I absolutely loved bringing my son here and socializing with other kids and parents. Unfortunately, when I arrived on Wednesday to take him to play, the café was closed with no sign on the door, no toys inside, and their phone was«temporarily disconnected.» So sad :(

Great place for squealies and crawlers. $ 5 for walking children I think there was a membership I still have a crawler so have not paid yet. It’s a good place for social interactions with other non pre-schoolers. There has always been 1 infant there when we’re there. Opens at 9am typically the mornings have more children from what I’ve seen 6 – 12 kids with mid afternoon fading out 3 – 6 children from 2pm on. Have not been there for lunch hour yet so not sure what the kid load is. Generally grab coffee or soda and just follow my 9 month old around. Layout is nice a few people use it as an office space and let their 2 – 4 year olds play while they catch up on emails or just eat a meal in peace… Highly recommended …

Cozy café for folks with young children. Decent selection of food and drinks. My only complaint is while we were there the staff person was spraying Lysol on the doors and tables making it hard to breathe. Recommend using more eco friendly products especially around children.

We visited with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. The place was clean, friendly, and fun for small kids. They were sanitizing toys while we were there, and bringing them back to the play area afterwards. It was clear that effort is put into keeping the place clean and organized. The baby toys looked like they were new. There is enough space that kids can actively play, but it is divided into sections so different activities can take place. The sections are divided by low walls, so parents can see everything. My 3-year-old and baby had a great time. We’ll definitely be back!

Visited Little Cups today and really enjoyed it! My daughter loved the play area, kept her busy! She also loved the toddler size potty and sink(she kept asking to wash her hands, haha). Food was great(I had the Caprese panini), prices were good, and there were plenty of toddler favorites on the menu. There was only one employee but he moved quickly and was friendly. We will be back!

We love it here! It can get crowded but that’s because they’re popular! They run Groupon specials often for their 10 play punch card, making the price to play more affordable. The staff is friendly and the owners are very nice as well. I’m very glad they took over this location(sad to see the BG location close but this was our favorite location anyway.) Follow their Facebook page to find out about story times or other events going on.

3 stars only for the fact that there is a place for kids to play while I chat with my other mom friends. Overall, meh. $ 4 is expensive for the kids to play in my opinion. $ 2 seems more reasonable. Also the food is expensive. I paid $ 6 for a grilled cheese sandwich, milk and the equivalent of 2 baby carrots cut up. It felt crowded with so many chairs and tables and not to mention I had the worst time finding it since the placed their sign under the awning and not above like all the other businesses. Overall, good for a rainy day, but no way if the weather is conducive to playing outside.

Maybe things have improved since little cups and grown ups first opened, but this was my first visit there and I thought it was a nice space! Everything is very clean, organized(as organized as kids toys can be), and staff is friendly. Toys are sectioned off to break things up a bit, but it’s nice that parents have a little room to stand in the middle of it all in case you have multiple kids that like to have you nearby and in sight. There are a lot of toys, but sometimes that’s a good thing… Especially when you need to distract your kid from taking someone else’s toy ;) Like other reviewers have said, there was only one person taking orders, making food, and making coffees… But the wait wasn’t incredibly long by any means. The prices are reasonable and the play price is lower than most other local places like this. I’ll be returning on the next rainy day!

We are pretty happy with Little Cups. Our boys prefer this play location over Steamers and Screamers. The clientele is friendlier and the kids who frequent seem more well behaved. The service is getting better(as I suppose it will over time) from when they first opened. It’s a little slow at the register and waiting for food/beverages. It’s a bit crowded in terms of space to move inside the play area and out in the table area. There are also A LOT of toys, almost overwhelming. With that said, I think my boys enjoy the variety of options. Happy there are plenty of «push» cart and ride on toys. I hope that as time goes on, I can update this review with more stars once the service is a little more polished.

