Purchased a $ 2000 mattress here and a $ 40 mattress cover which they suggested to buy and told me I can return it if I don’t like it. When I tried to return it, the guy was extremely rude and told me that he doesn’t care what their return policy says and what I was told when buying the mattress and refused to take the return. I wouldn’t recommend buying from them — the high end mattresses are priced same everywhere anyway(sleepy’s discounts and sales apply to the cheapest stuff only) but taking extra 5 minutes to drive to a different store would let you have a much better experience. UPDATE The person did call me and refund me for the cover.

I purchased a king size Serta mattress for $ 1600 from the Sleepys vauxhall location. After sleeping on it for three weeks I realized it was too soft and was causing me severe pack pain. I exchanged it for one of their premium firmer mattresses which resulted in me paying an additional $ 1648 and the $ 150 fee for mattress disposal for a total of $ 3200. During the week of the exchange I noticed the exact mattress was discounted on Sleepys website. For $ 2699 a new buyer would receive the mattress and an adjustable bed frame valued at $ 1500. When I called customer service to inquire about receiving the bed frame a representative named Karen was extremely RUDE. She told me since the firmer mattress was an exchange that I wasn’t eligible to receive the bed frame. Sleepys is supposed to price match competitors but won’t even price match their own website. I had to speak with her supervisor who was pleasant and helpful. He spoke to his supervisor and after 3 days of waiting he offered me a comforter set valued at $ 99 which is a far cry from the bed frame. I feel like it’s unfair for someone to pay $ 2699 and receive a FREE bed frame and I pay $ 3200 and get offered a comforter set. Sleepys is hiding behind the exchange policy but I already paid the $ 150 which is the exchange penalty. I should get what was advertised. My issue is with customer service. The sales person, Norman is a nice guy.

My wife and I made a visit to the Sleepy’s in Vauxhall to purchase a mattress for our new bedframe. We were expeditiously helped by Mike, who’s very straight to the point and chatty. Unfortunately, the bed we REALLY wanted we couldn’t afford so we settled for a nice firm Queen posturepedic mattress for $ 499. The annoying part is that when it was delievered, due to the shape of our stairway, the guys couldn’t get the boxspring into the bedroom. We had to refuse the delivery(except the mattress) and wait for a «split boxspring» to be delivered the next day — which costed an additional $ 100. In total, we paid almost $ 800 including delivery — still not a bad price. However, a few days later, we went to the BJ’s in Clifton, NJ and saw the same mattress for $ 349!!! The only catch is that you have to transport the mattress — which means tying it to the top of your vehicle — and we don’t own a truck. I would advise anyone to shop around for the best price possible before deciding on a mattress but I’m a stickler for quality not so much of the price.

So beware even if you spend 2500 at Sleepys and get a $ 30 mattress cover… after 30days they will not take the mattress cover back. Also you wait like $ 40minutes for your sale to be processed because they CALL in their sales… there is NO cash register or pos system. By the way… I was returning the cover because we brought two and the product is below standard. When a company has blanket poor service… I spend elsewhere
