I live in LA and I’m a Soul Cycle addict and it’s been difficult for me to find a spin studio that I like as much as Soul Cycle. I’m in Vancouver for the Holidays and I decided to try Starcycle. Starcycle is one of those studios! It was so much fun, great music, dark in the class so no one sees me sweating and they did a lot of variety on the bike that kept me entertained. The class flew by! And of course it was a great workout!

Being an above knee amputee, it is hard to get a high quality cardio workout. Did StarCycle today for first time and rocked it. I found a fun, action packed cardio workout. Staff was excellent in spending time with me on routine modifications so worked hard but was safe.
A high recommend!

Best spin studio around! Go, now!
2 ex Barre3 instructors started this and I am addicted!!! I go about 2 – 3 times a week and love the results and the overall energy.
The bikes are good quality and not SUPER close together. There are only 22 bikes I think total. Not 50! The room keeps cool and the instructors are amazing and motivation. Eryn’s playlist is the best (if you like gangster rap like me)
You more or less dance on the bike to the beat of the music. You don’t even know you are working out. Best 45 mins ever! Its hard to do anything else that’s an hour now because after this 45 mins you are dripping sweat and feel amazing. And it’s a total body workout, lots of arms and jumps/​tapbacks.
Erica used to work at Nordstrom too so she has a good eye for the Starcycle clothing, all of their clothes are super cute. They even have some cute jewelry for sale.
They do have child care as well which is nice for the moms. They are hiring more instructors and offering more times so it will be even better with more of a variety of instructors and more flexible with class times.
Few cons: no showers and can’t reserve your bike online.
They do have the necessities needed in the bathrooms (hair ties, spray deodorant, etc.) and a changing room.
I have tried all the others in the area and even Soulcycle and this is the best around here and Portland area! You may need to go a few times to get the hang of it and get over the sore bum but it is worth it!
Wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Beware though, its very addicting!

Spin classes are a great workout but they’re generally too boring for me. There’s not enough variation, and I don’t like being static on a bike for that long. It just seems strange– I’d rather be on a bike and moving.
Starcycle is more of a full body workout because it incorporates weights, arms, core, etc. I like that the lights are really low and sometimes off. It really helps you zone out (or in). The workouts are coordinated with the music. Music is essential for me during workouts– I’ve actually walked out of classes before that have had really poor music selection. (I know it’s a jerk move and I’ve only done it a few times, but I swear the music was HORRID!)

Just try one class, and you will be HOOKED! High energy, awesome music, and you’re done in 45 mins. The staff is amazing and friendly from the moment you walk in the door. Thanks to starcycle I am back to working out at 6am and LOVING my workouts. I actually look forward to my 4 – 5 classes a week!!! THANK-​YOU starcycle staff!!!

So happy that Vancouver finally got a studio like this one! 45 minutes blasts by listening to great music and getting an amazing workout. Legs, core and upper body all are worked. I am hooked! Facility is clean and pretty and staff is friendly, helpful and inspiring. Well done!

45 minutes of a pure sweat fest! Music blasting, dark room lit by candles and some of the most awesome chicks in Vancouver motivating you to keep going. I’ve never liked spin classes but this place has me hooked!
