Really appreciate a well run business. Knowledgeable and helpful staff made what can be a trying experience actually fun. And I am excited to get my new glasses

Not sure where these other reviewers went, but I had a wonderful experience. I made an appointment over the phone — the receptionist was a peach. My wife and I went in around 11am and the office was relatively quiet. Very clean and new building, with cool, vintage décor underneath the glasses display cases(monocles and such). We were seen promptly. New patient info was short and sweet, done on an iPad. I did a few tests with a junior technician regarding basic eye health, who was professional and friendly. Then I saw Dr. Chan for my glasses eye exam. They were able to take my old glass and analyze them to get a sort of ‘starting point’. Dr. Chan was funny and friendly. Was out and looking at frames by 11:30am. Total signup at front desk through exam was 30 minutes. Glasses specialist was very helpful. Knew all the frame and lens particulars. Helped me know from the get-go what my insurance will and will not cover. She worked with my wife(wise) to recommend what ended up be the perfect frame(Nike frame with a groovy amber on the sides). Staff was incredibly kind, professional, and funny(lots of smiles) over the phone and in person. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 6(over 20 years) and contacts since 13(almost 15 years). I’ve been to literally dozens of offices, from private practice to Walmart(when not having insurance). This was a very good experience and I recommend them highly. Maybe things have changed since the 2 years or so from these other reviewers, but I just had to jump in here with a more current review. I will update here once my glasses come in and are fitted if there is anything to the contrary to report. **(Medical offices don’t decide what your insurance will cover, and many insurance companies will initially say they will cover X amount at and later change their mind. Somewhat silly to blame your insurance issues on a particular office when your coverage fluctuates.)

I’ve been going to see Dr. Chan since I moved to Vancouver and have never had a bad experience. The folks there are all pretty nice and helpful. They’re a little on the pricey side but I usually just order my contacts from them which hasn’t been too bad. They’re also pretty generous with the samples they give me while I’m deciding or waiting for my order.

Overpriced with a doctor who just didn’t listen to me. I am getting used to this at the optometrists though. They are all apparently getting some sort of kick backs from companies to push certain products. But when my prescription hasn’t changed in years and I know what works, just go with it! They were really expensive but did bend my glasses back into shape. But I will never go back.

Don’t trust them they say they will waive fees etc. and don’t. Went in for contact exam, only had to get eyes checked since I already had contacts and they said they would waive the fitting fee, so they ordered me 3 new boxes of contacts through my insurance, I paid the extra cost and have a receipt saying I owe«$ 0». Now they say it was an error so I owe the fitting fee after all and if I don’t pay they are sending it to collections. They even tried to keep my prescription from me after insurance paid. I gave them an extra star because the doctor was nice to my kids.
