Hinge is much more than a frame shop. They have a gorgeous selection of frames and a lot of beautiful art, including a rotating gallery exhibit. Their gallery turned me onto Brian Brenno’s metal work. Friendly and warm!

This is a great shop. The owner, Brent, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I had all sorts of questions and he took the time to help explain what would work best with the different paintings we would have framed. Also, pricing was extremely competitive (actually better) then the big stores.
I highly recommend Hinge!

Fantastic frame shop, warm atmosphere, great web presence. The shop reminds me of the frame shops we saw in Old Town Geneva this fall while traveling in Switzerland.
For my recent framing job, the owner Brent worked with me on style and cost. He is framing a series of memorable family photos for a gallery style photo wall in our home. We are doing this in batches, over time. Brent’s artistic eye is a huge asset. He is picking the frames with care to be stylistically congruent, but not identical, all while keeping the cost very reasonable.
I bought all of my holiday cards and wrap paper at Hinge, too. One stop shopping!
This frame shop is one of a kind. Such a pleasure to work with Brent in his classic style frame shop. Superlative!

I would highly recommend Hinge Gallery to anyone in need of quality, professional, and creative custom framing. Hinge is a quaint and charming framing shop conveniently located on Paulina in Wicker Park. The owner Brent is knowledgeable, experienced and has a keen artistic sense as he is an artist himself. I recently had 3 illustrations framed for a upcoming gallery show. He gave great advice on the best framing for each piece and did an incredible job. The pricing was fair and the turnaround was quick. I will be taking another piece here shortly. Definitely pop in and check this place out!

Friendly and talented artist and carpenter has opened a frame shop in Wicker Park! This spin off from the wonderfully curated Hinge Gallery art exhibition space is in the perfect location for Wicker Park, Ukrainian Village and Bucktown residents who desire expert framing attention for their artwork and posters. The shop also has a nice selection of unique cards, posters and handmade wooden things (by the shop owner).

A fantastic addition to all of the Chicago Ave shops. I’ve been to a few shows there and they are always fun (beverages provided) with great/​interesting installations! Definitely a place to check out.

Great so far! I am so glad to see a gallery like Hinge in Chicago… finally! it’s exactly what we need, young artists who need to be seen but may have been underrated for their career so far. Includes a variety of medium — photographs, paintings, drawings, collages, interactive work and installations. very nice neighborhood/​community feel. I hear that out-​of-​town artists, some emerging and some established, will be coming to Hinge soon. I’ll be keeping my antenna up.
