The World Famous Venice Barber Shop

Update: got another cut today and I feel fresh as f*ck right now. Which is not a feeling I usually have at 10:35pm on a Sunday night.
If you need a chop, give these guys a call (just in my few visits you can tell that they know exactly what they’re doing with fades/​lines/​etc., which is always nice when someone has scissors in their hand)

Benjamin has got the art of Barbering down to the T. I found him based upon Unilocal reviews (yes, they do work!) and give him a try to get my beard lined up. He has since become my go-​to guy for beard and haircuts. He is just a natural and takes his craft very seriously. His joint looks like a piece of history and fits within the eclectic vibe of Venice. Ben is a young professional, is enthusiastic and brings a lot of positive energy to his business. Highly recommend but do call before showing up.

One of the bests place! The ambient is cool, there’s music playing and the best thing is in Venice. The price is fair and you will get a REALLY GOOD HAIRCUT. I recommend this place to everyone who really wants to get a decent and really good haircut.

Benjamin is a true professional, working hard to do what he loves. I was visiting and decided to try this place out. Best haircut I have received! He really cares about you and he is a very fun dude to talk with.

Benjamin is the best barber I have ever encountered. I have never met anyone who puts so much detail and dedication into a cut. I told him that I never go to the same barber because I like to try all over the place but I know I will be back here. Not only is he amazing at what he does, but it is also a good time just being there. He has great music playing and has great stories to tell.

I found WFVBS on Unilocal after moving to Venice and desperately needing a haircut and could not have had a better experience.
The place looks dark from the outside, but once you open the door you are in Benjamin’s personal creation space that he has stylishly decorated wall to wall with hip hop artifacts, autographed sports memorabilia, and more. The small size of the place is not uncomfortable, and rather helps produce the intimate effect and attention to detail that Ben aims to give with each haircut.
He spent 45 minutes on my hair, making sure to get every detail correct and ask for feedback at any point he thought I would have input. On top of the great cut, you get to hang out with one of the coolest and most laid back guys in LA that has stories for days if you’re interested.
For $ 30, this is a steal. Highly recommended.

I needed a haircut the day before new year’s eve. Ben was very accommodating and stayed open late so I can come in.
I’m not particularly difficult with my hair. I asked Ben to recommend something for a NYE party and he did not disappoint. The haircut was slick, just what I needed.
Ben’s a really cool guy. I was visiting LA and he gave me plenty of advice on things to do and places to see. This wasn’t a boring haircut. It was a very engaging and rewarding haircut. Highly recommended.

GOOD VIBES and even better hair haircuts. There’s love and consideration that goes into everything here, from the décor to the clippers :) I found this place by chance while visiting from Brooklyn and needed just a fade tidy up for my undercut, they did a great job. I’ll be back next time for sure.

Located right in the heart of Venice beach is this amazing barber shop. I myself do not get any services rendered here, but I’ve been there several times to see how things go down.
Location: As previously mentioned, it’s Venice beach, so arrive early especially during the summer.
Services: My favorite feature is the free Street Fighter to kill the time.
As far as the haircuts are concerned, Ben, does a great job. My boyfriend frequents this shop and he does a great job with his hair. I’ve always liked how he walks out.
I would suggest making an appointment, or playing street fighter, but I don’t believe appts. are required.
Overall, a great barber shop, with lots to see and do before and after.

My son and I have been going to Benjamin since he was cutting out of Inglewood!!! That says a lot! Not only are the cuts fly, but the hospitality is always on point! Customer first! That’s why we always come back! To be able to see such vast growth and passion in someone is rare, but he’s got it, and it’s RAW! Honored to see new heights! Only place left to go is all the way to the top!

Best place in Venice. Moved from philly a few months ago and went to about 5 places before I found Benjamin at Venice barber shop. He is a great barber and an even better price for the service he gives. Definitely go to him!

I’ve gotten several cuts from Ben now, and don’t think I’ll go to another barber again. The shop has the best vibe, and Ben takes his time with his craft. You can tell that he cares about every detail and wants to ensure you’ve had the best cut of your life. Never been disappointed leaving his shop. Would recommend it to all who are looking!

So I brought my nephew in for his birthday because poor thing looked like a little mushroom, lol. The barber Benjamin was really humble & welcoming and man did he do a heck of a job fixing my nephews hair. My nephew seriously couldn’t stop looking at himself in the mirror conceited much? lol. Oh & kudos on his playlist, talk about great music! I wish my salon was like that. Overall it was great service.

The best barber shop in Venice. I have been to others in the area. None of them compare to the straight razor shave with the feel of and old school barbershop. If you guys are tired of jumping from barber to barber come here and I guarantee you’ll find your permanent barber as I did.

I have cut my hair here several times. If your all about the fades, then you have found the right spot. They always come through with a clean cut. They usually aren’t to over booked, which is always a great convenience factor. I think both Ben and Vannes are very talented barbers. Very down to earth people, Highly recommend them if your in the city!

I followed Ben all the way out to his new barbershop in Venice from his old spot in Culver City. He is skillful and takes a lot of pride in his work. He owns the shop and is invested in making sure you leave a happy customer.
Highly recommended!

I have to tell everyone about Richie from Hermosa Barbershop! I am a speech-​language pathologist and have a client with Autism who is TERRIFIED to get his hair cut. He and I met Richie on our weekly walk through the neighborhood one day and he let E and I sit in the shop and observe for weeks before he finally was able to cut his hair. He also cut my son’s hair and it looked amazing. Today, my client was typically aggravated and anxious about his haircut, but was happy to see Richie. Richie continually keeps calm and is able to give him an awesome haircut even with a squirming, sometimes screaming or loudly singing child in his chair. My client is a big, strong boy and requires two of us to help him sit through a haircut but all of this doesn’t seem to phase Richie. He is very sweet to E and treats him with kindness and respect no matter what the situation.
I highly recommend Richie to any guy needing a haircut or anyone with a fearful child who needs a haircut. He’s a talented barber with a heart of gold