First off, I’d like to say, I’m a big fan of the Little Cups up in Battleground– so this is in no way reflective of the experience you’ll have in Battleground. I visited this location this morning with a few of the moms from our local mom group. Our little guys/gals are walkers now, and love the LC in BG, and S&S as well. So, we thought we’d try out the new LC in the old Sip and Play location. Here are my concerns: 1. Upon walking in, the tables are very bunched together, so walking around them is difficult, let alone with children running about. 2. There only seemed to be one staff on duty. I(like the previous rater) had an issue with leaving my stuff on the tables. It took a while to get even paid for, and we didn’t even get a stamp, so I could have just walked in there for free. The poor girl looked a bit overwhelmed with the need to run the barista counter, check people in and make food. I saw an ad on the Facebook page, so it appears that management is aware of this. I anticipate this easing as soon as a second or third person is hired. The last part of this was there was a gal going around and putting things away. I’m not sure if she worked there(aprons or identifying tags would be good if she did) but she took away things my son was playing with and put them back into the boxes. This seemed odd. 3. The table set up is also wonky, no doubt due to the way the place has to be set up(being in a corner). One area of tables is completely out of sight of the play space. I had to keep my purse with me, as there also was a door on that side… so someone could walk in and take my belongings. 4. The play space itself is very awkward. Because of all the items to play with, there is barely room to walk around. Also, there are wall blocking clear sight from the tables to the children. I was with my child in the play area, but other parents were unable to keep an eye on their children while seated at the bar, or tables. This created some weird situations where I had to tell other people’s children to stop pushing my child or taking the toys he was playing with away. If the walls that are parallel with the play area were removed, this would solve many of these problems. 5. There are play clothes. Now, I’m a big fan of dress up and creative play, but this seems like a MAJOR lice liability. I’d never let my child play with those items. How often are they washed? To keep them from passing lice, they should be washed every time someone uses them. They are also kept in a chest full of the clothes so, they all need to be washed each time. I’m shocked that the Health Department allows this. Icky. 6. SOMUCHSTUFF. I love having lots of options, but there are far too many items in this play area. It’s cramped, everyone is falling over each other to get to things, it’s purely chaos. I found myself getting overwhelmed with the noise, the chaos, and the children running amok who couldn’t or weren’t being watched by their parents. Not only this, but it is apparently that the items were either purchased used, or have been SO used that they are starting to get dinged or broken. My gal friend’s daughter(15 months) was playing with a play phone with tape on it. She got some of the tape in her mouth. If it’s broken enough to have tape on it, it’s broken enough to remove. A clean sweep and removal daily of broken or unsafe toys seems to be in order. 7. Parking can also be an issue. This location is in a parking lot that seems to always be busy. I had to park a ways away, and hauling a toddler, bag, camera and myself in the rain isn’t awesome. Again, this isn’t LC’s fault, but just another reason why this location just isn’t going to work. So, over-all, I’m not returning to this location. I’ve also increased my liking for Steamers and Screamers for their good balance of open/walled off areas and general usage of space and care for their toys. I will continue to support LC by frequenting their BG location though(and they have always been fantastic up there, so do check them out!) Little Cups is better than the new location, don’t write them off, just write THIS location off.

This is the second location for Little Cups & Grownups Play Café; the first location is in Battle Ground. Obviously, they share similarities, such as having the same menu, having the same type of events going on at both locations, etc. That all being said, at the time of this review, this location is still fairly new(its grand opening was this month). My two points as to why I have this as a 4-star review versus a 5-star review: 1) The location. The café is in a corner space, which makes its space a little funky. The area for parents to sit is fairly small… and the play area is set up in sections. This is different than how their other location is set up, where the parents section is fairly open and the baby /toddler play area is actually just one big rectangular space. I prefer the openness of the first location. I took my 15 month old on the second Saturday this location was open. They had a fairly sizable weekend crowd and it was pretty crowded in there, no doubt with it being amplified due to the limitation in space. 2) Limited staff on hand. I have been to this location twice and the Battle Ground location once and on all occasions it appeared to me they only had one person working. That one person had to maintain the café part(i.e. taking orders to make drinks and food). Obviously, with most of the clientele being parents, we’re all pretty trained in keeping one eye on our book /phone /electronic device and another on our child… but I don’t know. I feel like there ought to be more than just one person working, whether it’s just someone that’s keeping an eye out on the play area or someone helping make drink /food orders. It also took about 10 minutes for my drop coffee to be «made», which I get that you have several orders ahead of mine but perhaps with a second staffer on hand you could get orders out in a more timely manner. My wife and I have talked about how great a concept this type of café is. We’re excited to have these two locations within driving distance and I’m hoping that as we continue to go they can work out any kinks that they may have and we can bump this up to a 5-star review.
