My husband and I live in Portland and needed to go to Washington. I spotted this place while crossing the bridge, right on the water. It looked so nice. It was a saturday night and there was a little wait, but we sat in the bar area right away. The food was great. A very nice atmosphere and the view was awesome!

Foode is usually good, quantities are sizeable. Staff is friendly. Restaurant is showing it’s age. Can’t complain, but can’t brag either.

While the food is nothing to write home about, the chips and salsa here are crazy good and fresh. Same goes for the guac. Otherwise, strikes me as ho-hum Mexican food(in the eyes of someone who has moved to Cali) Whenever I’m home for more than a few days, my family is likely to make a trip here — it’s been a family favorite for over 20 years.

Although some of the reviews may not be as encouraging, I have been pretty impressed with Who Song and Larry’s. They have very good wexican food, a great afternoon buffet and huge dinner portions. The location in Vancouver is right on the waterfront and perfect for afternoon dining. The service is excellent, the food is moderately priced for Meixcan food and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. If you are looking for a quiet, romantic place along the waterfront, this is certainly not for you but if you are looking for an energetic and lively restaurant that goes the extra distance for birthdays, this is perfect.

Cold rainy dinner stop for family on the way home from a long road trip. Delicious Mexican fare was the first choice for everyone. The location is fantastic. Dining on the patio during summer with the spectacular view of the Columbia River seems like a great excuse to visit again. But due to weather we were stuck inside where the dining area is outdated and drab. Our server was attentive and helpful. Made us feel at ease right away and saw that we never ran out of anything. The food was meh(average). I ordered the street tacos with a side of corn tortillas. Not very flavorful and the corn tortillas were not very good. The meal price is very high for the quality of the food. Perhaps with margaritas in the summer it’s a great experience. We will try it again the next time we are passing through on a warm sunny day. The service and location are good and I’ll hope for more vibrant food.

Very good meal and very good server, Hayden. I had the Monday night fajita special. The other 2 at our table had the macho combo meals.

Over priced, terrible service and bad plating. The staff seemed bothered just to be there. We won’t be back. The salsa was good and chips were warm. So they have that going for them.

Came here for my brother’s birthday. Other than the place being a little old and run down looking. They have a great view of the columbia river. Food was great. I love the tableside guacamole. They used literally 5 avocados to make my guac right in front of me. Love the big portions and fresh seafood. I highly recommend to bring people from out of town to this restaurant. Its has a great view, great food and affordable. Don’t mind the 70’s vibe mexican décor. :)

We went to a birthday dinner last night for a party of 8 and had a great time. The server was fast and friendly. It had been awhile since I’ve been here and the food was at a whole new level. The portion sizes were huge the entrees delicious. I ordered the table side fajita salad. The server mixed up the sizzling fajita meat into the lettuce right in front of me. I ordered chicken but they accidentally made steak but I was fine with it. The meat was seasoned perfectly. The server didn’t charge us for the meal which was very kind. They sang the birthday boy happy birthday and brought out a free dessert of fried ice cream. We will be back soon for another great experience!

Great place for to sit out on the deck when the weather is nice! I usually get the fajitas combo which is a great deal! They also have a great happy hour with good deals. We went there last night for a birthday. The staff was friendly and sang happy birthday. The food was delivered very quickly!

I came here at least once a year as a child, if not more frequently, because it was my older brother’s favorite. Tonight my husband and I decided to give it a try. Let’s talk positives first. The food is respectable American-style Mexican. I wouldn’t come here for authentic Mexican food. Their chips and salsa are good, and we enjoyed their table side guacamole. I had the Baja Combo; my husband had the Friday special of AYCE mahi-mahj tacos. It came out hot and everything tasted fine. The service is friendly and efficient. On to the«needs improvement», which is really a lot of small things that added up. As the hostess walked us to our table, she frantically asked a bus boy for a wet rag and wiped down our table just before we sat down. While I am glad that it was clean, it also meant it was wet and got out menus wet. Our chips and salsa came quickly, but no napkins. Our guacamole came, and we got napkins, finally. Our entrees came, and my husband had to ask for silverware at this point. I’m not sure why silverware didn’t come automatically. All these little things, by themselves, provably don’t mean much. But it kind of added up to a slightly awkward experience for us. We would probably come back. The view and food are fine. But I think the service could use a little fine-tuning.

