This is BYFAR the VERYBEST salt I’ve purchased in years. It’s really hard to find a decent black truffle or white truffle salt and they have it MASTERED!!! I’ve also purchased their vanilla salt which is great for both baking and coffee… Hepp’s Salt Co… it doesn’t get any better than THIS!!! I usually purchase their product at the Farmer’s Market in Hollywood on Sundays. They’re on Selma, right past Ivar usually on your left! Be SURE to stop by this booth and be amazed! Great for holiday gifts as well!!!

There is no store front for Hepp’s Salt Co. They are located at various Farmers Markets like the Farmshop in Santa Monica or the Grove. We first found them at Hermosa Festival when they had a booth. They have several kinds of great salts to sample if you find them at one of the weekend festivals or farmers markets. We went looking for their store and ended up calling their customer service which told us there’s no store front. There’s a good set of 5 kinds of their favorite salts sold at Farmshop for $ 49. It’s in a great little wooden carrying case which makes for the perfect gift set. If you want to try all their salts I recommend finding them at an event or farmers market on a Sunday otherwise you are limited.

We came across the vendor at the Old Calabasas Farmer’s Market today. They had a variety of salts to choose from. We fell in love with the white truffle salt. It was buttery, soft and you can definitely taste the truffle! We purchased a pouch for $ 20. Can’t wait to sprinkle them on as the finishing touch to our dishes!

I’ve tried black truffle salt from many places, I thought I had finally found«the one» it wasn’t until I sampled HEPPS black truffle salt! I immediately bought their 2.5 oz for $ 20(Great price) and carry it around my purse everywhere. Seriously the best! I can’t wait to try their other salts.

We came upon Hepp’s Salt Barrel at the Hollywood Farmer’s market on Sundays from 8AM-1PM. We weren’t actually going to stop but the friendly guy at the booth offered us a taste of the black truffle salt. I could eat an entire meal of just a stick of butter and a saltshaker. With one taste of the black truffle salt, we didn’t hesitate, it was $ 10 for a tiny tony bottle, but it’s damn good, so whatever, my baby won’t wear diapers for a couple days, just kidding, I totally don’t have a baby yet and that’s probably going to get flagged by some abuse hotline. It was worth the money. It’s nice to support local companies and I’m all over the flavored salts as finishing salts, or just pouring them down my throat, which I am not suggesting in anyway, and I’m sure your doctor would sue me for saying that, but I do eat A LOT of salt, on EVERYTHING! Check them out the next time you’re at the HFM or in Venice and kick your sodium levels in the ass. To check out my review of the HFM check here:

If you believe that salt should compliment your cuisine then you need to get your salt at Hepp’s. I am a HUGE fan of the 7 Fire Smoke but I feel like I’m unfairly ignoring all of the other flavor options they offer because they are all amazing. Hepp’s Salt and spices are the perfect addition to your spice rack or a great gift for your foodie friends. They are also at 333 S. Hope Market at Bank of America Building every Friday.
