Don’t buy a Groupon — you’ll never get to use it. They have lane closures that they don’t list online, so they expect you to call first. BS. I expect websites to be up to date, and they can’t even deal with that. When the lady said there was a tournament that morning so we couldn’t bowl we said well that wasn’t on your website and she questioned if we were looking at the right website. We were, and after we left we double-​checked and the closure was definitely not listed. Will likely not return to this place. Lanes seemed nice and place seemed clean, but their customer service sucks. They want more business yet put so many hidden restrictions on using the Groupon you basically have to take a day off work to redeem; unacceptable.

Looking for a place to go later. Not from this part of town. Think I’ll keep looking.

We’ve tried 3 Monkeys, they don’t have karaōke but they are very friendly and awesome food.

My friends and I stop by Hazel Dell Lanes on Friday or Saturday nights to listen to the karaōke singers. Seriously, this place is THE BEST karaōke joint in town! Nearly everyone who gets up there is awesome! The karaōke DJ is friendly and he keeps things moving along nicely.
The quality of the drinks depends on who is bar tending. We’ve had really great cocktails from one bartender, but the other bartender waters her drinks down A LOT. Watch your receipt too, because sometimes they’ll slip in an extra drink or two and hope that you don’t notice. Just order bottled beers instead of mixed drinks and pay attention to how many drinks you’ve ordered vs. how many they try to charge you for.

Had a birthday party for my kid here. This place is wonderful! Well maintained, food is great, prices are excellent, the service was fantastic. They even gave her a bowling pin and had all her friends sign it. Will be back for sure.

Smells like cigarrettes. From way outside the front entrance to all the way through the place. My daughter went to a birthday party here 2 years ago and the part/​daycare room smelled like an ashtray and was very grungy/​dirty. I couldnt wait to leave.

My son had his birthday party here and we had so much fun! The man who helped us was so helpful I believe he was the manager? We went on Sunday morning so it was during their inexpensive special time. My son and his friends are 13 – 14 years old and had a super good time. We brought in his birthday cupcakes and bought our pitchers of pop at the alley. Just remember that cake is ok to bring in but no outside food otherwise. We will definitely be back! Love these lanes, super reasonable, rental shoes are great and the lanes are straight and clean. What else can you ask for? Oh yea some bowling and a drink from the bar. Hey I might even break a 100 .

Great spot. Classic, super friendly, and lots of fun. We used a groupon today and will definitely be back to play at full price. The woman at the front desk is fantastic and we (4 adults, 3 kids) had a great time. Plenty of bowling alley food available too!

This place is way old school. However, everything works and the staff is very accommodating. Especially in the daytime. The barkeeps are great. And the front desk will make things happen.
Yes it’s in Hazel Dell… but it’s still great. Never crowded and really chill. Go here and bowl and eat and drink and laugh. You won’t get ripped off and you won’t regret it.

Visiting the area and found an awesome groupon. Nice alley, clean and updated, good food. The only issue we had was a lot of the bowling balls didn’t have the weight labeled so it took awhile to find the right size. They did have the smaller 6 and 8 for the kids though which was great.

We love going bowling there. The prices are good. They could use a remodel, but over all a fun place to take the family.;)

Checking back to see what new comments have been added since I did my first review and I notice someone using the Unilocal system to take personal shots at individuals, a team and a bowling league. This isn’t the forum for that but knowing the person (s) responsible for the review it’s understandable.
In this case a team was not asked to return due to certain tendencies, activities and behaviors that were found, collectively by the league, to be less than desireable. So, I’ll leave it at that and finish up with an update on Hazel Dells Lanes.
In the last couple of years the Husted’s have been working on repairing equipment, painting, changing monitors over to flat panels and upgrading the image of the center. They’ve made good strides. Rumor has it that they will add more large screen TV’s to show sporting events so people can bowl and still keep track of their favorite team (s).
The food in the kitchen area has gotten a bit pricey for what they offer and the lounge drink costs have risen as well. As to whether the value is there for the cost that’s up to each person to decide. While more expensive than in the past it’s still MUCH lower than Big Al’s and a lot quieter.

The Thursday Commercial League is aweful, especially the team Bro-​Pro and the old ladies that come with them. They just glare at you when you are having fun. If they would get rid of these old fuddy duddies this place would be awesome!

Fine wood approaches which allow for a graceful slide toward your biggest game ever. There’s a lot of fun to be had in the Dell!