First of all, great view! However, the view doesn’t match up to the mediocre food. Usually, Mexican restaurants have decent chips and salsa. But this place has stale, funny tasting chips and salsa that tastes like it came out of a jar. Then for my entrée, I got the create a combo.(2 chicken crispy tacos and beans/rice, with a sweet little corncake.) That tasted fine, but still not enough to write home to mom about. Coming from California, I’m used to killer Mexican so this just didn’t cut it for me.

Server was Noah. Time is 1pm, Monday. I appreciate good service. It’s commendable in today’s society of so many falling short on care. Noah was great! Nate took over for him with equally good service. The environment is super party mode with upbeat pseudo dance music that sounds like it was written in a Miami club in 1995 but we won’t hold it against you… we’ve been here a few times and things are always pretty solid. Good views from of the river and bridge. These cats know what they are doing. Thanks guys. Solid staff, solid service.

The food is average but the outdoor setting on the Columbia River is what makes this place. Service was good and the happy hour cocktails hit the spot. Not a bad place to hit for a late afternoon cocktail and an appetizer.

If you do come here, make sure it’s summer and make sure you sit outside. At some point, someone on a boat will cruise by and ‘moon’ you. Plus one star for helping to promote culture in the Couve.

It was a beautiful day and sitting on the Columbia River with the sun shining definitely is hard to beat. That’s why we decided o visit Who Song and Larry’s on this particular day. It offers Happy Hour and we were there to take advantage of it. However, the best part about this Mexican Restaurant is the location. Happy Hour prices are only offered in the bar area so we chose to sit on the bar deck along with just about every other patron. The appetizers were $ 3 off during this time and since we didn’t order appetizers we might have been better off on the half-empty deck belonging to the restaurant. The food was good but pretty expensive for Mexican food. As I said, the location was the best part of the visit. Well, the service was awesome. However, if I just wanted good Mexican food at a reasonable price, this probably wouldn’t be where I’d chose to visit.

It wasn’t the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had, but it was pretty far down on the totem pole. I got a ‘Special Burrito’ with chicken. It was tasteless and later gave me horrid indigestion. My aunt ordered the same thing and she didn’t even finish it. The waiter was nice. I got full on the chips, rice and beans, and a few root beers. The inside of the restaurant was almost empty; most people were eating outdoors but we had a large group so that was not feasible for this visit. I don’t think we’ll be going back. My dad made the comment, when we walked in, that the front entrance smelled like a restroom. I agreed with him!

We came to try the lunch buffet and it was good and affordable. Just 9.99 for all you can eat enchiladas/tacos w/salad, rice beans, soup and extras. It was tasty.

Extra Star for the location, or maybe half a star. Large venue with plenty of room for groups or many diners. Very nice deck overlooking the columbia and the hiking/running trail, average Americanized Mexican food, lots of drink choices, lunch Buffet and friendly wait staff. Fun place for a party and cheap Margaritas when the bridge is raised.

Only 2.5 stars for this place?! I’m shocked. Though I’ve only been here once, Who Song & Larry’s left a lasting impression on me as a great place for delicious Mexican food. Although I was a little apprehensive at first due to the price of the food, I was very pleased with the portion size and full-flavored food. Definitely worth it. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and I would place it in the top 3 best burritos I’ve ever had! The steak had great flavor and wasn’t chewy or overcooked, the refried rice and beans were delicious, and the sweet corn patties(not sure what they’re called?) that it came with were absolutely delicious. The salsa here is also delicious! I always feel somewhat guilty asking for refills, but our server was very pleasant and didn’t seem to mind at all. If I ever find myself back in Vancouver, I’ll definitely be sure to stop by!
