We love Firefly. The cost is very reasonable and you can paint at your leisure (excluding the 2 hour party room). Lots of pieces to choose from and they let you pour your own paints. Very helpful staff and the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. The kilmed paints are beautiful. Great way to spend a day or evening.

Went here a few weeks ago for a relaxing afternoon with my husband and daughter. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of pieces to choose from and lots of creative ideas. They have stencils and stamps, along with different techniques. They also have a tool that dries the paint between coats, which makes the process easier and faster.

Love to go to firefly! It’s a great escape for a girls night or to bring the kids. I take my kiddos each year to make Christmas ornaments and special gifts for grandparents. It’s cheaper then some of the other chains and offers more creative options!!!

Lots of fun, we had a company event here and the kids had fun. 15 $-30 $ for each person including everything! lots of colors and brushes and fun stuff to paint.

I love this place! It’s a break from whatever stressful life you lead! I’ve painted several items, some of which have techniques I never thought I could do, but the staff teaches you how patiently and kindly. The staff is amazing. They are always there ready to help if you need it! If there is something you see that you want to learn to do, they’ll show you how to do it. The prices are pretty great! There is a studio fee of $ 7 and the items start at $ 7. Color Me Mine has a studio fee of $ 10 and the items start at around $ 12. It takes a week from beginning to end to get your piece. They take a week to fire the pieces, but it’s so worth it! I’ve always had everything I painted ready on time. They have lots of great paints to paint with and a fantastic selection of things to paint!

Not only is this place pricey, but if your going to write down a date to come pick up your purchase… Have it ready on that date! Went to pick up our families art work the day they said it would be ready and the lady told us that it needed another hour. After 3 hours we went back and it still wasn’t ready. At this point we asked for a refund and the girls attitude changed from being somewhat sympathetic to a completely rude snob. I cant believe the way this place functions. Thank god they opened a color me mine in the collection, as that is where we will be going from now on.

I ended up here after a stressful situation, and I never left. I paint here weekly. I was NEVER artistic until I came here. The nice employees taught me all kinds of techniques and showed me ideas, and also left me on my own to find and grow my creative process. This is a great place for everyone, young and old, male, female, artist or not.

My brother introduced me to painting fun at Firefly in 2004. I moved to Ventura County in 2011, and now I have an annual membership, because I come here so often! They have a great selection of bisque-​ware to paint, and you can place special orders for specific items. The color selection is amazing, and they recently added incredible shimmering glazes! There are fun family craft days, room for birthday parties, Ladies’ Night once a month, and other events. They even ship! It’s great fun, and everyone working there is friendly and knowledgeable — and happy to help with technical or creativity questions!
