This will be brief. I walked in, received no greeting. I walked around looking at various food items. Went up to the deli to ask a few questions about 2 items that had no prices(Amish Farmer’s Cheese and fillo dough– not sure how to spell that). I also wanted to find out if they carried spaetzle or pierogies. One clerk was working at the coffee counter, but never even acknowledged my presence, other than to switch languages with her one customer. Once she completed the order I thought surely she would initiate a transaction with me. Nope. Just moved stuff around. Okay– maybe my visit was relatively brief, but I was so excited to check this place out! No idea what the food would be like.

This is my favorite place to buy gyros in Vancouver don’t waste your time going anywhere else. The cabbage rolls are out of this world and they even carry my personal favorite yogurt soda yum yum yum!

Awesome fresh hot cabbage rolls. The lady at the counter was sweet and helpful. She offered us the super tasty cabbage rolls and I wish we had gotten more! Yumma. We bought 8 bucks worth of gourmet chocolates. This is worth the drive. I know I will go back to try out the deli, more chocolates and whatever delicacy that they are making next.

THEYUSEFROZENMEAT!!! I ordered 3 gyros and the women behind the counter pulled out a box of frozen lamb meat from the freezer and proceeded to try and cook them on a George Foreman grill! What is that about?! Obviously don’t order anything they«cook». I canceled my order. I can’t speak on everything in the market, as I have not tried anything. I’m used to FRESHCUT off the ROTISSERIE meat, QUALITY. Anoush Deli on fourth plain is where I usually go for gyros and paleminis. I wasn’t on that side of town otherwise I would have gone there for sure. Highly disappointed. Frozen meat?! From a nice classy looking place?! If your going to advertise euros on the storefront you shouldn’t be the McDonald’s of gyros.

When people say«best gyros they have ever tried», it really is the best! And I have tried many different places that have gyros. They don’t skimp on the meat which is a plus. Everything about this little deli shop is «a whole in a wall» great find.

The rich aroma of espresso drew me inside on a gloomy wet morning. The ladies were cheerful, speaking more Greek than English. I ordered a double espresso with a simple pastry and had a seat in their cozy eating area. A few moments later I was served a beautiful, huge, warm pastry, a very large frothy espresso and… Surprise! A bowl of fresh raspberries with chunks of chocolate on top of whipped cream. I have found espresso heaven.
