Horrible service by the bartender. I had to ask HER if I could order food twice before she took my order. The place was not busy at all for 4 pm. There were 4 – 5 people at the bar including me. It looked like she might have had two tables of 2 – 3 people each but there was a server on duty also, so I’m confused why it took so long to put my order in. Okay. Now I just sat here for over 10 mins(I put a timer on it) and the bartender walked by me 7 times with an empty beer in front of me. Twice she looked directly at it and didn’t ask if I need another. The 3rd time she walked by me she looked directly at my empty drink and went strait for her cell phone and made a call. The sixth time she walked by me and started talking to a guy that I assume was her boyfriend because she showed him something on her phone and said she’d make him dinner or something later. Finally after giving her the«WTF» look she asked if I needed another beer. In conclusion I’d like to state that this is my 1st check-in and review. I’m from out of state(Ohio) and drove all across the country in the last week and this was the worst bartender of them all. I was hoping for a little better service from a local spot. I won’t be returning ever.

Salads are delicious here but was shocked at a hamburger I ordered one Saturday evening. It was so busy I was unable to flag my waitress back so learned to stay away at night and never order a burger again. If couldn’t have been 1/8″ thick… half the size of a $ 1 McDonald’s burger. Based on just the burger I would never come here again, but the salads are large with fresh ingredients and worth the money.

Great for groups! Pool tables. Booths. Great prices on their Happy Hour menu, which goes until 7 pm. The servers all are really friendly, but they are often very busy. But I’m just not a huge fan of their food. I eat pretty fresh and healthy and a lot of their food is fried or just bland. It’s a good neighborhood spot to grab a drink or some food for your belly if you don’t feel like cooking.

I love this place! The service is phenomenal. The drinks are perfectly made, not watered down and the right Amount of alcohol so you can enjoy the flavor of your cocktail without feeling like you ordered your drink on the rocks. The gals on the floor always greet with a smile no matter how busy it is and never are rushing people to get out of there. Customer service is a high priority. The place is not a dark stinky dive. When you get breakfast, lunch or want to enjoy the afternoon it’s really cool because of the windows that let the natural lighting in. There is a outdoor seating area that is clean with a seperate smoking area so not to bother other patrons enjoying the fresh air. The food is always hot, prompt and never sitting around waiting to be picked up. The have everything from halibut to appetizer. They always have little shindigs happening also. Outdoor BBQs put on by the cooks and other employees, Monday night football bingo with dinner and drink specials, luaus and much more. NASCAR fans this place is a must! Pull tabs and many TVs to enjoy your favorites. Pool tables and so much more. Jakes is more than a bar, it’s place to go with no drama, druggies, or bad attitudes. Keep it up Jakes. You guys are doing it right! Go Hawks

If I could give this place a 0 I would… very bitchy afternoon waitress. Met up with some friends for happy hour, waitress just kept visiting with a customer at bar. I stood behind customer for 5 minutes waiting for her to stop and possibly serve us and finally after I asked her to help us she acted as if I asked her to go walk into traffic. Very short, unfriendly, never again would I waste my time going in there. Sad she would rather catch up with the local drunk on the stool then help 6 people who would have spend over $ 100 and tipped well.

First off, when we entered into the restaurant«area» it was a seat yourself type. We wandered around for abit until the ONE server came and walked past us. My boyfriend had to asked if we seat ourselves. The table cloths are alittle gross but the server was very nice considering she was the only one working a birthday party and 3 other families, plus us. Food took alittle longer the usual places and waiting for refills on our drinks was a pain. The food was good. Not anything amazing but it wasn’t horrible. It was lacking in salt and the clam strips were alittle over done but over all the experience wasn’t horrible. We’ll be back!

Oh so gross! Came here on a recommendation from a friend a while back and was frankly shocked at how terrible it was. First red flag is the place was filthy. Should’ve trusted my instinct and walked away. Second red flag is how huge the menu was. I ordered a sandwich with their vegetable rice soup of the day. It was their thanksgiving-style turkey sandwich with gravy. My dining partner ordered boneless kung pao chicken wings. Food comes out suspiciously fast. My soup was obviously straight from a can and pretty disgusting. Veggies were absolute mush and the consistency of the soup was gloppy. For $ 9 I was expecting the sandwich to actually have a slice of turkey breast on it but it was more like Carl buddig cheap bologni-ish lunch meat on a slice of wonder bread with some instant gravy. My dining partner’s food was obviously those frozen Tyson chicken popper things you get at the grocery store and were still frozen in the middle, had to send them back to be re-microwaved. I only took a couple bites of my sandwich and went home hungry after shelling out $ 30(w/o ordering any beer or alcohol) for dinner. This place needs to go out of business. I’m sure the fact that it’s a bar is the only ting keeping the doors open.

