Allstate Moving Sytems

We used Allstate Moving Systems for a cross country move to the east coast. It was our first time using movers and with all the horrible moving stories out there we were very skeptical. But the experience could not have been any better! It was flawless. First Maggie from the North Hollywood office came to give us a quote which ended up being the lowest of the 3 quotes we got from national moving companies/​their affiliates.
The day before the move the driver Victor gave us a call and told us he would arrive between 8 and 9am. The next day he showed up on time with another mover, Hector. I was amazed that they were able to get the giant United moving truck into our complex. They went to work right away numbering the boxes and loading the truck. A few items had to be disassembled — a desk and a coffee table but they put them back together upon arrival. They boxed the mattress and box spring and shrink wrapped the couch. All other furniture was wrapped in moving blankets — nice moving blankets, not the smelly ones that you get with UHaul! After they got everything out of the apartment they gave us a detailed inventory list and told us they expect to arrive the first day of the window that was given with the quote.
Sure enough they arrived on time 3,000 miles away. They read us the numbers and we checked off the boxes as they were brought in. I had labelled each box with the room it was going to go in and within 2 hours they were done. A couple of boxes looked like they had taken a beating, which is to be expected, but nothing was broken. All the furniture looked fine. They even put a blanket down on the hardwood floors while boxes were being wheeled in.
All along the way Jessica from the Ventura office stayed in touch with us and answered any questions we had, especially ones about packing. We were very pleased with our moving experience. Thank you Allstate!

At first I was going to hire a company I had used a few times and my sister said to call Allstate. They did give me a lower rate, but you get what you pay for!!! Not only did they leave a bunch of things behind but they destroyed a bunch of my stuff. They said I could file a claim, so I did, they said «we didn’t receive it». The girl on the phone said I had a year to file. Yeah right!!! I sent it in the mail per their instructions, they never followed up. When I called, she said it was 9 months, how very convenient. So the lowsy $ 0.60 per pound they were going to give me, I didn’t get anything! They crushed a 160 year old antique table, scraped up my brand new refrigerators exterior all up, broke every single plastic container, put my king size mattress a queen size box when I payed for a complete covered king and now there is black stains all over it!!! I even tipped them over $ 1000 dollars and gave them 6 air conditioners brand new!!! Such jerks! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF!!! THEY DON’T BACK THEMSELVES UP EITHER!!! STAY AWAY!!!

This is a great moving company! My move was handled by professionals and I was treated like their best customer. I recommend them highly!
