The jalapeño cream cheese stuffed bagels are as yummy as they are in disneyland.
Staff:
Most of the staff is young and nice. They offer Popsicles to crying little ones and will chase down the naked footed bandit. They give out complimentary diapers and wipes if asked, and stickers or tattoos as kids leave.
Overall it’s well organized. I’ve been on a night when they did a dark event and handed every kid a free foam light up stick. Awesome bonus! It’s $ 5-​$ 10 per kid. Cheaper if you buy the punch card, which also gives you a food discount. Always a birthday party going on in the party room. See a lot of voucher discount opportunities from the social media sites too.

The majority of my experience here is actually just for the food from the café. My office is across the street and we often order lunches from here to eat during a meeting or training event. They have a GF menu, with plenty of options in addition to their standard menu fare. The people here have all enjoyed everything they have ever ordered, from the wings to salads, and wraps. The homemade chips are pretty yummy, too.
My oldest daughter (20 now) has taken my nephew here a few times, as well as her little sister. She claims the place is plenty of fun, and she sees employees walking through to verify everyone is playing safely on occasion. She could not think of a single complaint, so I will go with that.
But even if you dont have kids… drop by and get a to-​go order from the café. It really is pretty tasty.

Good on a rainy day. Expensive food, but it’s yummy. Lots of stuff to do. Often times my kids get sick after playing here, but I’m convinced that’s it gives their immune systems a boost… it’s not like the place is so dirty it smells bad, it’s just full of everyone’s gross kids… who are all having a ball!
Teens who run the place, are not terrible, they are just teens, I’m sure they are doing their best.

I recently went with my 15 month old daughter — I was attracted to the idea that they had a big toddler area and they offered a coupon in the Clipper Magazine so I thought it would be fun to try out. I was not impressed with the customer service of the place. I wasn’t greeted when I came in, I was not given a run-​down of the place even after explaining that it was our first time there. I noticed before we went that they feature on their website that they offer free wifi. It seemed like the wifi attracted a rough crowd. Awkward. I do also find it weird that they promote surfing the web instead of engaging/​interacting with and observing their children, but that’s my opinion. Also, no staff was present or walking around when I was there. I only saw one person manning the front desk and one in the food area. I am impressed that they clean/​sanitize everything DAILY, but this is heresay from another mother I engaged in conversation with. Not sure I’ll return due to the bad service, awkward crowd, and it’s also not a convenient location for us. I do have to say I was impressed with the size of their toddler area.

My son is two and absolutely loves coming here!
Have been ⁵⁄₆ times now, all during the week. Under $ 6 for my son to have fun somewhere safe and clean.
Very friendly staff, lots of seating to see your children, and great food in their Cafè!
Definitely recommend to parents of kids 2.5+ looking for sown where safe and cheap for their children to play!

LOVE THIS PLACE! well, my kids do anyway, it’s basically a big indoor kid playground, with slides, etc. The main attraction for the kids is the foam ball cannons which shoot from 1 side to the other, they absolutely love this place. They have a neat little kitchen in it as well, decent expresso’s, pizza, nuggets, that sort of thing, and they’re reasonably priced. I’ve been there probably 15 times with my kids, and we’ve enjoyed every visit.

Been here twice now and had a good time. The play structure is fun, though I think some places have larger ones. They don’t let you bring your own food (unless you have a food allergy) and food is a bit overpriced for what you get. We may be back, but it probably won’t be for a while or until we visit some other play places. However, it’s worth trying out.

The café food is pretty darn good. I am impressed. The staff here is really friendly and helpful too. Each time I visit I seem to like this place more and more.

My 3 year old and I love coming to this place. It’s been our go-​to thing if we’re not sure what to do for the day for the past year. There’s a great little toddler area for under 3’s, and an awesome foam ball battle area with air cannons that’s always fun, even for the parents. Parents can climb with their child for free, which is nice. The place has a pretty extensive menu for kids and adults alike, and there are several party rooms that can be rented out. Their staff is great as well, and if there is a party one of the staff dresses up as Dizzy the Dragon around noon which the kids go crazy for.
The place can get pretty crowded during the weekend, especially during rainy days. So if a bunch of crazy kids is a concern of yours I would call and see if there are any parties.

I love taking my son here. We usually come here during weekdays after work. It’s a great place for an indoor play ground. And yes, I love their Honey bbq wings! They also have a toddler zone.

Spent 6 hrs here today. Restrooms were NEVER attended to. No seat liner all day, later 1 plugged toilet, and one of the 3 was marked out of order all day.
Nice friendly high school staff, always pleasant, taking & serving orders, & cleaning. It would be a great improvement for all, if someone on Staff could patrol around play areas once an hour after school hours when bigger boys arrive & over-​run the play area a little too rough for younger kids. This is not the first visit where I’ve thought Staff was friendly & busy, but older kids get too rowdy and restrooms get exhausted.

