Very nice shop. Very helpful and accommodating. I was looking for alternative loose tobacco for rolling cigarets and was assisted kindly and graciously. PLUS was able to pick up some cigar boxes at a great price for crafting shadow boxes. All in all, a win/win experience. I will be back!

The reviews of the younger guy are accurate, anytime he is working I feel as if IM the inconvenience just for wanting to spend my money. The older gentleman that work there are awesome and extremely helpful and I always enjoy seeing them there. This younger guy is going to run customers away and I’m shocked as to what it takes to get fired from there??? Seriously! I had a friend go there last week and make the exact same statements as all the other reviews about the younger guy working there. He is extremely unhelpful and is annoyed the moment you step into the store, as if you’re the one that isn’t supposed to be there. I really hope the owners realize just how bad of an employee they have and is ruining their business. My friend now refuses to go there because of that one experience and that makes me wonder just how many other customers that, ONE, employee has soured. I’m giving it two stars as the older gentleman who work there make it a positive experience while the ONEDUDE makes it an awful experience. They do have a great selection of tobacco products, and when the younger guy is working I just turn around and leave and go elsewhere.

Not bad. The cigars are fresh and great selection and prices are fair.

Jim is who I like to see when I go there. He’s always super friendly and helpful. The other guy who is getting the bad reviews I can’t say I care for but then again I just grab what I need and it’s just a transaction. My .02

Dave hit the nail in the head here. No service at all. I’ve seen ATM’s with more personality than the guy working here. Paul’s is just down the street from me and my first time going will be my last.

I don’t know much about tobacco prices and pipe smoking but I went into the store with little education and walked out with much better knowledge and about $ 40 out of my pocket to get started, which seems reasonable. The man was very helpful and clearly knew his stuff about pipe smoking. He taught me how to pack a bowl, what tobaccos to stay away from, and which pipes to look. While doing this, a few other customers that seemed like«regulars» came in and out within a few minutes before he returned to me. Overall it was a great experience and I’m excited to get started!

I’m done going in here. The young hat-backwards guy now works more hours and could care less about being helpful. If you smoke a pipe it’s even worse… you are a second class citizen. I went in last week for a few bits and pieces and he could barely take his eyes off his magazine to ring up my purchase. I think I could have walked to the counter and ask to purchase one of their obscenely overpriced Dunhill’s and he STILL would be a complete zero. The whole experience is unpleasant, unhelpful and a waste of my time. I make every effort to support local businesses, but Paul’s has lost me. I will use online merchants like JR Cigars and for tobacco when I can’t get over to Rich’s in Portland. This place just plain makes you feel like you don’t matter.

With cigars in hand, I finally couldn’t take the arrogant attitude of the staff any longer. I set my potential purchase on the counter and went elsewhere. I’ve never smoked cigars before and was interested in getting an education. Well, the staff here did not share my interest. If you didn’t know what you wanted, it seemed they couldn’t help. No one else was in the store and still it was like pulling teeth to get any sort of recommendation or friendly assistance. As a fellow small business owner, it’s our job to educate and excite customers about our products. They did neither. Without new customers, a business dies. The older gentleman may have been able to help, but we were so turned off by the younger guy that we had already decided not to buy here.
