Small yet mighty(apologies to Jeannie J) is a fine way to describe this place. It’s pretty easy to go right on past the place, as it’s the back of the building that faces the street. It has all the usual amenities one has come to expect from a 21st century library. This is located close to 3 schools. There will be times when it’s noisy, crowded and there is a loooooong wait to get on a computer. Avoid it from 3 to 6PM during the work week and you’ll be fine. I would wish for a larger fiction section. The size of the building limits it’s browsing potential. I have found the inter-library loan system a very handy tool here. Sure do miss browsing, though. I can’t really speak on the children’s area; my ‘baby’ is more than old enough to drive me here. Please check Julia S’s review for kiddo stuff. In it’s way, it’s actually in a pretty good location. There is a shopping center with a Fred Meyer, Starbuck’s, and all the usual chains and whatnot places right across the parking area. Once you find the place, you’ll be fine.

A very nice neighborhood library. Everything is one level so it kinda makes it hard to study if the kiddies are acting up…

The library experience here is rather incredible. This location itself seems somewhat small upon first entering, but after getting my library card I found out they have a circulating inventory between a number of locations. They have a great website that allows you to search for books and place holds on them. You can select a location for the held book to be moved to for pickup as well. Self checkout is a breeze, and you can renew online. Their staff are very helpful and friendly. I have nothing but positive things to say. I am becoming addicted to the library, and I am so happy they have such high quality services!

Update: The Three Creeks location now has a few more neat things for kids to play with… magnets, matching picture activities and a train table! So, when I don’t feel like driving all the way down to the Main Library, this is an okay place to go if I just need to sit on a sofa for a bit and watch my little dude play his heart out with some puppets and read a board book. Also, the people who work there are so helpful. One of them helped me dig through a huge collection of board books to find books that featured textures in the book. Fantastic people!!!

This branch of FVRL is my home away from home. It is large enough while still remaining cozy and inviting for families and students. Free wifi. Automated check in and out of your own books. Plenty of computers and room to sit and read quietly inside the magazine area or out in the courtyard in the summer. The staff are amazing and helpful. Great selection of books, audio, video, magazines and newspapers. Ebooks for my kindle and iPhone make me a true believer.

A nice new library with comfy chairs and desks. The windows let in a lot of light and make for a very nice working environment. The entire library is on one floor, so there aren’t really any quiet areas, but with earbuds and pandora it works well enough. Only downside is the wifi here is a little slow(pages take 1 – 2 seconds to load). However, you can use their wifi without even logging in(or having a card). A nice plus!