We are huge fans of Dizzy Castles. We live in the Clackamas area and we travel over every once-​in-​awhile as my 3 & 6 LOVE to play here. I don’t mind the drive as the place is clean, kid-​friendly, has a thoughtful set-​up and well managed.
The food & beverages are a little high — but it’s nice to have the option if you or your kiddos get hungry, thirsty or both.
The admission prices are higher, too — but the facility is very nice and it’s worth it! We spent 3 hours there today. My kids were both sweaty AND extremely tired from playing when we got done and there isn’t a parent on this planet that doesn’t appreciate THAT!!!

This place is pretty cool. My son absolutely loves it. Asked about doing his birthday party and was ridiculously expensive and got an attitude from young staff when asked what could be done to make it cheaper. Disappointed. But still really fun place for kids

We’ve only been a few times with our 2 year old, but he LOVES it! Now when we ask if he wants to go to Dizzy Castle, he gets super excited. The toddler area is pretty small, but I personally appreciate that, because I can keep a closer eye on him. There’s still plenty of room to play and a cute set of slides which he loves to climb all over! Can’t beat the $ 5 price tag for the little ones, either.
The reviewers saying their kids get sick: that’s a really weird thing to complain about in an indoor playspace. You do know kids get sick when they play with other kids, yeah? I mean kids are kinda gross, let’s be real. My tactic is to never take my son anywhere like this when I think he might be catching a bug (especially if he’s recently been around someone who was sick, like if I had a cold that he somehow didn’t catch), to wash our hands before we go in, and to wash them again on our way out. We’ve only been a few times, but he’s never gotten sick, so it seems to be working!

Loved this place! Dropped in just by accident one frustrated day but my kids (4&12) and I loved it! We did have the play area practically all to ourselves though. I can’t remember the last time I ran around like that. I felt like an American Gladiator shooting balls across the play area. It was so hard to get my son to leave. We’re definitely going back soon!

My grandsons love DC and would ultimately give them 5 stars. HOWEVER since I’m the one rating it I give it one star. EVERY time they play there they end up sick for two weeks.
Dizzy Castle should disinfect their play structures every single day. Or maybe parents shouldn’t take sick children to play in public place. Now there’s an idea.

Awesome! Very clean, sturdy & well designed play structures — great for toddlers/​babies, little kids, big kids and slightly out-​of-​shape parents, too! Amazingly friendly staff, great menu choices (vegan, and gluten free options!), so incredibly fun!
Parents/​Adults are FREE! $ 5 for kids under three, $ 10 for over three (wish there was a small step between the two, but FOR SURE worth the money!) AND — you can come & go all day!
Seems too good to be true, but they also have complimentary diapers/​wipes and — get this — iPads (!!) if your kiddo needs a break from all the activity. They hold your purse for you, too, so you can climb & run & slide with your family without the worry.
This was our first time, and we will DEFINITELY be back!

We were regular customers… UNTIL TODAY.
So it’s my son’s 7^th Birthday and we decided it would be fun for him to have 3 of his friends meet us at Dizzy Castle and celebrate his birthday. We didn’t bother with a cake or anything, the plan was to keep it simple with a small gift exchange and to let the kids run around for a few hours.
Upon our arrival we recognized that the place was busy! There was no parking in the lot so we were forced to park out on the street. We walked inside and I told them we would be paying for 4 kids. One of the 3 women behind the counter looked at my fiancé who was carrying a gift and asked if we had a birthday reservation. I told her no, that we weren’t really having a party, just had a couple of gifts. She then advised me that we COULD NOT EXCHANGE GIFTS unless we paid $ 195 to rent a birthday room. I told her I only had 4 kids and that I was not going to spend nearly Two Hundred bucks for 4 kids to run around for a little while. In an rude and unfriendly manner she informed me that we would not be welcome to bring the gifts inside.
I was astonished! «So you mean to tell me that my son has to open his gifts out on the street in the rain unless I give you $ 195?», I asked. She stuck to her guns and would not allow the gifts inside.
As much as I would have loved to just leave and not give this place another dime, the kids and parents were already there and it would not have been cool to try to get everyone moved somewhere else. We put the gifts back in the car and I paid the regular fee ($ 40+ dollars) to get everyone in. Once inside we noticed that there was NOWHERE to sit! Most of the tables were occupied, and the ones that were empty had not been cleaned and were cluttered with half filled plates and cups. So the kids went to play and the adults were forced to lean up against the wall near the cash register in anticipation of a clean table.
At this time we noticed the young female at the front counter telling the other counter employees about my dissatisfaction with their gift policy. They all turned around at once and glared at me which made it obvious they were speaking negatively. My fiancé even heard them gossiping about me with a rotten attitude.
There were employees standing around the registers doing nothing, but nobody bothered to clean a table or offer anyone a chair. When a bench did open up we were squished against the wall with no room for our legs.
The customer service here was absolutely unacceptable. I understand that management may have imposed ridiculous policies, however the young ladies should not have handled it with such rotten attitudes. If you’re going to have a policy like this it SHOULD BE POSTED!!!
I have NEVER been to an establishment that I am paying to be in that will not allow a child to open a few gifts on his birthday. While inside I informed several other parents of their gift policy. Everyone was astonished!
I will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY AT DIZZY CASTLE and I will continue to spread the word of the awful service and ludicrous gift policy. They lost at least 4 customers today (my group) and several others who I informed expressed their distaste and intent to find another place to take their kids.
