Last two times I tried to get served no one who come to the counter or window. Plenty of workers just need one who cares. The first time I thought was a fluke but twice is enough for me.

This is my go to lunch spot at work! Incredibly friendly staff. Great food! All of my employees are hooked on the peanut butter shakes from here.

They opened in February 1964, and not a whole lot has changed since then. They have been pumping out good inexpensive grub for a long long time, and they are a legend in these parts. I always stop in when back in town. :)

I grew up not too far from here and pretty much every small town had some sort of Dairy Queen type bar. Many were originally DQs but refused to make the changes and branched off on their own. Others like this one, were always their own little brand. The one in my hometown was tiny, and only open in the summer. I still go there specifically for a chocolate malt any time I’m in town and they’re open. This place happens to be just down the street from where I live, and I’m always searching for something that tastes like that specific chocolate malt I crave. I have never found it… until now. It’s not perfectly consistent, but most of the time it’s close enough that I don’t have to drive«home» to get what I want. Big bonuses about the Airline Dairy Crème: They have indoor seating and don’t close down for the winter/fall season. It’s very clean and well lit. They take credit/debit cards now. Food wise it’s pretty standard dairy bar/stand fare. French fries, onion rings, hot dogs and square hamburgers with american cheese. Good chilli dogs. Excellent pork tenderloin sandwiches. Everything is dirt cheap, like I can over eat significantly and not even break $ 10. It can be rather busy in the summer, so don’t be surprised to find whole baseball teams after games lined up for ice cream sundaes and hot dogs. The staff is friendly, young, and quick to churn things out if there’s a line. I highly recommend a stop here even if it isn’t for nostalgic reasons. If you’ve never had this kind of food in a small Midwestern town on a hot summer night you might not understand why people call this kind of place«home».

Also known as Fat Rat’s we crave the foot long coneys, onion rings and shakes from here. Tastes just like it did 10+ years ago. Also the veggie soup, soft pretzels, and malts with extra malt are good.

Delish soft serve! They only have 2 flavors(vanilla and chocolate) and 1 flavor of the day. When we visited it was cream de mint, which was mighty tasty. There is indoor seating with an indoor counter and and walk-up outside window. I wish they would have a few outdoor benches or seats as well but you can always sit in your car and devour your cone there! The staff was friendly and super patient as we all placed our orders and went up for spoons, napkins, cups, water, etc. Highly recommend making a pit stop if you’re in the area and needing a treat!

I love this place! The food is great and it’s still family owned and operated– great personal service.

We love their ice cream! We love that it tastes richer and creamier than the other chain store in town, and costs much less, plus get the added benefit of supporting a local business. Consistently good food at a really good price.

I was with a friend test driving cars this morning and as we drove car #3, we decided it was time for lunch. We passed by here and circled back; hot dogs, fries and a Pepsi really hit the spot! It’s been quite some time since I have had a chili cheese dog and this one was really good. Fast and friendly service made it that much better… wish I would have had room for ice cream!

Minced onion rings. Chili-cheese dogs. Krinkle fries. Soft pretzels with cheese. Soft serve with sprinkles. Yes, Airline Dairy Crème… my heart belongs to you. You just never change, and I love it. I was probably 7 years old the first time we met, and at 31 I know I’ll still see the same hard plastic orange booths and handwritten signage I remember. If I could sign your yearbook, I’d write: Always Stay Sweet xox Brittany ‘98 If there has been a kids’ sports event within about 5 miles, and it just ended, this place is going to be packed. Prices are very affordable… a family of 4 can get their ice cream fix for around $ 10 or less(depends on how extravagant your kids’ tastes are… cone vs. sundae makes a difference). Friendly counter service, and you can see whatever you ordered being made right behind the counter. No mystery here.
