Vata Salon & Spa Aveda

Modern, artistic salon. I had my first appointment at Vata today, and I loved it. Hannah cut and colored my hair, and she did an amazing job. Definitely recommend!

This is the only place that I trust with my hair. I’ve been to other salons and no one does as good of a job as this place. They make my hair look like a million bucks. I’ve had multiple stylists and they all do a great job, mainly because they get the same training. Highly recommend salon Vata!

This was my first visit to Vata Salon, I went for a shellac mani and Rose did a wonderful job! It was a refreshing change from the nail salons that rush through the process. The salon is immaculate and Rose is fabulous!

My sister gave me a gift certificate for an Elements Facial. I arrived at the salon a good ten minutes early. I had to wait 20 minutes for my facial though, and she ended the facial 10 minutes early. My skin did feel like butter though.
At the front desk I realized that I forgot my certificate at home. The wonderful man at the front told me to go home and call with the number for the certificate. So trusting! If course, I did call when I got home.

I have not had hair services here, but I have had a microdermabrasion and a mani-​pedi. I have to say both experiences were wonderful! The staff is friendly and the services are excellent. This so far has been my favorite salon!

Not bad-​not bad at all. For Vancouver this is a pretty nice place to get your hair done without dealing with the traffic of PDX. I wouldn’t say its the best place I have been-​it is a bit overpriced and hard to schedule at times– but if you are in a jam and want a solid haircut/​hairstyle without traveling into Portland I would recommend Vata.

Leigh Ann is amazing!!! I love coming in to see her! She always does exactly what I want!!! I highly recommend this salon!

I got an absolutely beautiful balayage and haircut from Simone! Usually I have a bit of trust issues when it comes to getting an ombré or balayage because I have had some pretty bad ombré experiences, but ever since I started going here, I have always left completely satisfied. I also feel very comfortable knowing the stylists are continuously getting updated, extensive training, so I never feel like I need to show Simone or any other stylists a «new» hair trend such as a balayage. I have gone into salons where I’ve had to show them what an ombré or balayage is, and have never left with what I asked for. At Vata, I always get what I ask for.

I refuse to go anywhere else! I made the mistake of going to Regis when Vata was closed due to their move, and they ruined my hair. I came to Vata when they reopened and they fixed the disaster. I’ve been going here for years now, and usually mix it up with the stylist. Hollie who is also the owner, is excellent but hard to book with (but well worth the wait). Booking with other stylist doesn’t bother me because Hollie personally trains all of them to make sure they are at Aveda standards, and they always exceed my expectations.
They offer other services such as facials, waxing and mani/​pedis. All very amazing quality. Especially Hilary’s famous shellac manicures! If you’re looking for something festive or sparkly, Hilary is your girl.
I am constantly changing my hair, and the stylists are very patient with me and make me feel welcome. So, I highly recommend Vata to everyone!

Vanessa is the best woman that has ever cut my hair! I’ve been to Seattle and all over just looking for someone who will LISTEN!!!

I was just in town and the weather was beautiful and saw the state of my feet — yikes! After going to two salons that were pretty rude about not having time (despite open chairs), I went to this salon and not only did they see me, I received a beautiful pedicure and manicure! The foot massage alone was worth it! Will definitely go here again (and the price was more than reasonable)!

I had an awesome experience here for an eyebrow wax! I am horrible at planning ahead for my brow maintenance and I tend to wake up one day with monster caterpillars on my face!
I just moved to the area and my friend recommended this place after a good experience getting a cut and color. I called and asked if they had a same day and the receptionist was very friendly and squeezed me in right away.
My wax was great. I usually don’t have pain during waxes, but this one I didn’t even know she had started removing hair!
She was super friendly and clearly takes a lot of pride in her work.
I would refer everyone and their mother here!

On my first visit, I was kindly greeted with a welcome gift and shown to the waiting room. It is a funky and modern design that compliments the Aveda culture.
I got along well with my stylist and am happy with the results.
The prices are fair for the area; however, they don’t offer any discounts for multiple services. I’m satisfied with the style and color, but felt it took a little long and I wasn’t blown away.
The salon is clean, creatively decorated, and a nice neighborhood spot! I would recommend it.

Went here for the first time today. Wow. The salon was very clean and chic. Carrie cut my hair and have me a brow wax. She was very professional and friendly. Detail oriented and helpful. My hair looks great and I love my brows. I will definitely return.

I love love love this salon. I used to frequent this salon and would request Vanessa. She is sweet and very talented. I always loved my hair and the cut always lasted for a good 6 – 8 weeks looking fresh. If I could afford to go still I would in a heartbeat. You get what you pay for though. They are a tad spendy but worth it. I will note too that the salon itself is gorgeous. The owner did a really nice job decorating and making it feel very chic.

Love this salon. The atmosphere was beyond great. My stylist was very educated, and funny her suggestions were the best I’ve had in a long time. The cut was a little pricey but worth every penny. I will most defiantly be back thanks aveda!!!

My mom and I had fabulous pedicures by Hilary this weekend. She did a great job and the salon is beautiful and super clean.

I LOVE Hollie ! Thank you for being so gracious, kind, funny, and talented. I’m more then happy with my hair color and overall experience. I would highly recommend this salon.
