Don’t make the same mistake i did. Took my Imac to Ben @ Venice Mac. My comp was not running after i installed a new hard drive. After i told him the prob he told me he knew how to fix it and«there was never a comp that i have not been able to fix» i dropped it off at his house and he told me there was a $ 25 bench fee. Which was reasonable. He also asked for my Apple ID and password. Which i reluctantly gave to him. Called me back after a day or so, said he could only get Lion operating sys to work. The comp would not install the latest OS operating sys. He also told me that my log on password was not working and he would have to reset it and that there was an extra charge for that. I told him no. At that point i became suspicious and just wanted my comp back. I drove over the house and had to pay him $ 180 for an unfixed comp. i was very upset. I finally made an appointment at the Apple Store and it was fixed in 1 day with no replacement parts for FREE. Ben had told me i needed a new mother board. He is not Apple authorized and a hobbyist at best. He doesn’t know what he is doing and is taking people’s money. I’m so mad at myself for trusting him. What a waste.
