I’ve been looking for an electric bike for quite some time. I did my research and went in and out of all the bike shops on Main St. After having a long discussion, asking questions and test rides at ElectroBikes, I pulled the trigger. I bought two bikes from ElectroBikes and could not be happier with my purchase. I worked with Aaron at the shop who gave me an incredible deal that could not be beat on Main St. He is extremely knowledgeable about his bikes, passionate(he rides an electrobike to work everyday) and most importantly very fair. My wife and I left the shop on our bikes feeling like this was the best investment we have made in a long time. Since I ride my bike everyday to work, I’ve taken my bike back into ElectroBike for a quick tune up or tightening of the brakes and Aaron or Daniel(the mechanic) hook it up. They do a full check of the bike and in 15 minutes I’m on my way. If you want a great experience when purchasing an electric bike or if you just want to learn more about electric bikes with no pressure… ElectroBikes is the place to check out and Aaron is your guy!

I have been looking at electric bikes for over 5 years and after all my research I finally pulled the trigger and bought 3 bikes from this place. I had to buy for my wife and daughter. I checked all the specs on the bikes and they are all solid. The Seal 500 is definitely worth over $ 2K. But I got it for much less. The competitors like Pedego can’t even come close. In addition to the lowest price, these bikes are designed from the ground up as electric bikes. Pedego bikes are ‘converted’ bikes. They placed their battery on the rear bike rack. The Electrobike designed their battery placement in the middle and lower to the ground. This gives a more stable center of gravity. The 500W motor has great power and torque for the Seal. The 350W on the Gamma has plenty of torque for my wife and daughter. Aaron, the store manager, is also amazing. With 5 years of research, I had over an hour of question for Aaron about his bikes and he patiently answered all my questions. Aaron is also an electric bike enthusiast and understood all my technical questions. He is very knowledgeable and he is down to earth. Until this week, I have not heard of Electrobike. There’s not even a whole lot of review online. I know, because I did my usual research(it’s mostly in Spanish because they started in Mexico). Now, I’m a huge fan of Electrobikes. If you’re thinking of buying an electric bike, these guys are it!!!

In Los Angeles we are so immersed in car culture that we find it hard to believe that an e-bike can do for us what a car can. Also, I must admit that for the longest time I felt riding an e-bike was cheating, so I used to haul my regular bike in my car to go down to the beach. Since I live on top of a hill and, once I get down, I do not have the stamina to ride back up, I needed the car. However, like many other lucky Californians, I am feeling increasingly strongly about the importance of supporting energy savings and clean technologies. In fact, we are well aware that to support our wonderful lifestyle, oil extraction around the world is destroying environments and communities. Let’s take one region as an example: the Niger Delta. Once a very diverse and rich ecosystem, now, after millions of barrels of oil being spilled and badly cleaned up over the years, the consequences to the environment are disastrous. Crops are decimated, the population suffers from severe health issues, fish is mostly gone, etc. So, when last year I attended a tech event organized by REACH and I got a discount coupon for , I decided to check it out. Here is what I liked about it: The bikes colors and design are top-notch, and as an Italian I am pretty finicky about this stuff. Even the small model I ended up buying(called BETA+) has enough power to go up any steep hill, and the battery lasts for many hours-long rides; Electrobike is a MEXICO-USA startup located in Venice, CA and Mexico City, something I’d like to see much more of and support as we keep growing our global startup communities. Now, here are the reasons why YOUSHOULDGETAN E-BIKE ASAP: REASON #1: has a 40%-50% CRAZYSALE + an EXTRA $ 25OFF if you use Promo Code bridges2italy. Having said that: HAPPYFATHERSDAY! REASON #2: HEALTHBENEFITS. Since I got the e-bike I do not use my car for most short to medium trips to the market, neighbors, local events and the beach, of course. I use pedal assist to go up steep hills but, since I can calibrate the power, I still make sure I get enough resistance to burn plenty of calories. REASON #3ENVIRONMENTALBENEFITS: Charging an e-bike generally costs a few cents and if you decide to get an e-bike to replace your car completely, «the e-bike offsets 1,550 grams of globe-warming hydrocarbons; 1,460 grams of carbon monoxide; and 770 grams of nitrogen oxides for every 500 miles ridden.» REASON #4URBANCOMMUTINGMADEEASIER: The model I own(BETA+) folds and fits easily in the trunk of a car. I can see students as well as urban commuters of any kind using a mix of this e-bike and UBER or UBERPool for instance, to ride across a spread out city such as L.A. without having to own a car.
