I just moved to Vancouver from Kansas City, and was slightly concerned that my taco needs would not be served — I know, the Portland area is a food mecca, but IDK, wasn’t aware that there was a large hispanic population here so was worried. Worried no more, Super Taco Express is less than a mile from my new place here! We’ve only been here a week and have eaten here twice, I foresee many more good lunches. The people are super nice. The salsas are excellent, I especially like the green, it’s hot and chile-bitter, my favorite, not the sweetish more vinegary tomatillo sort. They have excellent tacos de tripas, not on the menu board for some reason, so glad I asked! Not crispy, they fry them ahead so they are the softer sort, but very good flavor and chewy-tender texture, not too salty and generally just right. I wasn’t too impressed by the pollo taco, the chicken tasted sort of stale. If you order chips and salsa, you get a big bowl of a chopped tomato and onion pico de gallo, not hot, and very refreshing. On both visits they fried my tortilla chips to order!!! Mmm, warm crispy tortilla chips! How could this be better for $ 2.50? Answer: it can’t be. I had a chile relleno burrito on my first visit, it was solid. Came with a smear of good beans in a stretchy fresh flour tortilla. A mild anaheim type chile in an egg batter, perfect breakfast food. So far, Vancouver seems great!

My family loves this place– the best chorizo burrito I’ve ever had and I’m addicted to their taquitos. I could eat their avocado sauce with a spoon. Who am I kidding– I have.

This place is a hole in the wall and looks pretty sketch from the outside, but the tacos are AMAZING! The sauce they give you on the side is GREAT. We ordered the Nachos once and were disappointed, but just stick with the hard and soft tacos and you’ll be satisfied!

OK so great helping size. but milder flavors. If you want a Bargain this is the place to go. But your taste buds might fall asleep. We had super nachos and quesadilla so I give some leeway to the very simple order. Perhaps more traditional fare would deliver better results. Worthy of a stop if you are hungry

Folks, the food here is excellent. The customer service is really good. In my opinion, the taquitos, the AL Pastor Tacos are the best, followed by their carne asada tacos and steak fajita tacos. The other item that is really great is their Chorizo Burrito! So, you ask, Jay, Jay, dude, why the stingy 3 stars? Well folks, here is why(and I would have given 2 and a half I it was available). I wish they used more genuine sauces. Their«guacamole sauce» is absolute crap. There is probably less than 10% avocado in their so called«guacamole», and that is outrageous in an authentic mexican restaurant. The sickly green stuff is a combination of food colors and peas and everything else but avocados. I would rather pay a higher price on their food(which is really cheap) and get 100% guacamole than deal with this green monstrosity of a sauce… Where is the pride, Super Taco? Your food is so freakin great but you sully it with artificial guacamole? Where is the business sense here? Well, folks, I still think their food is excellent… so, instead of ordering it for«here», these days, I have started ordering«to go». I tell them«no sauces, no guacamole, whatsoever» I just get their dishes«to go», and I always have homemade(made from scratch by yours truly) guacamole and hot chili sauce in the fridge… and the combination is to die for, folks… Do yourself a favor. Go to this place. Their items are great. Order to go. Tell them to skip the sauce, and take it home and combine with your own guac… you will not regret it!

PLEASE go to Super Taco Express for the very best tacos you will ever have. Order a lengua taco. Then order what ever you fancy on the menu board. I guarantee you will LOVE the lengua taco the best. Then you will be like me and never order anything else ever again. They gave me a tripa taco to try which was great too. Gosh darn it, it’s ALL good!

Heading S. I5. Turned left and saw the«dive» grocery store next(yuck!) Food was good and fast. Husband had enchilada plate(3.5) I had chicken burrito(3) too many refries. It was hot &fast!(Hence the 4 stars). It needed a bit of salsa. 12 year old behind counter for summer vacation, CUTE! Learning the value of hard work.

Reviewers describing this as a hole in the wall have it right. Has its share of «Hispanic-looking» clientele, which should have made for a better experience. The burritos are adequate and cheap, but I’d prefer mine to include smoky hotness of chili, the coolth of homemade guacamole, and the aromatic sparkle of cilantro — and I didn’t get that here. I tried the quesadilla — bland too — and can’t understand how it earned some 5-star reviews. The salsa and toppings bar is pretty meager — where’s the rojo? Where’s the verde?

Oregon Burrito HIGHLY recomended! Really juicy, fresh, and filling. Quick service and resonably priced.

After driving by many times and hearing many good things, I decided to try a few tacos on my lunch break. So, I went in and tried them out and I was… disappointed. The price was great, but that pricing didn’t make up for the bland flavor. There wasn’t any seasoning, the meat tough as well as being dry despite the avocado salsa. I hate to say it, but Taco Bell had more flavor, if you can imagine that. I’ll hit up Muchas Gracias next time.

Being from Beaverton, I use any excuse I can find to make it up to Vancouver to eat here. I love their al pastor tacos. So tender and delicious. The carne asada tacos are great too. Simple and inexpensive. All the locals are here, so you know the food is worth it. Yum!

It was better than some but not authentic as what you may find on the mexican roadside or local taco joints. Had the chicken tacos and they were meh.

This place is a hidden gem that looks gross on the outside but the food is awesome. My kids don’t care for their quesadillas but the burritos and tacos are perfect!

This what you would call a «hole in the wall» gem of a place. If you want legit and delicious street tacos in north Vancouver then this is it. Al pastor, beef tongue, tripe… it’s all here! The al pastor taco was delicious and the carne asada taco was a close second. I also had the express quesadilla which is a twist of a tasty treat. The pastrami alone was awesome, but who would have thought that pastrami, melty cheese, and avocado sauce in a tortilla would be so good? I’m so glad we stopped by this place. I have a feeling they will be seeing a lot more of us.

It’s true what they say: You really can judge a taco joint by its salsa(or lack thereof). When I first approached, I wasn’t even sure it was open and it looked like the windows were boarded up. But, it was open, and the interior was just like the exterior – small and run-down with odd paintings on the wall. It felt like I was in Mexico, and not in a good way. We were disappointed that there appeared to be no salsa other than a bottle of Tapatio, but we ordered a few tacos. They were up pretty quickly and the guy let us know there were 2 salsas in ketchup bottles in the fridge – a red, which was ok but oddly tangy, and a green that was milder and uninteresting. The tacos themselves were pretty average and appeared a bit smaller than I usually get around here. Overall, the experience was very underwhelming. A dingy place with mediocre food and no salsa is not worth revisiting.

Best tacos in the Couve. I tried lengua and carnitas. They tasted pretty much the same, but they were pretty decent. The place is kind of seedy, like a taco joint should be. They have a few hot sauces, and some peppers, limes, radishes, etc there. One thing I wish they had are hot jalapeños. Maybe it was just the day, but the peppers they had were lame. 6 tacos is plenty for lunch if you’re a big guy. They are generous with the food. The tortillas aren’t made there, but they’re pretty nice and fresh, and they grill them to give them a delightful little crispy finish. I’ll be back for sure.
