Everything has improved… no complaints whatsoever… was here last night. From the ambiance, dining setting, waitresses and food. It’s superb… this will be AGAIN favorite dinner place if we’re in the area. Thanks much

Stay away. Pad Thai = food poisoning. Not exactly how I planned on spending Valentine’s Day. Pad Thai looked a bit suspicious, but taste alright, I suppose. A few hours later… sick as a dog.

AVOID. RUDEAF. SERVICEISBEYONDTURRRIBLE. Tried to order delivery. After an hour, checked on the order and they claimed it was on the way. An hour and a half later, still not there. Called the restaurant and they tried to blame it on a new driver and then HUNGUPONME. When I called again they said«sorry, we’re very busy and can’t talk to you.» Bye, Felicia.

This is a solid Thai restaurant. I have been to fancier, but the flavors cannot top Siam Best!

Their lunch special is a great deal: soup(delicious), salad, rice, spring roll and entrée for $ 7.95-$ 9.95. Used to live near by but always go when I’m in the area now. Panang curry is the best and service is great.

Last night we had a Thai dinner at Siam Best. I really wanted to try another Thai restaurant in the area that got 4.5 out of 5 stars but my BF insisted that he order the BBQ combo there. First of all, the restaurant has fancy place settings with nice glasses and fan folded napkins and the server was wearing a hooded UCLA sweatshirt. There were only two other couples eating in the restaurant when we got there. We ordered shrimp and tofu pad Thai for $ 9.95 which was good but really oily. The Panang curry with tofu for $ 9.95 was watery and had small, perfectly square carrots and peas as if they used frozen veggies. Last time I tried the yellow curry with tofu and I didn’t like it either so I gave the leftovers to my friend’s mother that night too. I am not fond of the curry at this restaurant at all. Brian’s BBQ combo came with shrimp and chicken fried rice, BBQ pork spareribs, BBQ chicken and BBQ beef for $ 11.95. The combo went up from $ 9.95 since the last time he ordered it. He even mentioned that the quality of the food has gone down too. He used to love this restaurant. I was definitely disappointed with the food quality and did not leave as a satisfied customer. Now I realize why Siam Best has received several bad reviews and only 2.5 stars out of 5 on Unilocal!I will not return to this restaurant. :(

I am reviewing their Pad Thai Lunch special ordered through Eat24. I have been trying to find a good thai place where I work. I tried several places through Eat24, all of which are just meh — ok. I was expecting this place to be like the others, but wow! I was in for a good surprise. First off, I received my delivery 25 minutes after placing my order. It usually takes 45 – 60 minutes. The serving is HUGE. When I say huge, I thought I received someone else’s order. For my lunch special, I got Pad Thai, Fried Rice(for a little bit more), Soup(Tom Yum WITH mushroom and chicken), Salad with Peanut Sauce and a veggie roll. I am used to kid-size servings for lunch specials, but Holy Moly, not this one. I still have more than half for my lunch tomorrow! Pad thai was great, cooked perfectly. I’m surprised people rated them low on Unilocal, tbh. I had a great experience and will definitely try more dishes!

I don’t know why this place doesn’t have more stars. This is a good thai place. Good lunch specials and service is good. We came with a big group and the waitresses were on it!!! We were impressive. Service was fast and friendly. Best egg rolls! Peanut dressing for the salad is the best! Fresh lettuce. Fresh ingredients. Happy tummy.

I love their gulf of siam on a big pot. It’s like they brought the whole gulf from Thailand and most importantly with the good price.

The delivery is better than most. The orange chicken was really good even though it wasn’t a Thai dish. They delivered very fast and the stir fried veggies hit the spot just right.

Funny, I am not clear how come most reviews are not full of rave for this fine place. Sizzling sea food plate was gooood!!! Giant shrimps b.b.q. on bed of cabbage with lime juice, Fantastic, Won ton shrimp soup, nice, All in all Go there, I say A — OK, Second time here, unfortunately, opinion has changed… Coconut tofu soup was not cooked,(just heated) Chili Squid dish was saggy, Steamed rice was so old, feels like been cooking for 24 hrs. I start seeing where the 2 ½ stars come from,

We ordered noodles on our second visit. I had the pad see ew and wife had some shrimp noodle dish. It was the worst pad see ew I’d ever had! Meat chunks were indistinguishable and very chewy. Lots of oil in dish and the vegetables were cold. My wife didn’t enjoy her noodle dish either. Had a crab cake which should be called a «crap» cake, so i wouldnt recommend that either. Currry dishes were good as well as the soups.

