I cannot believe this company is still doing business in Ventura. My father who is 92 years old was sold First American Home Buyers Protection by Troop Real Estate. First American sends this company to fix exploded kitchen faucet over a month ago. Guy arrives and says he will have to order a faucet. Really, hardware store down street has them, lowes, homedepot all in stock. Ok order one. It is going on six weeks with 3 appointments that Rite A Way Services have made and not showed up. Have had other jobs go overtime or other emergencies. Where at the local bar? What a crock. 92 year old washing dishes in the bathroom for over a month. Shame on you RITE A WAY… and you too FIRST AMERICAN HOME BUYERS PROTECTION CORPORATION. and TROOP REAL ESTATE thanks for nothing.

If I could give a «0» star, I would. My home warranty company, First American Home, assigned them to fix a plumbing problem. They were supposed to call within one business day. I gave them two days and when I tried calling their 800 number, no one picked up the phone. I called my warranty company and the first customer service rep couldn’t get them either. The home warranty rep transferred me to their customer complaint resolution rep. She tried calling Rite-​A-​Way and did get thru. They told her I was scheduled for service the next day and they had been leaving messages for a return call. That was a lie considering I have an answering machine and all incoming calls also ring on my cell phone. When the warranty rep went back to talk to the Plumbing company she said they would see me on Friday between 3−7PM. What happened to Thursday? Anyway, I agreed to the Friday appointment. Guess what?, they never showed up on Friday. I called the home warranty company Saturday morning and they arranged to have another company come THAT day and they took care of my problem.
Run…don’t walk away from Rite-​A-​Way.

Sent a guy through First American home shield warranty that smelled like alcohol and told me he would need to have the entire furnace taken down. I called another plumber that crawled into crawl space and fixed it the next day. First plumber never did anything he promised, but showed up as an emergeny, I assume guaranteeing to get the job. Didn’t follow through on anything he said he would do. A week later the plumbing company called me and I told them someone already fixed it and I cancelled the home warranty that came with my escrow. A useless scam sellers and realtors use to cover the things they don’t wish to fix as far as I’m concerned. First American cancelled the contract but they still had the nerve to try and squeeze 60 out of me.

Their plumber, Aurelio, came out on a Saturday with no extra charge! He was friendly, knowledgeable and quickly found the leak under the bathtub and took pictures to show me! He had to crawl way under the tub to fix the leaky faucet.
I can’t ask for a better experience! I would have given five stars but, he didn’t have the right size valves on his truck to fix another problem he found. So, he must come back. :-(
But, all in all, they were able to come out quickly, and fix a serious second floor bathtub problem!

Devastating experience!!!- Rite Away sent a plumber to us to fix a leak. The plumber, Brian, set our house on fire, and tried to cover up the damage before we could see it. We were charged $ 1400 beyond the American Home Shield coverage for this, and the owner of the company Roland Nunez said he would refund this but has not even done that. In addition, the $ 2400 was for rerouting one pipe and mapping out all the pipes in the slab. This map was never provided to us. All in all a nightmare! And it will take us weeks to remove the smoke, soot, and repair the walls inside and the stucco and drywall torn out when the firemen came, and it cost us another insurance claim– all thanks to Rite-​Away.
