Judging by the names of the ice creams I’m certain they’re thrifty ice creams. I love thrifty ice cream so it was fine with me. It’s pricier that’s for sure but it’s probably due to the location. Oh right it’s cash only which we weren’t aware of since we didn’t look at the mini sign on the back of the register. They have an in store atm though.

DOLEPINEAPPLEWHIPS ! Wow these are awesome. Happy to see someone is taking something so simple from the Mouse and Tiki House and putting it out there for more people to enjoy. I will see you again soon !

This ice cream shoppe although is classic is a bit run down. Ice cream is from Thrifty and the displays and shop itself looked dirty. Nothing special here other than location right on the harbor.

I went in just to let the kids get an ice cream but I made the mistake of getting a rocky road taster… it was yummy! They have a kid’s size which is just enough! Well you know unless you want more because it is soooo good! The people are friendly and the store is clean and offers help yourself water. Nice stop on the harbour.

Wonderful place to be! After a long walk on the harbor, you must come visit this place. My favorites are bubblegum and cotton candy flavor!

My husband and I stopped in while walking the harbor with our toddler. Most of the flavors were almost gone and looked freezer burned. I ended up getting chocolate chip, which was ¾ of the way full, and it was freezer burned. Gross. My husband is lactose intolerant so we were excited to see they serve the pineapple whip. When we tried to order one we were informed that it wasn’t available because the person who turns on the machine wasn’t in but would be in at 11(the store opens at 10). Shortly after 11 someone did come in and turned on the machine. Then they told us it would be another half hour before it was ready. It’s a Saturday and you won’t have a product available for over an hour and a half after you open your doors? Disappointed with the quality of the ice cream and the practices of the establishment. We won’t be returning.

Service is good. Location is great. There are tables right outside shop facing the harbor. Ice cream though is pretty average. It seemed like most of the flavors were thrifty(rite aid) brand. For the price I would rather just go to rite aid for a larger scoop portion.

I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years! There is usually a long line during the summer, because it’s the only place in the area that serves ice cream! The employees working there are usually young adults or teenagers, which isn’t a surprise. But they tend to lack a sense of urgency or care about their job in general. Ice cream is a little on the expensive side, but tastes great. Their sundaes are decent as well. Their scoops are enormous! My boyfriend couldn’t even finish a one scoop cup!

I’ve been here plenty of times and honestly, the ice cream is pretty average. The flavors are all pretty typical of usual ice cream places and nothing really stands out. However, they have dole whip now and out of all the imitation dole whips, this one tastes the most like the original both in flavor and in texture, so if you come here I definitely recommend it

This place does not accept debit or credit cards… You have to pay an extra $ 3.00 to use their personal ATM machine inside.

Seriously the best tasting ice cream! It’s a little pricey but they give you a lot! Compared to Baskin Robbins and such, they have the best cotton candy ice cream.

This place only accepts cash, so if your planning on using your card be prepared to use there covieient at located just inside the door of the resturant. I assume they do this so they dont have to pay the fees associated with credit card transactions, and for those of us that do use cc’s they carge us a $ 3 fee for using there convienient atm plus we git hit $ 2 from our bank costing us $ 9 – 12 dollars for some ice cream. Also here’s a little tip for you… If you want the same exact ice cream with the same flavors head to your nearest RITEAID because they serve Thrifty ice cream which was Thrifty drug store before Rite Aid bought them out. At $ 4 – 7 dollars a scoop I’d rather eat cold stone or go to my nearest Rite Aid for a double scoop costing me $ 2.50

Got a large dole whip before heading out to kayak. It was so delicious I was tempted to go back for more. I love how I don’t have to go all the way to Disney land for my favorite sweet treat.

this place is pretty decent, and should be having a line out the door! after perusing the menu and options, i saw the 805 sundae and ordered that! only change was to have no whipped cream on it my mom and dad also got a mocha almond fudge my sundae was delicious. sweet fresh thick strawberry cheesecake ice cream, with loads of huge fresh ventura strawberries, in a nice waffle bowl definitely recommended for strawberry lovers! mocha almond fudge was also good sweet chocolatey!

Delicious and family owned! I love to come here and catch up with my old high school buddies! The pecan & praline in a sugar cone is even too big for me to finish, the ice cream melts before I hit the bottom. The line is pretty long but worth the yumminess and harborside view :)

You’re wandering around the Ventura Harbor shops and you have an overwhelming craving for ice cream, what do you do? Well, if you’re anything like me, this is an all too real scenario and The Coastal Cone Company the place to go. It has to be the most popular food spot in the whole mall. I can’t tell you how many people I passed by enjoying their ice cream as we wandered around the area taking in the sights. After an hour, we just couldn’t raise the temptation any longer and had to check the place out for ourselves. Service was standard, but quick. The ice cream hit the spot and there are lots of seating options indoors and out to enjoy your treats. It may be February, but it’s always ice cream season.
