Oscar’s Bar & Grill

Great little bar, with some really good food & great customer service.
Come in on the weekends for some live entertainment.

Stopped in last Saturday afternoon, our 2^nd visit. An old headbanger was feeding the jukebox and it was playing pretty loudly but tolerable. Then the manager turned it UP because he liked the song. We could barely hear ourselves. I politely asked the bartender to cash us out because we wanted to relax and chill out and it was too loud (I’m not a cranky old man… I like hard rock but the volume was way too high). He was nice but didn’t do anything to keep us there; he shrugged it off with an ‘it is what it is’ look and brought our check. Too bad, I actually like the place and we wanted to try the food But, it will be a while before we try it again.

Great bar it has a good vibe and great service! We tried their chicken wings and fried pickles and they were the bomb

I became hip to this place after a friend of mine dated an employee.
It’s tucked away in a «shopping center» but is close to 75. Which is a plus if you’re traveling and want to grab a drink or some quick food.
The food is typical bar food and delicious in my opinion. They’ve got music, pool, and darts. They occasionally have live bands and trivia.
The bartenders are friendly and accurate.
Be sure to try a skittles shot… they’re delicious.

This is my neighbourhood bar/​grill. The pizza is Ohio style, cut into squares and edge to edge on a thin crisp crust. It’s consistently very good for the style. Standard bar fare done well. The wings are good, the sandwiches substantial, and everything across the board is CHEAP. I mean, notably inexpensive. You can have a beer and a good size sandwich here for $ 10 + tip. Draft list isn’t huge, and the bottle list is a bit spotty, but you can probably find something you like. The staff is very friendly when they’re slow, and very quick and efficient when it’s busy.
Atmosphere is a pretty classic dark blue collar bar. Weekend nights bring local bands playing a lot of covers of classic rock and metal with the occasional jam band. This place is a favourite for bikers, but not the rough and tumble kind from what I can tell, more your veterans and old union workers that like doing some bar hopping on the weekends… friendly people who like motorcycles.
Overall, it’s a good place to grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks during the afternoon, and a good spot to hear some music on the weekends without having to pay a cover or worry about how you’re dressed. Definitely a come as you are and all are welcome sort of place. I like it.

Great place to chill with great service and excellent food. Best chili I know of, homemade chips, awesome pizza. Good lineup of bands.

Great food and great service. The staff is very friendly. We had the pizza and a burger. Both were great but the pizza was excellent! We will be back for sure!

Decent local place. Quick service and bar setup.
We had the chicken sandwich, German turkey sandwich and personal pizza.
All good, we would do it again.

I live in Vandalia and we just love Oscar’s. The cooks prepare delicious food and the bartenders and wait staff is the best in Dayton. I recommend the chicken quesadilla. Great!
