Mind Your Manners Dog Training & Daycare

I should of known when we attended the ordination to walk away and never return. We decided to give the puppy classes a try. Connie constantly contricated herself, when explaining even simple things. Everything she taught can be learned on the internet. She could never remember our dog’s name either. She seemed more interested in selling products, then she did training. Puppy classes are important. Listen to your gut when picking a trainer, I wish we have.

I Love Connie and everyone that works here. Connie is so helpful and always willing to talk and answer your questions. She never makes me feel like I am asking a dumb question.
I have been to here twice. Once 10 years ago with my Boxer and most recently September 2015 with my Boston. I think puppy kindergarten is the best thing for my dogs. It teachers them obedience. It also teaches me how to teach them.
My dog loved the open play times as well.

I am so happy that we found such an amazing place for the new addition of our family. I have heard horror stories from folks about the kind of «tricks» trainers use on dogs to get them to do what you want them to do.
Connie and team are all skilled professionals who love animals. They break down the basics for you as a new owner (or an old owner) to understand what your pup is thinking. After 3 classes I already see marked improvements with our 3 month old German Shepherd. It is so rewarding to see him thinking and piecing things together class after class.
A BIG plus is this: They never use any shock collars, force, or negative enforcement on your dog while training. Trust is key for most people, and I love that I can drop pup off for daycare and pick him up totally tired and unharmed. I appreciate the patience that I see in class, and also the love for dogs that we see from each worker.

We use MYM for obedience training and daycare, once a week. We have an ACD who really needs to be active and worn out on a regular basis. MYM mentally & physically wears out our dog, something that isn’t easy to do. They also understand dog behavior and have been a great asset in training our ACD, who was a rescue and came with some behaviors we needed to change.

Connie Skinner teaches your dog to live and work with human parents. She also provides boarding. All the boarding guests get to eat an all natural dog food called Canidae.
