We are addicted to their smoothies! So delicious and yet so healthy! They even cater to my allergies — so nice! We are vegetarians and they often have vegan baked goods as well as many lunch options. I highly recommend!

One of my most favorite things about traveling is finding new restaurants to experience. I found myself spending some time in Sarasota, FL which sent me hunting for some fun foodie places to visit and I found Island Organics. Located in Venice, about 20 miles south of Sarasota, Island Organics specializes in smoothies and cold-pressed juice drinks. However, we were there for food as well and they did not disappoint. Chad, my companion, ordered the Greek Wrap filled with hummus, romaine lettuce, tomato, cucumber, kalamata olives, red onions, feta cheese and a splash of oil and vinegar. It was fresh, crisp and hearty. To round out his meal he ordered a Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Ice cold deliciousness in a cup. I started my meal with a shot of wheatgrass juice– one of my most favorite healthy treats. Wheatgrass has more Vitamin A than carrots, more Vitamin C than an orange and the full spectrum of all the B vitamins. Wheatgrass cleanses the body of heavy metals and pollutants, is a complete source of protein and floods the body of anti-oxidants. Plus it is easy going down the hatch. I continued my meal with the Tropical Acai Bowl. I had never had an acai bowl before and I don’t know why– it’s like an ice cream sundae in a bowl– only healthier. Coconut milk, acai, blended pineapple, mango and banana topped with granola, more bananas, shredded coconut and honey made this a delightful treat. We left feeling healthy and happy, quite satisfied with our meal. We would absolutely return again– especially to try some of the other smoothie varieties like the Vanilla Peanut Butter Dessert Smoothie and the Berry Cardamom Green Smoothie. Or maybe the Fountain of Youth Speciality Smoothie. Who wouldn’t try that?

My husband and I grabbed a smoothie from here on our way back from the beach. It was fresh and delicious! The place is clean and the staff are friendly.

Always fresh. Great staff as they are always smiling and respectful. Love the relaxed vibe. Really good healthy food. I usually get the Acai Tropical Bowl — so yummy, and then take 1 or 2 of their already bottled juices home with me. Their fresh daily soups are flavorful. The service can be what may be considered«slow» for some people, but they are making everything fresh! So just chill while you await your healthy food options! I love sitting in the front window, and people watching while listening to their piped music.

Great smoothies and lots of delicious vegan options! Have gone quite a few times with both friends and family, and always make sure to stop by when I’m on the island!

My mom, who lives in Venice, and I(from Sarasota) went to Island Organics for the first time on a Monday, late afternoon. I’m quite surprised to read any comments or reviews on the owners/employees, as for our visit, they were nonexistent. Yes, the daughter took our order, offering nothing to the experience in the way of friendliness or general customer service, as we had a couple of questions. The mother was there, too, but said nothing. We were the only customers and waited 20 mins for our wraps. Mine, the veggie on a gluten free wrap, my mom ordered a chicken salad wrap, but after 20 minutes, received a tuna wrap. No napkins were brought with the food, no one checked in with us while dining. It was like we were invisible. I’m bummed because this is such a great concept. I am a vegetarian and gluten free, so this is right up my alley! But the experience was not good. Off day? Maybe… But I cant imagine feeling valued as a customer there.

We love biking down to island organics on Saturday mornings with our one year old! The location is awesome and the smoothies are amazing! My husband loves the breakfast sandwiches and the oatmeal is wonderful. Fresh food is worth the wait, but we haven’t experienced a long wait yet. My picky one year old will eat anything there. The staff is very knowledgable and super sweet! We had our hands full with our son and they brought our food to us even though they do not have table service. They also brought our son his own small smoothie! They are very thoughtful. The prices are on par for the quality of the food. We love going there and would definitely recommend!

Fantastic potential but service takes FOREVER! Juice could have been colder if the items were in the fridge but tastey. The Mediterranean Veggie panini was really good. Come here if you are healthy and patient.

Worst«detoxifier» juice in Venice. Pricier compared to other local organic options too. Ordered a juice and a wrap and spent $ 18.73. The juice(kale, cucumber, apple) was watery and tasteless, with a weird froth on top that was hard to drink. I recommend going to Choices natural market or Café Evergreen if you want a good juice or a fresh tasty wrap.

Cool concept, but I don’t know if I’ll go back. The food was unremarkable. I ordered the vegan sausage. The sausage itself was very ok. What killed it was that they put it on a cheap white hot dog bun. You put hot dogs on hot dog buns. You put sausages on rolls. So the thing was a soggy, two-bite mess. Reminiscent of the hot dogs mom used to boil. Five bucks for yuck. The veggie wrap was ok, but it lacked anything with a strong enough taste to give it any character. It wasn’t bad, just bland. They have a large assortment of smoothies, but they are using bottled juice as a base. The taste of the juice is too pronounced. Just throw fresh organic fruit in the blender. Clean and fresh appearance inside. Smoothie menu is massive and impossible to read. They are relatively new, and their food menu is even newer. They may be awesome to some, but you can do better at home with minimal effort.
