THE WORST DOCTOR IN THIS TOWN.
Set an appointment for my 1^st time with this doctor. My new Primary Care Doctor since I moved here and as I am with the US Military Insurance carrier Tricare Prime. My husband gave 30 years to the Army and he is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
I needed to see my PC dr. so I could obtain an Ok to see an orthopedic dr. as I have damaged my wrist badly. I waited one month in horrible pain for this appt. The appt. was on Nov. 5^th Monday. I moved many things around on my schedule due to Hurricane Sandy not to miss this appointment.
I arrived 20 minutes early with the 10 papers in hand they sent to me to fill out as a new patient. The receptionist asked for my papers, drivers license plus insurance card.
After handed it to her, I was asked who is your insurance company? I replied Tricare Prime. She said, we no longer accept that insursnce. I said, WHAT! Since when? Oh, since Nov 1^st we are no longer accepting Tricare. And I raised my voice in disbelief and asked AND NO ONE COULD CALL ME and tell ME? Then the Doctor came around the corner and said we are not your babysitter, it is your responsibility to know that!!! REALLY! How? How could I know this? Why would I think it? He grabbed the 10 papers I filled out, CRUMPLED then up, came into the waiting room, opened the door to the office and screamed,. GET OUT, GET OUT. I responded, you will be sorry. I know a lot of people.
I went to the car and called Tricare and much to their dismay they knew nothing about him not being a PROVIDER. They were shocked. What probably happened is he decided not to cover Military people anymore, unfortunate, but he sent them a letter and they havent gotten it yet, so he thought they would let me know when it happened just one business day prior!!! HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED HIS PATIENTS TO TELL THEM, BUT HE DID NOT. I will make sure to tell everyone in this town what kind of treatment they can expect from this lovely doctor. My mother has lived her since 1985 WE KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE in VENICE! He never even asked me if I wanted to see him without insurance, what a doctor! HORRIBLE!!! He doesnt care about people!!!
