I found Digital Dummys through Unilocal,and yes, the 5 star reviews are all very much deserved! Incredible service. I thought my Macbook was completely toast. I was almost in tears on the way home because of how helpful and kind Damon was. I’m happily writing this review on my fixed Macbook now. I would never go anywhere else. Thank you so much! If you are within driving distance of this place and need computer repair, you will be more than satisfied coming here!

I actually found these guys on Unilocal and thought there is no way that they have gotten nothing but 5 stars and great reviews. I stand corrected, they offer an amazing service. I called about a week ago for my Mac that had died. Damon was giving me instructions over the phone on how to fix it myself. I have never heard of an IT company doing this. I ended up grabbing all the components he recommended and took my computer by the shop. I showed up earlier than they were supposed to be open but they were already there. They were very honest and took time to explain what was going on. Four hours later they called me to let me know that my Mac was finished. They even threw in some extras. I haven’t really had a need for computer repair in the past, but I definitely have my place now and will be recommending them to anyone who needs computer repairs.

Damon was easy to work with, honest, and quick to fix my Apple laptop. There is a reason this place has a ton of 5 star reviews.

All the reviews are 5 star for a reason. Once you take your computer here, you will not go anywhere else… why would you when this is the BEST place and he is highly competent. I deleted my old computer fix it guy from my cell phone. I walk my talk.

My husband has been going to Damon at Digital Dummys for years and he has always raved at how honest and reasonable their charges are. Well I went in last week for the first time to have Damon help me and I was honestly shocked!!! I’m embarrassed to say it was something very simple and it did not require a fix at all the way I had originally thought. I was prepared to drop my computer off and come back when Damon was done but instead he corrected my mistake right in front of me and didn’t charge me. I truly appreciate his honesty and integrity. It would have been so easy for Damon to keep my computer and say something was wrong and I honestly would have not known the difference. This place is great. Damon goes above and beyond and makes sure your issue is fixed properly and quickly. I will recommend him to everyone I know who needs their computers repaired or fixed. I was on the phone with Apple Support for over an hour trying to get my iTunes to work and Damon fixed it in no time. He even added the «Start» button to my windows 8 which is much easier to use. Don’t waste time and $$ with Geek Squad. Call Damon.

When you are in business you just have to have a working computer all the time. I guarantee you no matter where you must drive from it is well worth going to have your computer issues resolved at Digital Dummys. The knowledge they have and the speed they work at has proven to me there is no other place I will go. I suggested to the folks at my church to take their computer over to get it fixed and they too were equally delighted with the care, quality and super honest and friendly service that Damon provides. If I could give a 10 on Unilocal I’d do it.

Took my laptop in for a screen issue and had it fixed while I waited. Though I expected a drop off and phone call later in the day with some sort of minimum fee, Damon dropped what he was doing and found a quick/​immediate fix. The other reviews here looked right on and is the reason I went there in the first place.
I’ll continue to go to this business for any other computer problems. It’ll be far better than taking my time to «figure it out» which I have done in the past.

This is the kind of business that is worth of driving to even if you are not local. My Asus laptop appeared to have a DC jack problem. I was expecting to wait at least a couple of days to have it repaired and expected about $ 75 in costs. To my great surprise he called me and said my DC jack was just fine. Within several hours i picked up my laptop. He did ask if I had animals because he cleaned it out and found animal hair inside the computer. I feel so grateful I expected to pay $ 75 because he opened up my computer to diagnose it. Instead, he told me there was no charge. He also gave me some free advice on the best antivirus software which happens to be free. This is the go to place in Ventura County.

This company was fast best pricing i have ever had. He knows what he is doing and will not rip you off. My hats off to a honest computer service company. Dont go anywhere else!!!