They should change their name to Siam Worst. Just ordered delivery because I thought I could avoid the service pitfalls that other reviewers mentioned. I kept my order basic, rice paper rolls and some pad thai. The rice paper rolls were almost entirely lettuce. I couldn’t detect any mint and they were also horribly wrapped. They fell apart the instant I touched them, leaving me with what was essentially a box of lettuce. To add insult to injury, the dipping sauce for the rolls was very bitter. I ended up throwing them away. Next I opened the pad thai, figuring that they couldn’t screw up such a commonplace dish. I was so wrong, it was the sweetest pad thai I’d ever eaten. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery and the whole dish had a strange chemical aftertaste. Sooooo gross. Two dishes in the trash, $ 20 wasted, and I’m still hungry. NEVERAGAIN.

Wow, I used to love this place because the fare is decent(not Thai Town-status) and on the west side. The last several times I’ve come here, however, have been less than inspiring. I always order my meals for pick up here, and my order always includes 1 pad kee mao(or spicy basil noodles) with fried tofu and one green duck curry. Every time I come here, regardless of how consistent our pickup orders are, the total is always different. Over the past year, I’ve been charged $ 20.60, $ 19.51, $ 19.62, $ 19.37, $ 20.11, $ 18.53, $ 18.43. They have literally charged me a different amount every time I’ve ordered the same items. While I’ve complained about their inconsistencies, they stare blankly at me and simply say that there has been a rise in prices in their menu or that the previous person who handled my order must have miscalculated. Moreover, in one incident when I called in, I asked if they could deliver my order, to which they said yes. Then, after I placed my order, they called back and said they can’t deliver to my address as it’s on the cusp of Santa Monica. So, I placed the order for pickup. The person who originally took my order clearly did not speak English well, but I trusted him with my order anyway. We drove over there to pick up our order and drove home, only to find out that he had placed an order for pad thai instead of pad kee mao. This mistake would have been a minor one if I didn’t dislike peanuts so much and if I weren’t looking for a spicy meal. We ended up having to drive back to their restaurant to pick up the correct order since we were out of their delivery range, while my boyfriend’s duck curry got cold at home. They tried to make up for their mistake by giving us a complimentary Thai Iced Tea and small box of white rice, explaining that the guy who picked up the phone was their delivery guy who didn’t know English well. Personally, I think they need to train their employees better if they’re going to let someone they know who doesn’t speak English well to answer the phone to take orders because he should have repeated my order back to me to make sure he got it down right. The few times after that incident, I’ve had to ask them to repeat my order back to me before we hung up and I’ve had to check my order before I left the restaurant. This insecurity causes me to make extra steps in ensuring the successful execution of my order, which should be executed by the restaurant, not the customer. The last time I picked up an order from them, I disputed the difference in pricing, and the girl working there explained that they had recently marked prices up. When I told her that they told me last time when I complained about the same issue a few weeks prior, she asked me to describe the girl I spoke with and if she was fat. I’m not going to use this review as a soap box for positive self-image, but the term«fat» is generally not a compliment and there are far more descriptive and less offensive adjectives she could have used for her coworker. When I explained that she wasn’t fat, but definitely not as skinny as she was, she said that she was new. When I told her that I didn’t think the girl was new because I’ve seen her working here for months, she told me that she’s still considered new. How many months does it take for a person to work at a restaurant before they’re no longer considered new? I don’t believe there is much cohesion in the workplace here. If they’re not going to care about each other as colleagues, how can I believe they would care for their customers? It sounds like a «fend for yourself» environment here. My boyfriend picked up another order from them last night, and they gave him burnt rice for his meal. I’ve had it with this place. Although the food is good, the service is frustrating. I don’t care how much I love Thai food. The inconsistencies in pricing, the poor quality of service, and the lack of ownership for mistakes by simply blaming another employee have given me reason to boycott this business. I’m going to wait until I find myself in Thai town or find a better alternative in the west side before I have Thai food again because I refuse to patronize this restaurant any longer. If you still want to come here, they accept credit cards, and do not have a parking lot. There is metered parking in front and free parking in the residential area around the corner.

Waited over 15 minutes just to be seated! The waitress was in the back talking on her cell phone. My friend who was with me walked in the back kitchen to tell her we are waiting. She was the worst with customer service. it took so long for everything. Thank goodness the food was good! At least the Chef knows how to do his job!

Forget the naysayers. This place is cheap and really good. This used to be my go to place when I lived on the west side and they serve delicious authentic Thai and Asian food with pretty big portions. Overall, the staff is friendly and efficient and the restaurant is simply decorated. Definitely worth the reasonable prices for food made to order on Lincoln. Giving them 5-Star LOVE!

Pim as always smiles and greets all customers even when she is the only server! She is very sweet and personable! Kim the owner is also warm and personable! Today I ordered Cashew Chicken lunch special! For the price and what it comes with I think it is very reasonable!

I do not know why everyone trashes on this place so much. First of all they have an excellent fish tank. Second of all great lunch specials. Soup, salad, and a wonton with your meal for 7 $? Can’t be beat Granted I have only tried the lunch menu but have been happy every time. They serve fast and you always leave full. I’m happy with it!
