Freckle Face Photography

I am so glad I selected Stacey to capture the birth of our little one (over 3 months ago — sorry I didn’t write this sooner!). We met for coffee to see if we liked each other and go over some questions. I had a good feeling, but wanted to meet with at least one other person (the other person did our newborn shoot, which sadly fell very far short of my expectations) just to be sure as I nearly hired her on the spot. She wasn’t boastful or set any crazy expectations. It felt like you were sitting down with a friend and she was helping out on her favorite thing. She was realistic and patient, easy to communicate with and delivered a great result. She also offered suggestions when I asked, but otherwise was like a fly on the wall as she described. The icing on the cake was when I opened the package from her with the CD of the shots, there was a darling little onesie. If you are considering hiring a birth photographer — at least meet with Stacey, I think you will be glad you did. And even more so if you hire her! We will certainly be reaching out in the future for family photos as well.

Stacey photographed our engagement pictures and did an excellent job! We photographed in downtown Portland and also went to a second location in Vancouver for a little bit of country/​nature shots as well. With the cloudy/​partly sunny conditions in Portland, Stacey was nevertheless able to adjust the aperture and the lighting of our pictures came out beautifully.
I would have liked a little more coaching in terms of where to put my hand, poses to do, etc. I really loved our pictures and the session overall!
