Taste of Asia

They deliver to my work which is awesome because I don’t like to leave for lunch and the food has always been good. Especially the house rolls, yummm.
Both of the delivery guys are very sweet and polite as well which is always a plus.

The food is very good, there never any crab legs and the staff is very rude. I like to tip but that isn’t an option today.

Normally, I love Taste of Asia. I’ve been ordering food from them for a while and have never had a harsh word to say about them– until today.
I order two house rolls for delivery and added a note that we’d need egg in lieu of fish, due to some dietary restrictions. For the sake of saving plates, I also noted that the food could all go in one platter.
The delivery man arrives, I pay and I take a look at my order. Two platters and the sushi has imitation crab rather than egg.
So I call and get a woman who identifies herself as the manager. She offered to refund my money and let me return my food. (Something I didn’t realize you could do, as I always thought food couldn’t be re-​sold.) It seemed reasonable enough, as she explained that the cook didn’t understand what I meant by «substitute egg.» Fair enough.
She said she’d send the driver to collect the food and refund my money. Also fair. But I felt bad for the driver and was still unsure about returning food I’d already handled.
She was even sweet enough to offer a credit, if I could just call in my next order and remind her.
I told her it would be okay, but to call off the driver. I would give the food to someone else in my office– as people tend to forget their food from time to time. Surely, someone would love free sushi.
So the manager huffs at me, «Give the food to someone else? Sure, whatever. Happy holidays.» And hangs up.
Bummer that they do have decent food, but I suppose she’s having a rough day. Sorry to have it taken out on me and sorry it was witnessed in the workplace.

The best quality food of the other Chinese restaurants in the area… hands down.
Their ingredients are top quality for a buffet, but order of the menu and you will be very surprised at just how good these folks are.

Now, the quality of Asian buffets is generally not the same as normal menu dining, but at taste of Asia it is. For buffet food this is the most solid Asian Restaurant I’ve ever been to. Yes there is better Chinese food out there, but I haven’t found any better Chinese Buffets!
Like most buffets, on occasion the food might suffer from being out for a while, but in general this is rare for Taste Of Asia. I really like that they have a sushi bar, even though the rolls are small, they are pretty good.
Everything at taste of Asia is solid, but there isn’t really any stand out items. The prices are reasonable and it’s good if you are very hungry or looking for a variety of things to nibble on. I’ve been going here half my life, and I hope to continue going for much longer.

Not my favorite buffet. Go to Makatos.

All in all its not horrible, and surprisingly the sushi might be the best thing. My gripe is the salt content in everything. Specially anything in a red sauce. Waking up in the morning and downing 3 glasses of water is not my cup of tea at 3:00am.

We eat here on average once a month because the food is pretty good for what it is. We particularly like the egg foo young and gravy, which is served on the lunch buffet and available to order during dinner hours. They don’t like to waste their food, so they’ll put whatever is left in a buffet tray on top of the new food they’re putting out, which is a little off-​putting sometimes. However, if you catch the food when it’s been freshly put out, it’s usually quite good.
The low rating comes from the appalling service and attitudes from the servers. We have been coming in less and less frequently just for this reason. We have been getting take-​out primarily for the last couple years just because the service is less than friendly and very slow, such as waiting for an entire meal and eventually giving up waiting for a server to come by for a drink refill.
We get a lot of food to go ($ 30-​$ 40 worth, usually), and without fail we get mocked for it. We like more than half a spoonful of gravy to go with the egg foo young, and EVERY SINGLE TIME I come in I get mocked and made fun of and asked what I need all this gravy for. If I’ve come too late for the lunch buffet and have to order the egg foo young, it’s like pulling teeth trying to get enough gravy out of them and they’ll shriek at me «you want MORE?!» so the whole restaurant can hear.
We came in earlier this week and filled up three boxes of food and a soup container of gravy to go with the large number of egg foo young steaks we boxed up. The lady who rang us up just would not shut up about the amount of gravy we got, and kept asking us what it was for. She started laughing and proclaiming loudly to the restaurant that our food was SOOOOO heavy and how she needs to double bag it, and kept saying how she can’t imagine what we need all this food or gravy for. People were staring and peeking around corners to look while this was going on.
I’m starting to think we should take our money elsewhere, where we won’t get mocked for being paying customers.

The staff was really nice, although their conversations were a bit loud (normal for Chinese people I guess [it’s ok, I’m ethnically Chinese]). The food selection was kind of disappointing for me. As an aspiring vegetarian, I felt like everything was meat, meat and more meat, even though they had a table for salads, it was kind of sad. Although the marinated ginger dressing salad was pretty good, I felt like that was the only thing I liked. Dessert options were few as well. Would I go back? Most likely not.

I love this place! The buffet is awesome. And they deliver what more could you want! Love the sea food selections.

As for the buffet, don’t bother. Came in for a dinner about 7:45 and the food is all room temperature or cold. Tried probably half of the selections. The flavor doesn’t seem bad, but I’m worried about the quality of what I’m eating.
The food is probably better if you order off the menu and get it freshly made. There are other buffets worth going to though.

TOA is like a hamburger with delicious buns but the meat and contents are hardly better than a fast food burger.
The great aspect of TOA is that they deliver where most restaurants would not. The prices are fair and ordering is easy. The food is just average Chinese and not much better than Panda Express. Their stir frys are tasty and fried rice too for $ 1 add on. Most of the American deep fried dishes have been pretty soggy and lacking a good crunch. I think Panda does better in that regard. The gyoza app far from delivered to my minimal expectations.
All in all, if you feel like Chinese and don’t feel like leaving home, this might be your place.