I originally found Damon on Unilocal a year and a half ago when I was in desperate need of a laptop computer screen replacement due to an upcoming business trip. When I called him he told me to bring the laptop right in. When it turned out that he didn’t have a screen that fit that laptop, he went on Internet and found one. He called me a couple of days later to say that it had come in, and fixed it while I waited. I have since had him work on a couple more of my computers, and have been completely satisfied with each repair job. He is very knowledge in both software and hardware, honest, and a real pleasure to work with.
Although his repair shop isn’t shiny like a computer store (it looks like a real repair shop), his work is far superior to any work I have gotten anywhere. His prices are very reasonable, and he doesn’t nickel and dime you.
I cannot say enough good things about Damon and his work! Thanks Damon for everything you have done for me.

I spilled some soda on my unibody macbook, like a dummy, and Damon was able to fix it like it was no big deal. This guy knows his stuff. When the new front piece came in, he was able to install it and have it back in my hands in a few hours, that day. He communicates really well and is a super honest guy; you don’t feel like you’re getting ripped off and the work is exceptional!
I will definitely be back when I mess up something else. :)

I have been taking my computer to Damon for a couple of years and he has been very generous to me. He keeps at the problems until they are solved and then is more then fair on his charges. After experiencing techs that have no business touching computers that caused me even more problems and businesses that charge crazy amounts for their work (I will resist naming them), Damon at Digital Dummy’s is a god send. While I really hope I don’t have to go anywhere for a very long while, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have never found a more professional and courteous place to do business. Damon is wonderful and answers all my questions. His knowledge is amazing and abilities to fix any problems I have with my system are the best. I brought my computer in and he had the problem isolated and fixed that day. I would never go anywhere else but here for any of my digital problems. Honesty and integrity all rolled up in one great place.

Damon is awesome! My email program was going crazy and downloading multiple copies of messages, and my computer had several viruses. He fixed everything quickly and efficiently, and he was super patient with me when I called or came back in a few times afterwards with questions about the new email program, etc. I offered to pay him for these follow-​up calls, but he wouldn’t let me, insisting that I had paid to have one machine fixed, no matter what that required. I definitely recommend Digital Dummies!

My MacBook recently ran out of warranty. My battery of course is now no longer holding charge. I called them up to ask how much battery replacement would be and they proceeded to tell me honestly that i coulf probably purchase a battery on eBay for $ 20. The battery I purchased ended up actually being $ 37.99 but I am so impressed with their honesty. I price checked Amazon as well which ended up being $ 64.99. Now that I think about it, why shouldn’t i be able to open up the back, follow some simple instructions and replace the battery myself? For something more complicated in the future, I would totally come back to this place

I called up the shop because of all the great reviews, and asked if they could fix my fraying Macbook Pro charger cord. Damon, the owner, suggested I take a look on eBay for the cord for a fraction of the price anywhere else. I did, and sure enough, found what I needed! He was so sweet and helpful. You KNOW I’m bringing my computers here if I ever have need of actual computer fixing. In fact I just thought of something they might be able to help me with…

Forget Geek Squad or any of the other corporate retailer PC repairers. This is the place to go for your computer repair needs.
Damon is a very honest and personable guy. I had actually brought my newly built custom PC into the shop several months ago because I couldn’t get it to turn on. I called to tell him the problem and he insisted it was likely something I could fix myself. He was actually more concerned about me wasting my time bringing it in and paying for service that would only take 5 minutes to fix. I brought it in anyway and he fixed my problem free of charge.
But then I discovered another problem with my PC in that I couldn’t get it to display on any TV or monitor. So I brought it back in a few weeks ago and it turns out I fried my motherboard by not screwing my CPU fan in all the way. Luckily I was able to purchase the same motherboard for $ 100 cheaper than before due to it being over a year ago. So Damon fixed everything, organized the wires inside my PC and even put in a new CPU fan.
Had I brought this to any other PC Repair Place, particularly one like Best Buy or Fry’s, I’d have paid at least double and that would’ve only been for them to diagnose the problem.
What I’m really trying to say is: If you have ANY computer problems, go to Digital Dummies. They’re the most reasonably priced computer repair business in Ventura.

Really doesnt get any better than Damon! I’ve now taken two computers to Damon plus some issues with a video camera. I highly recommend him to anyone with computer issues! His service is fast, top quality and the best prices around!