Drove from oregon to try this place… When letting waitress now we had certificate this lady stood up and caused a huge seen cause it wasnt printed, when it clearly said redeem on your cellphone. pretty much yelling at 2 employees and seriously embarrassing us(customers) we wanted to walk out but already ordered food, come to find out she was the OWNER!!! They went ahead and redeemed the certificate, after this seen was caused… the owner was literally standing in the middle of bar yelling at her employees, as everyone was stairing at us :( A few min later a couple walked in with there dog, owner came out with a booster seat and a blanky to snap onto table, then came a bowl of water in which dog drank from on the table people eat at… Needless to say… we will not return and I truly hope the owner reads this so she can understand making customers feel so embarrassed over 15 freaking dollars is unheard of as well as the way she treated her employees… on top of having dogs on the tables has to be against regulations and is just gross and unsanitary for the other customers eating

The good-I love the pool tables, drinks, and pull tabs. I really liked the steak bites I got with blue cheese and onions. I also liked my hot turkey sandwhich and the clam chowder. The Bad-Service was lacking in customer service, I was ordering for my husband and I while he was playing pool with our friend. I ordered the Jake burger for my husband and the hot turkey sandwhich for me, and I was done ordering and she was trying to leave and I had to stop her and say«I am not done ordering yet?» She finally took all of my order and put that in, a while later I saw food in the window and then it sat there for 10 minutes… so I got up and asked a different waitress if that was my food and she was nice a d helpful and found out for me and it was my food then it was delivered to my table… I ate a couple bites of the hot turkey and it wasn’t hot, my mashed potatoes were cool, my steak bites were hot so was the clam chowder but my sandwhich was not hot, I took the sandwich to the front and talked to a different waitress and told her my food was cold and that it had sat in the window for 10 minutes she apologized for the other waitress which she shouldn’t have it was her fault, it was the other waitresses fault for not doing her job. So the waitress I had talked to had my sandwich refired and I got a new hot sandwich and that was awesome!!! I was really happy after that. By the end of our meal our bill came and I got up and went and paid it was the waitress who had my food refired and I gave her a tip and thanked her for refiring my food, and gave her a tip for the cook and asked her to tell him I said thank you for recooking my food, I could not bring myself to give our waitress a tip because of her trying to leave before I was done ordering and for leaving my food in the window for 10 minutes to get cold, her service was deplorable and she needs to learn some customer service so this is why I took two stars away. It is not because of the restaurant, but because of one waitress lacking in customer service.

Yes, it has a huge bar, Yes they play rock music, Yes you can see & hear the bar — who cares? It’s a bar joint! We love it. Large TV to watch the baseball/football game. This is our go to for burgers & fries.

Don’t go if you have kids. We went and they refused to serve us because they had all the tables reserved in the family friendly areas and the manger was rude about it.

Prompt and friendly service. Good prices and delicious food. Lots of tasty sounding dishes in the $ 10 range. This place has a great vibe to it. Jake’s very well could become a favorite of mine. I can’t wait to try more of the menu.

I usually go to the bar here and it always hits the spot. Today I had their yummy French onion soup, which is the best anywhere. That was followed up with pan seared oysters and French fries which was double plus good!

Pool League was last night so visited Jake’s for the first time. Very large place with windows throughout. Bright and Clean. Pretty decent menu of various Burgers, Sandwiches, Salads and Entrees such as Fish and Chips, Fried Scallops, Meatloaf, etc. Everyday has a different soup of the day and Clam Chowder and Chili served daily. I opted for the Chef Salad. Two options, Large or Small. I opted for the Small. It was around $ 7 but plenty filling. Loaded with Ham, Turkey, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Boiled Egg. Comes with choice of Dressing or Salsa and extra is about $.40. I chose the Salsa and Ranch then dumped some of my brother’s Franks Hot Sauce on it and Nom Nom Dinner. Came with two pieces of Garlic Toast. Later in the night I had their Tortilla Soup. Filling enough with Chicken and Squash. The server Angela topped it with Tortilla Strips and Cheese. Probably could have used some lime juice to acid it up, but the flavor was palatable. I did ask for a side of Frank’s and that kicked it up a few notches. Wasn’t the best I’ve had but it was good enough. As for service. Angela — 5 Stars, she was very attentive, constantly stopping by to refill or carry away plates. After she left around 9:30 a new server came on and I ordered a Beer. 30 minutes later, she was no where to be found, so I walked over to the bar and found her asked for another beer and that was the last time I saw her the rest of the night. When I needed another and could not find her I went and asked the bartender and apparently she left for the night. Let me get this straight, my server who was barely attentive, leaves for the night and doesn’t even ask me if I want to close out my check or notify me she’s leaving? POOR! 0STARS for that one.