They are amazing! They’re very friendly there. We got the delux combo and egg rolls. They were fantastic! They almost taste like they have coconut on their outer shell. I love the chow mein with pan fried noodles!!! They deliver the food within an hour of ordering it. The food is hot and ready. Bummer that they don’t deliver chopsticks with the meals; but that’s only for fun. I wind up going to the flatware anyway.

Their delivery crew is amazing, so nice and they serve the some of the best Asian good around. I work at a hotel and I always recommend them to my guests. The only reason I cannot give this place 5 stars is because when I went to the actual restaurant to sit down and eat at the buffet, I experienced the worst customer service I had ever received. We came in about 20 minutes to closing (not knowing it closed at 9) and our waiter sat us down, gave us plates and said we had 20 minutes to eat, then every 5 minutes came to our table trying to take plates repeating how much time we had left to eat. She would walk past our table coughing and the staff starred at us waiting here for us to eat. The lady who cashed us out rolled her eyes and was extremely rude. I will never eat at the restaurant again, I will only order delivery.

This is a Buffet American Chinese style Restaurant; I and my wife have eaten here 3 – 4 X per year every year over the past 5 – 6 years and have never left hungry. So decided to bring my recently immigrated from Russia Daughter in Law plus young daughter[5 yrs old] here for some American style Chinese Cuisine. I have always found this Restaurant clean, The food is wholesome and tasty also plenty of it; The folks here are most friendly too and service is good;! And might I mention the price is easy on the pocket-​Book?” We will return again!”

THE GOOD: Taste of Asia has a lot of options and the dishes I’ve tried have all been good, at least from the one near my home. The food shows up hot and fresh when I choose to have it delivered (5 minute drive away) so I have no complaints about the food itself.
THE FRAUD: My boyfriend and I decided to have them deliver to us tonight, we got enough food for just the the two of us and about a half hour later the delivery boy arrives. My boyfriend answers the door gets the food and realizes they had not read the comments from our order so some things were not included and they also did not give the free fortune cookies like they normally do so we did not give a tip. We sit down to eat and my boyfriend mentions that he did not write anything in the tip section nor did he cross it out so after we finished eating I checked my bank account just in case. Low and behold they charged me more than the receipt stated. They charged me $ 42.92 when the receipt with the amount I approved was $ 33.02. Nearly $ 10.00 more than what they said. I know $ 10.00 isn’t a lot of money to most people but to us that could be; clean laundry, gas money, bus money, groceries etc. My boyfriend called them back immediately to figure out why they charged more and they tried to say «we take an extra 15% for online orders.» even if that was true that would still only be $ 4.95. After a brief argument over the phone we decided to go to the restaurant and get a copy of the receipt and talk to them. Long story short they said they’d get us our money back within a couple days and they gave us back the $ 3.00 delivery charge since we had to drive there anyways and they continued to change the story as to why they took more than the amount the receipt said. We contacted the Better Business Bureau about the matter once we got home and we’re going from there. Who knows how many people have been ripped off by them but I hope this saves some of you. I, for one, will not be returning.

My boyfriend and I decided to check this place out after seeing a fellow buffet lover mention it in another review. Long story short, I feel like my $ 8 for the lunch buffet was a deal! We were immediately greeted at the door and seated. They were fairly busy with it being lunchtime, but there was still plenty of room and privacy in the booths. Our server walked by frequently to check on us, and everyone was very friendly. We’ve frequented Canton Chinese Buffet, and longed for some better crab puffs. Taste of Asia more than delivered.
I took the buffet as a means to sample all their dishes, and the only one I didn’t care for was their Pineapple Chicken. Just a mouthful of sweet. I loved the Oriental Chicken Salad, and their teriyaki chicken. He really loved the potstickers and the sweet and sour pork. They had a nice selection of sushi and salad rolls even. The food was well cooked, not greasy and fresh. We saw them bring out new pans of food just about every few minutes. It was really cool how they had a microphone to just tell the kitchen what to cook! It seemed like we didn’t eat very much, but 4 hours later we’re still full! We will definitely be back to this place. Who knows, we might even try the delivery next time?!

I have had many curry dishes, but none compare to Taste of Asia’s curry chicken. And they deliver!

Taste of Asia has some really variety of foods Chinese or Asian speaking foods only though. They have anywhere from sushi is to Mongolian beef or just the traditional Chinese food that everyone likes to eat. There Mongolian beef seems very decent more pleasurable than a panda express. There will dined restaurant that’s actually doing fairly well. They’ve got great sushi is a pretty decent prices you can’t go wrong with sushi. To group place to take somebody on a date if you guys enjoy seafood to some extent or sushi or just Asian food in general. I do recommend us to some extent I wouldn’t say it’s the greatest but it’s not bad to eat there. If you’re in the area check it out for yourself you might like it more than what I did. Not that I didn’t like it but I know of other places greater

Very mixed feelings about this place. The food was mostly decent, although some of the cuts of meat were questionable. The hot and sour soup that they lauded (sign next to it), was not good at all.
If you are going to make a big deal out of something, maybe you should put some effort into it.
The service is TERRIBLE. After being seated, I only saw my server once, I asked for a refill, and… to her credit… she did come back, but not until I had given up and was walking to the cash register to get out of there.
I wanted to like this place, but if it were possible, I would give them 1.5 stars, vs. the 2 that I gave.

Good flavor in most meals. The price is good, although there are other places that have more variety. I usually go there regularly.
Buen sazón en la mayoría de las comidas. El precio esta bien, aunque hay otros lugares que tienen más variedad. Voy a comer ahí con regularidad.
