I love Amoy. Sophia and her staff make me beautiful. I always get an appointment when I need it.

I got my hair done there by the owner and asked for an ombré and got different color highlight all over my hair. I let her know that I was also a stylist and thats it wasn’t going to come out right but she continued with highlights my hair ended up 4 different colors and damaged! When I went to pay she charged my 160 for my thin hair that didn’t look how I wanted at all. Terrible experience

bought a groupon for a blowout — overall the blowout was OK (not great) but the atmosphere of the salon is not very professional.

I was nervous about getting my hair re-​highlighted because I had been doing my highlights myself for 4 years. The woman matched my highlight color perfectly! I’m so impressed! And she curled my hair for free. She was so nice and I will be going to get my hair done there for my college graduation.

Best facial ever! Tami is unbelievable! I’ve struggled with acne for years and by age 28, I’d tried every product and approach. Nothing helped. I’ve had other facials, but nothing left my skin as clear and beautiful as a facial by Tami. She doesn’t rush through it or leave anything undone. She makes sure your face is going to be perfect. I’ll never forget the moment I lifted my concealer to my face and realized I didn’t need to cover 10+ acne marks. My skin was even, clear and radiant. I return for facials regularly and she adjusts the products and treatment as needed. I wish I found her years ago…

I’ve been going to Tami for facials at Amoy Salon & Spa for about a year, since they moved to the new location which is awesome, and I’m a regular now! I go without fail every 4 – 5 weeks and it’s really helped me a lot with my problem skin. Tami is thorough with her extractions, and I admit sometimes it’s a little more painful then others, but the end result is worth it! She uses great products, especially the cucumber/​oatmeal calming mask she mixes herself from fresh ingredients. She talks to you as she works letting you know what she’s doing and what products she’s using, and changes the routine every time to meet the needs of my skin. There might be a couple days of redness after my facial initially, but nothing a little makeup can’t conceal, and then it’s gorgeous clear skin the rest of the month!

Apparently this salon relocated from Millburn to Vauxhall but the old name and address is still on Unilocal under La Salon 322 Millburn Avenue. That store front is empty but being taken over by a florist. The Vauxhall address is where they are now. If you know he area it’s across the street from Five Guys and Walgreens.
This was the first facial I ever had. At mid-​life I’m blessed with oily skin. The good news is almost no visible wrinkles, the bad news is breaking out like a teenager. Plus I was nervous. We’ve all read about people getting bad reactions from the wrong skin product. But determined to see if a good cleaning would make a difference I braved making an appointment.
I was met at the door by Joy. She escorted me to a clean, sweet smelling, room. I laid down and closed my eyes trying to relax to my happy place. Joy was gentle and soft spoken and calmed my fears while cleaning each pore then applying several different products.
She finished with warm towels and gave me a relaxing head massage midway. The prices are average for the Millburn area and you can save by getting a treatment package. I will definitely be going back monthly. Visible difference and it feels so wonderful, thank you Joy!
