The guy who took our order was so rude and un attentive. The food was so basic and over priced

Their food wasn’t very good. The hamburger patty tasted like fried rice and they were very stingy on the sauce. The only food thing was their fries. I’m also disappointed that they didn’t have a bathroom.

No flavor and expensive. Save your trip and hit up another spot. Not worth it. Only semi decent thing we had was the sirloin sandwich.

My boyfriend and I came to seed specifically to try their vegan desserts yesterday and boy were we disappointed. We tried their cinnamon walnut donut and the coconut mousse. Their wasn’t even the slightest taste of cinnamon in the donut and it was extremely dry and the mousse tasted like spoiled milk! Not only was the food terrible but the service was also terrible! We paid a little over $ 8 just to throw the stuff in the trash. If this is what they are serving for dessert I cannot imagine the rest of the food they serve here could be any better. We will definitely not be back.

It was good food. Service was attentive and responsive. Being a block from the beach was nice. I thought it was pricey for that they offered, though. Parking is hit or miss. There is much seating in the place.

Delicious food!!! Yeah it’s a little pricey for not being a full service restaurant, but it’s so yummy! And you know you’re eating healthy, quality food. And the people that work there are super friendly. We will be back for sure :)

Delicious vegan food — try the barbecue seitan burger! Located next to mollusk surf shop which is also fantastic.

Being vegetarian, it’s sometimes tough to find good places that cater to your herbivorous desires, this wasn’t one of those places. It began just like any other day, walking up and down through Venice. until IT hit us, and it hit us hard. We were HUNGRYHUNGRY(because let’s be honest, I’m always a little hungry). We then spotted this little hole in the wall while crossing the street«Seed: organic, vegan, and macro something.» We could sense that fellow herbivores lied ahead, so we decided to join them in their feast. As we expected, it’s a nice petite vegetarian restaurant. The interior atmosphere was pretty simple but nice. There wasn’t much seating but the restaurant itself was pretty empty. Also… no public restrooms. and Mother Nature was calling :’( The food itself was really good! It took us some time to pick from the menu, but I ended up getting their breakfast buritto and my mate got the holiday bowl. Although I recommend them both, the holiday bowl was more flavorful, so if you’re forever alone, I recommend getting the bowl! Prices aren’t too bad either. You’re paying for good Vegetarian food on the beach, so yeah :)

So very few macrobiotic restaurants so just for that it deserves 5 stars. I brought people from out of town. Some were not vegan and ordered salads. They were disappointed. The bowls are the best. One of my guests said it is her new favorite restaurant in L.A.

If you just want good bread and creative ways to top it this is the place. They do toast on a whole new level! I had the Avocado Toast, and Carrot-Pesto Toast here. Just really good with the freshest perfectly ripened Avocado. Its not big and fancy. It has just a few tables around the room; But the breads breakfast options and sandwiches are big on the flavor and high in standards. The menu is simple, with a couple of toasts, sandwiches, and some egg options for breakfast. You can tell they put a lot of thought in their dishes with pom-seeds, lemon & spice blend sprinkled on 5 Star Avocado Toast. Good luck buying a loaf of bread as they disappear fast.

Ridiculously Overpriced, but that Vegan Sirloin Burger is well worth it on a good payday! Keep in mind that the sandwiches do not come with fries or a side. Their version of fries are some $ 5 pretentious fries that they call«Pomme Frites». This is a place to try when you can splurge on items priced at $ 4 higher than they really should be! The sirloin would get 5 stars, but it’s pricing took it down. Go ahead and try it if you’re in the area! It’s awesome!

Great place. Eric the owner replaced an ingredient due to my gluten allergy. Food was pretty good.

Sad to report we were really underwhelmed today. Maybe it was the high expectations, with it being so highly reviewed? We tried soup, the BBQ tempeh bowl and the ramen and none of it was anything I couldn’t have made at home, except I’d have used a reasonable amount of salt. Nice staff though. Also, what’s the deal with having no restroom? How is that legal here?

3 stars for the food, but 4 stars total because I really appreciate places like Seed and wish there were more of them! We stopped by here for a quick dinner before heading to the Hollywood Bowl. Due to health reasons, I don’t tolerate grains, so I ordered the BBQ Tempeh Bowl with no rice and extra broccoli. The hubs had the Seitan Pepper Steak bowl. We were both a bit shocked at the cost(the two bowls came to $ 32). We dug into our meals and were pleasantly surprised with the combination of flavors and how nicely everything was cooked. The sauces were really the highlight of both dishes. I would probably come back here again, but try something else instead of another bowl. I’ve heard their burgers are wonderful, and a few of the other menu items caught my eye. Thumbs up for being a place that offers healthy, plant-based options with a mission to help those who are also healing through this diet and lifestyle!

Tried some of the bowls here before, which I was not impressed with. Today I had a Blackened Tempe Burger with a side of fries(see pic) The burger was cooked to perfection, the was no spice to it as expected nevertheless I was happy with it. Fresh and vibrant ingredients. The fries seemed fresh though pretty mundane and generic. I would have liked to see them come out more rustic and with some peal on them, kinda towards Breakfast potatoes. I had aioli on the side instead of ketchup which was excellent and clearly homemade. This place has no restroom so keep that in mind. Complimentary wet wipes if needed though. Parking lot with meter parking right out in front of free street parking down some of the smaller streets nearby if you’re lucky

I was really excited to see a vegetarian spot in Venice while I was on a short trip. I was pretty overwhelmed with their awesome menu, so their staff helped me narrow it down to a few great options. I went with the hardshell tacos. The tacos, piping hot, came with a big chunk of avocado, beans, lettuce, seitan, and salsa. They were amazing(5 stars/5). I also tried the chocolate mousse and a cookie — wasn’t crazy about either of them and wouldn’t order them again, but I can tell that their savory entrees here are seriously good. I’d come back and order any of their main entrees in a heartbeat. Really fantastic service, and a great local business.

So I walked into Seed(terrible name tbh) and I really had to use the bathroom. I walked up to the guy at the counter and he directed me towards the public restrooms on the boardwalk. ‘Okay,” I think, and I start to order. The guy now tells me since I’m eating here, there was a cleaner alternative(down in the hotel by the street). Great. After eating, I headed down there looking for somewhere to ¡¡EMPTYMYBLADDER! The hotel said the bathrooms were for residents only, even after I pleaded and said that I was exclusively referred by the dude @ Seed. I silently curse the guy at the counter and walk 10 more precious minutes to the public restrooms. I had the macrobiotic bowl, and it wasn’t too enjoyable. The brown rice was alright but was really heavy for some reason and kind of reminded me of sludge(but not entirely in a bad way!) I loved how clean and non-bloated my stomach felt after though. The portion was generous and it was a very hearty and filling meal!

Super super awesome café. They are big on organic(yes yes yes!) and macrobiotic(cool beans!) and make delicious food. There is a good variety on the menu. We sat outside to enjoy the weather, but were practically in the parking lot. I think maybe next time we come we will get it to go and eat at the beach, all of 5 minutes away. They have vegan rice crispy treats that are bomb. I actually stopped in here another time just to grab one for a random craving. A must for vegans in Venice!
