Moon’s Nails

I was very disappointed after getting a manicure and pedicure here this weekend. The pedicure was okay, not great but not bad. However, the woman doing the manicure repeatedly asked if she could decorate my toenails and was upset when I said no.
The manicure is another story. the woman again asked several times if I she could decorate my nails, and then offered to just do one nail on each hand with some white nailpolish (my toes and hands were both polished a dark red). She then proceeded to decorate one nail on each hand, and then my big toes, with several white dots and glitter. I did not feel like sitting there longer and asking her to redo the nails, but they all looked ridiculous. She asked me several times if I needed an eyebrow wax and tried to point out what was wrong with my eyebrows (whihc are waxed every 2 weeks in philly at a very good place). She started polishing manicure before asking me or giving me the opportunity to pay, and also did not bring my bag with me while nails dried. While my nails were drying, I felt a bug on my arm. I turned to flick if off assuming that it was a mosquito, but no — it was a one inch large black spider.
Also, 3 hours later, my nails were already chipping. I decided to just take off all of the polish on my hands within 24 hours because the manicure already looked so bad.

I’m a summer resident, and used to go here when it was under different management, the shop was a bit worn and not very clean. I went last weekend, figured I’d give it a try. What a difference! The place was updated, very clean, and it was very easy to communicate with the english-​speaking staff. Good prices, a lot less than what I pay in the Philly suburbs, and for better work. My gel manicure and pedicure both looked great. There appeared to be a lot of attention paid to the quality of the work – and it showed. I wish there were more places like this where I live.

If I didn’t receive a good massage, I’d give 1 star to Moons nails. I got an eyebrow wax that hurt more than the usual 10 seconds– the woman burnt my eye lid! Luckily its in the crease of my lid, where I didn’t have hair to begin with…

Friendly, clean. English speaking. Great Prices. Highly recommend whether you are looking for a long term salon or one for the summer. Across from the WaWa and a block from Jagelkys
